The upcoming new Thunderbird Are Go! series looks like it has potential to be something cool that fans will enjoy. Everything that's been released so far has looked really cool, but today we bring you one of the best things that I've seen yet. It's a video tour of the locations that will be used in the series, and the detail is stunning.
What makes these so awesome is the fact that they are practical physical miniature sets that were built by the talented wizards over at Weta Workshop. The sets include the Tracy brothers’ island base and several other locations. You can get your first look at the Tracy brothers in the series here.
The cast is led by Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl) as Lady Penelope and David Graham (Thunderbirds 1965) is reprising his role as chauffeur and International Rescue agent Parker. Other characters include the unstoppable inventor Brains, who...

A couple of weeks ago, we got our first teaser trailer for the upcoming series Thunderbirds Are Go! All it included was a distress call and a glimpse at the redesigned Thunderbird 5. Today, we have our first look at the Tracy brothers team, who are the main characters in the series, and as you can see the CGI character designs replicate the look of the old marionette puppets from the original 1965 series.
Below you will find some additional details on the upcoming series. I'm kinda excited to see how this turns out!

ITV has released a brief teaser trailer for their upcoming live action/CGI hybrid series Thunderbirds Are Go! There's no footage of the characters in the teaser, just a distress call and a glimpse at the redesigned Thunderbird 5. It also points fans to the official Thunderbirds.com website, where you can learn more about the upcoming reboot of the 1965 series.
The special effects in the series were done by Peter Jackson's Weta Workshop. I haven't seen the original series in years, but it was fun to watch. I know there's not much to see in this teaser, but I think this could be a great reboot if it's done right. I'm looking forward to seeing more. Below you'll find some additional details about the upcoming series.

The first promo teaser trailer is out for "Thunderbirds Are Go!," the upcoming TV series reboot of the classic super-marionation 1965 series about the Tracy family and the team of International Rescue. ITV Studios and Pukeko Pictures are producing the new show which will blend CG and stop motion animation with the help of Weta workshop.
The teaser is decidedly vague, keeping information about the show to minimal levels other than showing off a brief glimpse of the space-based Thunderbird 5 station. There's also a link to the show's official site.
Rosamund Pike, David Graham, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, David Menkin, Kayvan Novak, Andres Williams, Adjoa Andoh and more lend their voices to the show which is expected to premiere sometime next year.

Remember the British TV series from the 1960s, Thunderbirds? The puppet, action, sci-fi epic series holds a special place in the heart of a certain generation and now the folks from ITV Studios are hoping for it to catch on with an all-new audience. The series is going to be relaunched in 2015, with the name Thunderbirds Are Go, and they've tapped Weta to handle the effects for the update- which will use a combination of miniature sets and CG characters. The original was filmed using a technique that creator Gerry Anderson called Super Mario Nation (I like that!)...oh wait, I'm sorry. That's Supermarionation.
While no official images have been released of the characters, sets, or the new visual aesthetic, this invitation from ITV does give the world it's first look:

Gerry Anderson's Thunderbirds is returning to television in 2015, and here's who's voicing the characters...
Earlier this year came news that Gerry Anderson's Thunderbirds is returning to ITV with Thunderbirds Are Go!, which prompted us to scribble a wish-list of what we'd like to see in the new series. A role for Grandma Tracy (tick!) and the return of the original series' Parker (sort of tick! Close enough anyway) were two such items.
Here are the actors announced as voicing Anderson's well-loved characters in this modern update...
David Graham as Parker
Bringing continuity from the original series to the new is David Graham, the voice of Brains, Gordon Tracy and more in the sixties Thunderbirds. Graham is to bring Lady Penelope's chauffeur Parker to life in this iteration of the series.
Rosamund Pike as Lady Penelope

ITV is developing a reinvention of the 1960s series "Thunderbirds," and it's going to star a lot of familiar faces. Called "Thunderbirds Are Go!," the new show will feature Rosamund Pike and "Game of Thrones" star Thomas Brodie-Sangster.
Pike will play secret agent Lady P, while Brodie-Sangster will portray both International Rescue brothers Gordon and John Tracy. Also in the cast are Kayvan Novak as Brains, Rasus Hardiker as both Alan and Scott Tracy, Sandra Dickinson as Grandma Tracy, David Menkin as Virgil and Andres Williams as The Hood, the show's villain. Original voice actor David Graham will reprise his role as Lady P's chauffeur Parker, while new characters will be voiced by Angel Coulby and Adjoa Andoh.
"Thunderbirds" creator Gerry Anderson passed away in December at age 83 after a two-year battle with Alzheimer's disease. His original series ran from 1965 to 1966. This new show will air on ITV in 2015.

ITV's new series brings in Rosamund Pike as voice of Lady Penelope, with David Graham returning as chauffeur Parker
Rosamund Pike will provide the voice of Lady Penelope in the new ITV version of Thunderbirds in a cast that also includes Fonejacker's Kayvan Novak.
However, some things remain the same: David Graham, who provided the distinctive nasal tones of Lady Penelope's chauffeur, Parker, in the original 1960s children's series, is to reprise the role.
Pike, the actor best known for her role as a double agent opposite Pierce Brosnan in James Bond film Die Another Die, said she was "very excited to bring Lady Penelope's wry wit and taste for adventure to a new generation".
The new series, which will be called Thunderbirds are Go!, also sees the return of Graham as the voice of Parker. Graham voiced Parker, along with three other puppet characters, in the original series...
