Days of Our Lives predictions show Clyde Weston, brought to life by James Read, may face a deadly fate. Authorities are hot on his trail, including Harris Michaels and Ava Vitali, played by Steve Burton and Tamara Braun, respectively.
Meanwhile, Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) might hit rock bottom after the unexpected departure of Sloan Petersen. That leaves room for Kristen Dimera (Stacy Haiduk) to possibly uncover Ej Dimera’s (Dan Feuerriegel) secret on Days of our Lives.
Stefan Dimera, played by Brandon Barash, might convince Da Melinda Trask, portrayed by Tina Huang, to reopen the murder case of Li Shin. So this is hinting at a potential return of Remington Hoffman’s character. May are thrilled with the prospect of Hoffman on the screen again.
Lastly, Jada Hunter, portrayed by Elia Cantu, may rekindle her feelings for Everett Lynch, portrayed by Blake Berris, adding more complexity to the ever-twisting storylines.

Hoffman Family Gold Season 3 will mark the end of an era for the popular Discovery Channel series. That’s because it’s the last time three generations of the family are working together. The premiere, which airs June 14, sees the Hoffman men arrive in Alaska to mine the most promising claim they’ve ever had. It’s bittersweet however as Todd’s father, Jack, announces this would be his final season. The patriarch was on the first eight seasons of Gold Rush, as well as this spinoff. Adding to the pressure is winter fast approaching, meaning the Hoffman crew are under the gun to devise a plan to triple their output and mine 300 ounces before the ground freezes over. They view it as their legacy and livelihood is on the line. This all comes after an emotionally draining Season 2 for Todd Hoffman where the father-son relationship between him and Hunter...

One of the Assistant Costume Designers on the Martin Scorsese directed Killers of the Flower Moon is alleging that Apple Studios and the Costume Designers Guild worked hand in hand to erase her contribution to the multi-nominated Lily Gladstone, Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert DeNiro starring film.
“Throughout the multitude of award nominations for Kotfm, Apple teamed up with West and CDG to promote the film and its costume design,” says Kristi Marie Hoffman of the studio, the guild and costume designer Jacqueline West in her six-claim complaint filed in LA Superior Court today (read it here).
“Despite Hoffman being the primary Acd and completing most of the research and costume design for the film, the Defendants not only specifically excluded her involvement in its promotion but also completely ignored her work and instead represented to the public at large that the costume design work, her work, was the product of...

Apple Studios has been sued by a Native American costume designer on Killers of the Flower Moon for excluding her from awards consideration, allegedly in retaliation for raising complaints of discrimination.
Kristi Marie Hoffman, in a lawsuit filed Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, alleges she completed “most of the research and costume design for the film” but that her contributions were “completely ignored.”
Apple Studios didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
Killers of the Flower Moon was nominated for 10 Oscars, seven Golden Globe Awards and three SAG Awards while also being nominated by the Costume Designers Guild, which is named in the complaint, for excellence in a period film.
According to the complaint, Hoffman was discriminated against when her work on the production was discredited during the film’s promotion.

A Native American costume designer sued Apple on Wednesday, alleging that her contributions to “Killers of the Flower Moon” were overlooked during the studio’s awards campaign.
Kristi Marie Hoffman, who was credited as an assistant costume designer, also alleges that she was subject to racial discrimination on set.
Hoffman filed a discrimination complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, which resulted in a confidential settlement in December 2022. Subsequently, Hoffman alleges that the studio retaliated by denying her credit and accolades and “attempting to erase her contributions.”
Apple did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Hoffman sued Apple, the Costume Designers Guild, and Jacqueline West, the costume designer who hired her.
In the complaint, she states that she was brought on because West needed someone with the cultural competency to handle the project, and West also wanted to make sure that Native Americans were represented among the crew.

Eric releases on Netflix on May 30, 2024.
A six-episode limited series starring heavyweights Benedict Cumberbatch and Gaby Hoffmann will be available on Netflix at the end of May. Abi Morgan created and wrote the series. She is known for her incredible work on films like Shame and The Iron Lady and her Emmy-winning writing on The Hour. The series follows a set of parents who are struggling after their son is kidnapped on his way to school.
Set in New York, Eric replicates some of the incredible work of past crime-thrilling series from Netflix, such as Mindhunters, Griselda, and Ripley. The often dark tone of the series brings a nice twist with the introduction of Eric. Eric is a character that Vincent and Cassie’s son Edgar had drawn. The larger-than-life monster is brought to life after Edgar’s kidnapping, bringing a much-needed comedic aspect to the series.

