Soulsborne games are very well known for being very difficult; in fact, they are so difficult that many gamers around the world demand that FromSoftware consider releasing them along with an easy mode. From Demon Souls to their latest game, Elden Ring, FromSoftware has continuously included very hard bosses in their titles. From characters that do massive Aoe attacks to those that fight players with small weapons, the variety is unmatched.
But amongst these bosses, there are some that are so hard that it becomes impossible for players to forget them. They take hours to defeat, and before that, they demolish players numerous times. But one character is such that players haven’t forgotten it to this day.

There has been a growing trend in recent times when fans have got to observe their favorite video game franchises getting turned into a live-action adapted movie or even a TV series.
The Uncharted movie or the recent The Last of Us series is a perfect example of the same, and to excite fans once again, Sony has been working to bring FromSoftware’s Bloodborne to the big screen since last year. However, recent leaks by a reputed insider, DanielRPK suggest how the production is headed towards making the same mistake the Assassin’s Creed film did nearly a decade ago.

Tatiana Maslany probably wishes she had anything in common with the She-Hulk in TV Insider’s exclusive sneak peek of her episode of Running Wild With Bear Grylls: The Challenge. She’s right with the first two — shivering and not shivering — but Grylls stops her when she gets to the third. Watch the full clip above to hear the rest of the stages then to find out what to do if you do spend time in freezing cold water. In her episode of the National Geographic series, the Orphan Black star takes a journey across Wyoming’s Laramie Mountains with Grylls. Maslany admits that...

This post contains major spoilers for "The Boy," "Brahams: The Boy II," and "Housebound."
M3GAN is the moment, and this weekend, it's her time to shine. If the online chatter about the killer A.I.'s dance moves weren't already an indicator of her oncoming success, the film speaks for itself with genuine suspense and loads of camp. She's rightfully earned herself a place among the best killer dolls in one swift move. With that in mind, it's fun to think of the showdowns that could take place between M3GAN and her cinematic figurine counterparts. From the roster of choices like Annabelle, Billy ("Dead Silence"), and Chucky, let's take a moment to consider how Brahms ("The Boy") would fare.
I'm pitting the two against one another because "M3GAN" director Gerard Johnstone is also responsible for the horror comedy "Housebound." In that film, it's revealed that the hauntings, including a...

Stars: Vera Farmiga, Peter Sarsgaard, Isabella Fuhrman, Cch Pounder, Jimmy Bennett, Margo Martindale, Karel Roden, Aryana Engineer, Rosemary Dunsmore, Genelle Williams | Written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick | Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra
Devastated by the loss of their unborn baby, Kate (Vera Farmiga) and John (Peter Sarsgaard) decide to adopt a child. At the orphanage, both feel drawn to a little girl (Isabelle Fuhrman) named Esther, and soon the couple take their new daughter home. But when a dangerous series of events unfolds, Kate begins to suspect that there is something evil lurking behind the child’s angelic exterior.
Although the horror genre is by far my favorite film genre nowadays, the same thing cannot be said for when I was young. As a matter of fact, I was scared to death of practically every horror movie. I remember still to this day, seeing some sort of Chucky parody on some...

From huggable dolls coming to life as voodoo-powered murderers to lovable St. Bernards becoming rabid monsters, there’s nothing more disturbing than the subversion of innocence. That’s why the horror genre is simply chock-full of creepy children. From ghostly apparitions to undead cannibals, these pint-sized horrors make great villains precisely because of their disarming demeanor. After all, like Narciso Ibáñez’s 1976 film once asked: Who Can Kill a Child?
Of course, not all killer kids are created equal, and after our previous article celebrating some of the best Final Kids in horror, we thought that it was time to give the juvenile villains a chance to shine with a list celebrating six of the best evil child performances in horror movies. After all, every evildoer has to start somewhere…

From the carefully considered outline of a Final Girl to the intoxicating nebulousness of the Scream Queen moniker, women are the bloody, brooding, beating heart of the horror genre.
On screen and off, women have long proved an essential linchpin to the success of scary movies. Actresses have served as horror’s marquee-topping centerpieces since even before Elsa Lanchester became Universal’s “Bride of Frankenstein” in 1935, and the subjects of many women’s fears — abuse, stalking, subjection, birth, motherhood, the patriarchy, etc. — have inspired the works of countless creepy classics directed by men: take Brian de Palma’s “Carrie” or Dario Argento’s “Suspiria,” just for starters.
And yet, it’s only been in the last few decades that women have more fully and frequently taken over telling their own nightmares: writing, directing, and producing contemporary masterpieces such as Mary Harron’s “American Psycho,” Karyn Kusama’s “Jennifer’s Body,” Julia Ducournau’s “Raw,...

If you've listened to our Corpse Club member-exclusive episode, then you know we're big fans of Junji Ito, the imaginative mind behind so many memorable manga creations, including Tomie, which is moving forward as an adaptation series on Quibi with Alexandre Aja directing, David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick writing, and Adeline Rudolph starring in the lead role.
A premiere date and release schedule for Tomie has yet to be announced, but we'll keep Daily Dead readers updated as more details are announced. In the meantime, we have additional info below, and in case you missed it, Aja discussed the Tomie series when we interviewed him last year for his new movie Crawl.
"Quibi gives the greenlight to ‘Tomie’ based on the hit horror manga series of the same name. Based on the cult hit manga series by Junji Ito, Tomie is the story of a beautiful high school girl (Adeline Rudolph) who...

The cast for DC's all-female crime fighting film, Birds of Prey, is finally complete. From the beginning, Margot Robbie was signed on to reprise her role as everyone's favorite harlequin, Harley Quinn. Then, Warner Bros. and DC looked to Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and Rosie Perez to play Black Canary, Huntress, and Renee Montoya, respectively. While we were waiting to find out who would play Cassandra Cain, the last member of the Birds of Prey, WB signed Ewan McGregor to play the villainous Black Mask in the Cathy Yan-directed film. Now, the final piece of the puzzle has been found and it isn't someone anyone expected to play the woman who becomes one of the deadliest crime fighters.

Earlier today, we reported on a brief trailer pertaining to Gotham season 5 that’d been circulating. Basically, it teased the next significant preview to come, with the last substantial one being screened at New York Comic Con back in October. And though what arrived tonight wasn’t nearly as long, it may have actually given us more to go on.
Seen at the top of this article, the latest promo is chock full of intriguing exhibits for us all to thoroughly examine. And like some of you, I’m captivated by anything involving Jeremiah Valeska.
In addition to this series’ not-Joker being joined by Ecco, his not-Harley Quinn, we’re rewarded by witnessing a maniacal laugh to call his own. I’d previously wondered if the prelude teaser used a Jerome soundbite, but it actually appears as though Jeremiah has let go of his calm, collected demeanor and embraced madness.
