Actor Shia Labeouf was briefly involved in a relationship with his Wall Street Money Never Sleeps co-star Carey Mulligan. But their relationship was something that Michael Douglas, who played Mulligan’s father, felt would’ve been a bad idea.

The episode of Revisited covering Disturbia was Written, Narrated, and Edited by Kier Gomes, Produced by Tyler Nichols and John Fallon, and Executive Produced by Berge Garabedian.
The suburbs can be a scary place. The quiet and seemingly peaceful neighborhoods can sometimes be the living place of the very worst of secrets. You’re neighbors all seem to keep to themselves but the lonely old man across the street may just be hiding something sinister only a few feet away from where he waters his lawn. After all, the scariest of things are often found in the least likely of places, which is partially what makes them scary in the first place. And in the case of 2007’s Disturbia (watch it Here), nothing will send you into a deeper spiral of fear and paranoia than being trapped in close proximity to the neighborhood boogeyman- and what’s worse is… nobody believes you.

For good or ill, "Transformers" broke new ground in creating photorealistic computer-generated characters and, in turn, splicing them into live-action footage. It's hard to imagine "The Avengers" in a world where the Autobots and Decepticons don't battle it out in the so-called Mission City. However, working in uncharted waters always leads to challenges in conceptualization.
"Transformers" screenwriter Roberto Orci spoke to IGN after the movie's release. It was "very hard" for him and co-writer Alex Kurtzman to merge the human and robot stories. I can understand their caution; before writing any scenes with the robots, they probably had to consider if the animators would even be able to pull them off. Accordingly, the first draft didn't have many Transformers at all; producer Steven Spielberg pitched the story as "a boy and his car," so that's what Orci and Kurtzman initially wrote.

Actor Shia Labeouf has always been very candid about his feelings towards his Indiana Jones film. His experience on the sequel was so off-putting that the actor wanted to walk away from big-budget blockbuster projects completely.

Labeouf didn’t feel that the Indiana Jones film Kingdom of the Crystal Skull lived up to expectations. Although it did well at the box office, the Indiana Jones sequel experienced mixed reviews from critics. Labeouf was a part of the camp that believed the Spielberg-directed feature wasn’t exactly the franchise’s best effort. And he felt partially responsible.

Some people just have a different sense of time than others. You know that friend who is always late to every meetup? As it turns out, this friend has something in common with "Transformers" franchise director Michael Bay, according to a behind-the-scenes featurette about the 2009 film, "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen."
Many actors and crew who have worked with Bay on the "Transformers" movies have spoken about how he can be tough on set, and yet they keep coming back to work with him. In fact, in a 2016 IGN article, Josh Duhamel, who has been in a number of the films, spoke about how "80% of this crew was there from the beginning [the first film was released in 2007], from the very first movie. [...] People can say what they want about him, but these people love him. They hate him at times, but they also love him."

Spoilers for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. Indy (Harrison Ford) and Marion (Karen Allen) tied the knot at the end of Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull and were headed for wedded bliss. However, Marion doesn’t seem to be in the picture in The Dial of Destiny, but Karen Allen told Variety that that wasn’t always the case.

Actor Michael Douglas felt British stars were getting more cinema roles than their American counterparts. According to Douglas, social media and sexuality played a part in stagnating many American performers’ careers.

Spoiler Alert: This story discusses major plot developments, including the final scene, in “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny,” currently playing in theaters.
When Lucasfilm announced in 2016 that Steven Spielberg was making a fifth “Indiana Jones” movie with Harrison Ford, fans naturally wondered how much of a role Karen Allen’s Marion Ravenwood — Indy’s spitfire equal from 1981’s “Raiders of the Lost Ark” and the love of his life — would play in the new film. The last time audiences saw Marion, she was getting married to Indy at the end of 2008’s “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull,” after she revealed to Indy that they’d had a child together, who Indy meets as teenage greaser Mutt Williams (Shia Labeouf). So any follow-up movie would at the very least need to address the fact that Indy is married with a (grown) kid.

