- Born and bred in Cork, Wendy spent many years performing at the Cork Opera House, The Everyman Theatre, The Granary and The Cork Cat Club (where she received a nomination for best newcomer early in her career). After having gained credits in Ireland and England for Theatre and shorts such as Dallus, in which she played 'Sweetie', she continued on to do a considerable amount of work in New Zealand where she toured different theatre productions. Wendy worked with Every Day Theatre Company performing the very challenging 'Family in Crisis' in prisons. Just before leaving New Zealand she took on the lead role of 'Natasha' in A shortcut to Happiness by acclaimed writer Roger Hall.
Wendy trained at Drama Studio London where she graduated with Honours. Previous to this, she attained an Honours Degree in Theatre and Media Drama with Psychology from the University of South Wales after having already earned a Performing Arts Diploma with Distinction from Stiofain Naofa. She is also a Licentiate of Speech and Drama from Trinity College London.

Wendy is a highly qualified drama teacher/director, facilitator, vocal coach and performer with over 15 years of experience. It was little wonder that Wendy chose this path as she grew up in the business due to her Mother owning a Performing Arts school in Cork.
Wendy has practised her expertise through working in Ireland, England and New Zealand allowing her to develop a more broad and diverse set of skills. She has obtained significant qualifications and training since 1995 including a BA (Hons) in Theatre and Media Drama with Psychology, classically trained at Drama Studio London, and also successfully obtained her Licentiate in Speech and Drama with Trinity Guildhall.

Her dynamic skills set that includes speech & drama, characterization, confidence building, self- presentation, public speaking, improvisation, audition technique, workshop facilitation, Shakespearean text, dance, piano and many more, ensures that her students are getting the most out of their time. She is an extremely focussed and energetic instructor with a hunger for getting the very best out of her students, both children and adults. As a professional actress Wendy has most recently appeared as the leading lady (Natasha) in the critically acclaimed A Shortcut to Happiness by Roger Hall. She enjoyed a great deal of touring in New Zealand with Everyday Theatre Company and in England with the Oxfordshire Touring Theatre company. One of Wendy's favourite roles was at the Pentameters Theatre in London where she played one of the principal roles (Mary) in New Morning by Declan Hughes. Wendy has performed in many theatres in London, also at the Granary theatre in Cork for her role as Kattrin in Mother Courage and countless productions at the Cork opera house for many years.
