- American jazz trumpeter. Studied at the Granoff School of Music. Moved to New York, playing alongside Eric Dolphy and Booker Ervin in a band led by Charlie Mingus, 1959-60. Free-lanced in Europe during the 1970's. From 1983, noted for his late night jam sessions at the Blue Note. Also lectured in jazz at UCLA and the University of Vermont.