Exclusive: Shia Labeouf has joined action thriller Mace, directed by Jon Amiel from a script by David Chisholm. Trevor Jackson will co-star. Myriad Pictures is shopping the project to buyers here in Cannes this week.
Mace is the harrowing story of two very different types of cops – a veteran officer Mace (Labeouf), dangerous and corrupt, and Virgil Woods (Jackson), a young rookie who believes that he can change the system that fosters cops like Mace from within. It’s inspired by the recent racial injustice on the streets of America and Woods refuses to be bullied and pits his principles against the amoral Mac. Woods risks everything he believes to stop Mace from destroying the city when Mace unleashes a gang war to cover up his crimes. Everyone around Mace is in danger as Mace plays his game and tries to conceal his tracks, no matter the cost.

Much has been made in the past six months about the turmoil — whether real or imagined — on the set of director Olivia Wilde’s buzzy Don’t Worry Darling. There was the scuttlebutt around her relationship with co-star Harry Styles. There was the departure of original lead Shia Labeouf. And then there were rumors of friction between the director-actress and the film’s star, Florence Pugh. Those included a Vulture report about on-set “screaming match” between the two women, which was quickly denied in a statement signed by 40 members of the film’s crew and production team.
Wilde told Elle in an interview for the cover of the magazine this month that the media feeding frenzy has “brought my attention to the media and how it pits women against one another.”
The director continued, “It is shocking to see so many untruths about yourself traded as fact. Florence had a really...

A Warner Bros. rep on Friday denied a report that “Don’t Worry Darling” director Olivia Wilde and her star Florence Pugh got into a “screaming match” so contentious that then-studio head Toby Emmerich had to be called in to broker peace.
On Friday, Vulture reported that Wilde and Pugh became so heated during the movie’s production that Emmerich was “forced to play referee in a ‘long negotiation process'” to ensure that Pugh would participate in the movie’s press promotion and “not jeopardize the potential box office.” But an individual with knowledge of the production disputed the idea that Emmerich was contacted to intervene between the director and star of the thriller, which opens Friday with much behind-the-scenes sturm und drang.

At the time of writing, the internet at large is still arguing about whether Harry Styles spit on Chris Pine at the premiere of the pair’s beleaguered new thriller, Don’t Worry Darling. It’s only the latest juicy (but in this instance probably not that delicious) slice of drama from the film’s production and subsequent review-panning debut, which has included the kind of intriguing nonsense that expensive PR bods spend considerable time micromanaging on big budget projects so it never sees the light of day, but because Don’t Worry Darling has a much, much lower budget than, say, last year’s Eternals, which also (briefly) starred Styles, the wheels have basically completely come off now, with a new tidbit emerging from the cast and crew on average every few hours. On the flipside, Don’t Worry Darling really didn’t need any of that expensive PR,...

Continuing his prolific, run-and-gun style of filmmaking, we reported about a year ago that Abel Ferrara was following his pandemic thriller Zeros and Ones with a biopic of Italian saint Padre Pio. Starring none other than Shia Labeouf in casting that takes on a certain level of perverse meta context considering his recent abuse allegations, the film now looks to be completed and the first images have surfaced.
Ferrara, who explored Pio’s life in a 2015 documentary, Searching for Padre Pio, scripted the film with Maurizio Braucci (Martin Eden) and it will follow Padre Pio’s status as a symbol of hope for the Italian people during the country’s difficult inter-war period and exhibition of stigmata. “For Shia, he began to know Pio just as he was discovering his own Christianity. Sasha Lane always plays the rebel. “Somebody make me a f***ing fairy princess, please,” says the actor, sighing with exasperation. “I promise I won’t say f***.” She is the type of plucky young star you imagine can do anything but, until now, Lane has excelled at playing the daring renegade, whether it’s as a teenage runaway in American Honey, the dazzling coming-of-age film that made her name in 2016, as a spliff-smoking “bad kid” in The Miseducation of Cameron Post, or, this month, as a violent fugitive in Amazon Prime’s Utopia.
The 25-year-old puts these sorts of roles down to her 20 tattoos and her dreadlocks. “I’m immediately seen as dirty and dark,” she says, recalling when she attended the illustrious Met Gala event in 2018, wearing a white lace dress. “I had diamonds in my hair – diamonds,” she says, with faux indignation. “Somebody was like, ‘She's so grungy.
