Britain's Prince Andrew was mistaken for a pub. The Duke of York - a keen golfer - was calling his friend and golf coach Doug McClelland to discuss their lessons when his official title confused the sportsman's young son. John Hopkins, golf correspondent for Britain's Times newspaper explained: "'Could I speak to Doug, please?' the Duke asked. 'Who's speaking?' the child asked. 'The Duke of York,' the Duke replied. 'Ok, hang on a minute,' the child replied before shouting: 'Dad, it's for you. The pub's on the phone.' " Andrew - who has a handicap of four, meaning he is able to compete in professional tournaments - also confessed to giving his coach a shock during their first session together.
