Do you agree or disagree with your fellow viewers?
Here are the complete poll results for who fans think should have made it through to the finale:
33 — Maddie
20 — Duo Rings

11 — Fusion Japan
4 — Mr. Pants
3 — Freckled Zelda

While series judges Simon Cowell, Sofia Vergara, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel are still around to offer their support and critique of the acts, the power is out of their hands and rests all America’s vote. Only two acts from each of the five qualifying groups will win over America and earn a spot in the “AGT” finale.
The two acts that advanced from Qualifiers 1, which aired live on NBC on August 9, were country hit-maker Drake Milligan and Terry’s Golden Buzzer, saxophonist Avery Dixon. Qualifiers 2 aired on August 16 and featured performances from comedians Aiko Tanaka and Mr. Pants, aerialists Duo Rings, musician Freckled Zelda, dance group Fusion Japan,...

This summer, “America’s Got Talent” returned for its 17th season with Terry Crews resuming his hosting duties and Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, and Sofía Vergara once again making up the judges panel. As in the past, this year’s champion will take home a 1 million cash prize and be able to showcase their talent as a headlining act in Las Vegas.
In the preliminary round, 138 acts were chosen by the judges to advance in the competition, but they’ve been narrowed down to only 55 to compete in the Qualifiers. Among those 55 are the six chosen by the judges and Terry with their Golden Buzzer. Terry picked saxophonist Avery Dixon, Howie chose singer Maddie, Simon went with vocalist Sara James, Sofía threw her support behind dance group Mayyas, and Heidi gave the honor to songstress Lily Meola. On the July 26 episode, the judges and Terry joined to give a...

Who’s performing tonight on “America’s Got Talent“? The Season 17 live shows continue August 16 on NBC with the Qualifiers 2 group. This lineup notably includes cosplay singer Freckled Zelda, whose powerful voice surprised the judges during her audition, and Mr. Pants, a stand-up comedian dressed as a common pair of trousers. Remember, this year the live shows have gotten a major facelift. Gone are the days of Quarter-Finals followed by Semi-Finals. Instead, there will only be five Qualifiers rounds, with two out of 11 acts advancing from each group — yes, that means nine acts will go home each week.
Also on Tuesday night, two Golden Buzzers return to the big stage: 11-year-old singer Madison “Maddie” Taylor Baez (pushed by Howie Mandel) and country singing trio Chapel Hart (pushed by the whole group). Maddie previously tricked the judges into thinking she was just a simple audience member, while Chapel Hart took America by...

Last week, viewers of “America’s Got Talent” were given their first voting task of this 17th season: to choose who would become the 55th and final live show act. Judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and Sofia Vergara narrowed down the decision to four contestants: singer Ben Waites, singer Debbii Dawson, sword swallower Auzzy Blood and comedian Jordan Conley. During the August 9 live show, host Terry Crews officially revealed the results, and it was good news for Jordan.
During the comedian’s original audition (watch above), he was easily the best stand-up comedian shown in that episode. His confidence and infectious personality wowed the judges, with all four voting to advance him to the next round. In fact, Simon couldn’t stop laughing and Howie compared him to Kevin Hart.

Season 17 Episode 2 rankings:
11. Marvin Achi: What did we just watch?! How is that worthy of advancing? Not sure, but it did and I disagreed with the judges not named Howie. A waste of a spot in all honesty and social media let that fact be known.

Night 2 of auditions on “America’s Got Talent” season 17 continued on June 7 with another slate of audition performances from acts vying for this year’s 1 million prize. “AGT” host Terry Crews was back in the theater with series judges Simon Cowell, Sofia Vergara, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel after offering up his Golden Buzzer to saxophonist Avery Dixon on Night 1. Among the Night 2 acts was comedian Aiko Tanaka who impressed the judges with her set of jokes focused on the immigrant experience in America. Watch the full audition in the video above.
Aiko’s set up to her comedy routine was perfect — she told the judges that she works as a translator, which she loves because “when [she] screws up [she’s] the only one that knows about it.” That short joke about translating from one language to another was a great foundation for her set that began with how her own name translates...
