"Chuck Versus The Seduction"

6 October 2008 6:03 PM, PDT | From avclub.com | See recent The AV Club news

This episode confirmed my suspicion: Chuck is on a roll. The jokes are punchier; Chuck's taking a more active role in the spy stuff; Morgan's not nearly as annoying. And while guest stars were not very successful last season (I expected more from you, Rachel Bilson), tonight saw not one, but two near-perfect outside castings. Both factored heavily into the story, which was a riff on the 1982 comedy My Favorite Year. The first was silver fox John Larroquette in the role of Roan Montgomery, a rogue agent so well trained in the art of seduction, he makes even stone-faced Diane lose her composure. (Side note: When the camera first found him, I thought for a second that the show had scored Tim Robbins.) He's tasked with taking Chuck as his disciple when it's revealed that the real cipher is in the hands of the Black Widow, a...

MAKING WAVES: Tom Sturridge Joins Cast In Indie Romance 'Waiting for Forever'

24 September 2008 9:26 AM, PDT | From The Movie Fanatic | See recent The Movie Fanatic news

Even before we put the spotlight on Robert Pattinson, tMF has been covering the acting career of fellow British actor Tom Sturridge (http://themovie-fanatic.com/hotlist/rising_stars/tom_sturridge/). Following a fantastic performance in Like Minds - together with another favorite, Eddie Redmayne - we were disappointed when the producers of Jumper replaced Tom with the more popular but definitely less talented Hayden Christensen. Now, in a bizarre coincidence of sorts, Tom will be appearing in a new movie with Rachel Bilson (who replaced another actress previously cast in Jumper). Here's the good news for all Tom Sturridge fans - this was just posted by The Hollywood Reporter (http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/content_display/film/news/e3i324d533915afe51bafbd5fc55f77357e): Tom Sturridge is starring in Waiting for Forever, an indie romantic comedy being directed by James Keach. 23 September 2008 5:14 PM, PDT | From screeninglog.com | See recent screeninglog news

Just yesterday we reported Rachel Bilson joined James Keach’s upcoming romantic comedy “Waiting for Forever,” and according to the Hollywood Reporter earlier today, seven more have signed on to star in the film.

Joining Bilson are Tom Sturridge, Jaime King, Nikki Blonsky, Scott Mechlowicz, Riley Smith, Blythe Danner and Richard Jenkins. That’s quite a cast Keach has lined up.

Sturridge stars as the lead character, a young man who prefers not to work and decides to reconnect with his childhood love, a TV actress living in Hollywood (Bilson).

Keach is directing a script by Steve Adams. The low-budget film heads into production next week.

Sturridge’s acting credits include “Vanity Fair” and “Being Julia.” King will next be seen in Frank Miller’s “The Spirit.” As for Blonsky, she starred in last ear’s hit musical “Hairspray.”

He joins the already cast Jaime King, Nikki Blonsky and Scott Mechlowicz in the film that The Hollywood Reporter says sees Sturridge play a wanderer who tries to reconnect with his childhood love, an actress in Hollywood, who is played by JUMPER's Rachel Bilson, who we reported joined the cast yesterday. King plays the man's sister-in-law, who helps him after his brother rejects him.

Shooting kicks off on the film next Monday (September 29).

Bilson was last seen in the massive 2008 movie JUMPER, which was released back in February.

Rachel Bilson is 'Waiting for Forever'

22 September 2008 6:07 PM, PDT | From GetTheBigPicture.net | See recent Get The Big Picture news

The lovely Rachel Bilson will be pined for yet again in the new independently-produced romance, Waiting for Forever. Bilson, late of Jumper, will be seen in next year's New York, I Love You, though her film career hasn't exactly exploded.

The film is about an unemployed guy who figures that's an A-OK way to go through life, so long as he's got a beautiful actress to pay his bills. The script is by Steve Adams, and James Keach will produce. Keach has directed plenty of times before, most recently Blind Dating with Chris Pine, but he's probably better known as a producer for films like Walk the Line.

Variety reports that the production will start up sometime in the next, oh, week, headquartered in Salt Lake City. The role of the lazy boyfriend hasn't been cast just yet.

And if you're thinking I only posted this story to run a gratuitous photo of Rachel Bilson,

Casting Bites: Cage Becomes a Knight, Bilson is Stalked, & Spall Goes Horror

22 September 2008 5:32 PM, PDT | From Cinematical.com | See recent Cinematical news

We seem to be moving into the season of the Nicolas Cage. The actor has a slew of projects cooking up, and has just added another to the mix. The Hollywood Reporter posts that he's going to work with helmer Dominic Sena (Gone in Sixty Seconds) again on a new film called Season of the Witch. But this isn't a tale of pointy hats and black cats. Cage will be a "14th century knight transporting a girl suspected of being the witch behind the Black Plague" to some monks that can exorcise her demons. So basically, he's going to be all armor-clad in an on-the-ground version of Con Air. The new bad lieutenant in the 14th century! Can you dig it?

