Ryan X. Messcher
- Actor
- Composer
Ryan X. Messcher is a Boston-based voice actor and composer whose work is featured in film, animation, games, podcasts, and more.
With a background in theater and improvisational comedy, Messcher has honed his voiceover skills with several classes taught by some of his heroes, including Rick Zieff, Crispin Freeman, and Julia Bianco Schoeffling. Behind the microphone, he is best known for voicing Burgess, the player's loyal neighbor in Pathea Games' "My Time at Sandrock," and Elvis, a small but brave Brussels Griffon in Storic Media's "Detective Dexter" podcast series.
Starting with drum kit lessons at the age of eight, Messcher's interest in music has taken him to Berklee College of Music--where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Film Scoring--and beyond. Now, he is a BMI composer under his own publishing company, MesscherMUSIC. Whether in the form of live string orchestrations to emphasize the tribulations of a Honduran immigrant making a living in NYC, as in the award-winning short film "Recoba" (2022), or as atmospheric tracks that mirror the player's journey through the eerie arctic landscape of "Desaturation Point" (2022), Messcher puts story, setting, and character at the forefront of every composition.