Meanwhile, Variety reports that ex O.C. star Rachel Bilson has signed on for a stalkeriffic-sounding indie romance called Waiting for Forever. The film will focus on "a young

Rachel Bilson Plays Real Life Beautiful Bridesmaid

22 September 2008 2:30 PM, PDT | From Popsugar.com | See recent Popsugar news

Rachel Bilson looked stunning in her green bridesmaid dress she designed with Brian Reyes as the maid of honor at Josh Schwartz and Jill Stonerock's wedding at a Santa Barbara ranch on Saturday. The O.C. creator and his wife are close to both Rachel and Adam Brody, who went to Vegas bachelor/bachelorette parties for the couple. We didn't get a glimpse of either Adam or Rachel's current boy Hayden but Rachel looked like she was having a blast posing for photos with the wedding party even without a date by her side to keep that beaming smile on her face. Rachel Bilson is ‘Waiting for Forever’

22 September 2008 7:29 AM, PDT | From screeninglog.com | See recent screeninglog news

Rachel Bilson has signed on to star in James Keach’s upcoming indie romance “Waiting for Forever,” according to Variety.

The film, written by Steve Adams, follows a young man who prefers not to work and decides to spend the rest of his life with a TV actress living in Hollywood.

Bilson’s big-screen credits include “The Last Kiss,” “Jumper” and the upcoming “New York, I Love You.” She’s also known for playing Summer Roberts on television’s “The O.C.

I know at these early stages it’s hard to come up with plot details, but right now, “Forever” doesn’t sound all that exciting to me. I mean, there’s gotta be a little bit more to this story of a man who simply decides to live with his love.

Maybe we’ll get a better taste of this romance soon. Then again, with the good-looking Bilson in one of the lead roles,

Rachel Bilson Getting Romanced Some More

22 September 2008 7:28 AM, PDT | From cinemablend.com | See recent Cinema Blend news

Since breaking into stardom on The O.C. a few years back, Rachel Bilson has vacillated between doing bad indies (The Last Kiss) and bad big-budget adventures (Jumper). She'll attempt to end the losing streak by going back to the indie side, starring in the romance Waiting for Forever. As a stretch, 27-year-old Bilson will play a 25-year-old Hollywood actress, whose boyfriend chooses to quit his job and simply live with her for the rest of his life. The boyfriend, apparently, has not yet been cast. Variety also reports that James Keach, who most recently directed the indie romantic comedy Blind Dating, will direct the film.

Off a script by Steve Adams, the upcoming big screen mainly speaks of a young man who's happy without a job and decides to spend the rest of his life with his love, a 25-year-old Hollywood actress who is played by Rachel. Rachel Bilson Forever

Rachel Bilson is hot. That much is a fact. Sadly she's been stuck in some sub-par material (i.e. "The OC") so I haven't had much opportunity to enjoy her, um, assets. But Bilson has been set to star in the indie romance flick WAITING FOR FOREVER. She'll star as a young TV actress whose boyfriend gives up his job and decides to spend the rest of his life living with her. The film will be directed by James Keach, who will also produce. Rachel Bilson has warned fans she won't be planning a big star-studded wedding when it's time to settle down with boyfriend Hayden Christensen - because the pair want to elope.

The actress hates the idea of spending her wedding day in the spotlight, and wants to celebrate with as few people as possible.

Bilson - who has dated Christensen since 2007 - says, "I want a very small wedding. I don't like attention like that. I'd want to elope"

Bilson: 'Dating Co-stars Is Normal'

5 September 2008 5:12 AM, PDT | From wenn.com | See recent WENN news

Rachel Bilson insists it is normal for actors to date their co-stars - after she fell in love with Hayden Christensen on the set of Jumper.

The former O.C. star met the actor while they were making the 2008 action movie and they soon started dating.

Bilson was also romantically involved with Adam Brody while they were both starring in the teen drama series. They split in 2006.

And the actress is convinced that if you work with someone everyday, it is easy to fall for their charms.

She tells New York Post magazine PageSix, "They say don't date your co-star, but that's who you're around. If you're in an office, and you see someone everyday and you click well, you'll start dating. It's the same thing."

And she adds of Christensen, "I have someone really great. Someone who can make me laugh - that's always what comes first. It's the best to be able to really, like, truly laugh with someone like they're your best friend, you know?

Two actors in need of a career rennaissance are Paul Walker and Hayden Christensen. Once considered to be two of young Hollywood's hottest properties, both have seen a significant decline in relevance and work. Once the king of the galaxy as young Vader, Christensen has been relegated to the role of that guy who's banging Rachel Bilson, while Walker is running scared back to the fast and furious glory days. Fittingly, the two have decided to join forces in an attempt to regain their places...

Final Tiff 08 titles announced

19 August 2008 1:29 PM, PDT | From QuietEarth.us | See recent QuietEarth news

For a total of 312 films from 64 different countries. Wow, I wish I could go. Of the remaining announcements in 3 different sections, the most intriguing would have to be Vincent Cassel playing legendary French gangster Jacques Mesrine in Public Enemy No. 1. It's listed as a "work-in-progress" so I guess that means what will be screened is not the final cut. Another I'm looking forward to is The Lucky Ones which stars one of my favorites, Tim Robbins. It's about some returning soldiers who go on a road trip across America. Check out the full list following.