Before digital tools allowed composers to simulate any instrument on a laptop, musical scores for TV were simple melodies performed by a handful of session musicians. The newer technology meant those musicians lost their jobs; so did the guy who transcribed the composer’s scores.
However: That doesn’t mean scores require fewer people, or became cheaper to produce.
Today, even the smallest TV shows employ full orchestras. Tech made things easier, but the cost to produce scores for film and TV has only increased. With greater possibilities, more advanced jobs replaced those that were lost.
That’s the analogy Matt Nix, showrunner for “Burn Notice” and the recent “True Lies,” used when describing the advent of artificial intelligence at the May 16 AI on the Lot summit at Los Angeles Center Studios. It's been 28 years since Jan De Bont's "Twister" ripped through theaters and whipped up a $496 million worldwide gross. In the meantime, it's become a weekend cable mainstay, where viewers can tune out its wafer-thin plot and simply enjoy the foul weather spectacle. It's far from a classic, but its visual prowess is undeniable, and its colorful cast of storm chasers led by Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt seem to be having a ball. Any film that includes Philip Seymour Hoffman, Alan Ruck, Jami Gertz, Todd Field, and Lois Smith is bound to be fun on some level.
So why has it taken so long for Universal to make a sequel to the second-highest-grossing film (domestically) of 1996?
"Twisters" didn't exactly have a stormy development process, but it did go through a couple of iterations over the last four years. Joseph Kosinski was attached to direct in early 2020. When that fell through,...

There is no denying that Robin Williams was one of the greatest entertainers to have graced the industry. His on-screen presence, improvisation skills, and comedic timing, all contributed to making him one of the best comedians of all time. Therefore, it isn’t surprising that the financiers behind the 1992 biographical drama, Chaplin, wanted to cast him in the lead role. After all, he was taking the comedy genre by storm, wasn’t he?
Robin Williams in Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian (2009)
As fate would have it, though, the role ended up going to Robert Downey Jr. who did an incredible job and did justice to the life and personality of Charlie Chaplin. Appreciated by many for his performance, Robert Downey Jr. ended up receiving his first Oscar nomination, all thanks to this very role.

One of the names he commented on also included the actor-filmmaker Dustin Hoffman, who infamously slapped his Kramer vs. Kramer co-star Meryl Streep and has also been accused of s*xual misconduct by many women.

“My mother was the one that I had almost the most trauma about, interestingly enough, because she was my primary caregiver and I was with her all of the time, so I felt unprotected at times,” he said.
While he said she was an “amazing mother,” he struggled with her busy work schedule and choices made in her personal life.
“She would be working. She had new boyfriends that I didn’t really like,” he explained, adding that she was just “living her life.”

The live-action movies based on comic book storylines or animated characters are either hugely successful or a massive disappointment as we have witnessed in the recent adaptations. It seems like we’re all set to witness another adaptation of a very popular cartoon character, as it was recently announced that Michael Caleo is allegedly working on a live-action adaptation of Popeye the Sailor Man.
Popeye the Sailor Man Popeye the Sailor Man is getting another live-action after 40 years
Popeye is one of the most popular cartoon characters the world has ever seen and many generations grew up watching the animated series based on the popular sailor man who gained superhuman strength by eating Spinach. The character even celebrated its 95th anniversary earlier this year as it was first released in the 1929 comic Thimble Theater.

The Avenue has landed North American rights to the action comedy “Old Guy,” starring Christoph Waltz, Lucy Liu and Cooper Hoffman.
Simon West directed the film, while “The Last Son” scribe Greg Johnson penned the script.
The film follows aging contract killer Danny Dolinski (Waltz), who still believes he’s the best at what he does. Stuck at a dead end but vying for the love of club manager Anata (Liu), Danny is thrilled when The Company pulls him back in the field — but it’s only to train Gen Z newcomer Wihlborg (Hoffman), a prodigy assassin with an attitude. The mismatched pair is asked to eliminate top members of a competing crime syndicate and, in the process, uncover their employer’s true motive: removing the old guard in a full takeover. However, The Company didn’t anticipate that Danny’s experience, coupled with Wihlbord’s brilliance, could enable them...

Jack Black and Kyle Gass took over the Kung Fu Panda 4 premiere to film an impromptu music video for Tenacious D’s cover of — wait for it — Britney Spears’ classic, “…Baby One More Time.”
In the clip, Black and Gass strut around the red carpet, doing dance moves and jump-kicking while belting along to the D’s hard rock take on the 1998 pop smash. Black also ropes in a bunch of his Kung Fu Panda 4 castmates, dancing with Awkwafina, karate-chopping Bryan Cranston, and taking a punch from Ke Huy Quan.

Since we’re nearly into Spring Break season for students, the studios are gearing up to release some sequels (usually a Summer staple). I suppose you could consider last weekend’s Dune: Part Two a sequel, though it’s really the conclusion of the original story. Ah, but this weekend’s big studio release is the latest entry in a “tentpole”, a franchise that’s now a teenager (sweet sixteen). Plus it’s an “all-ages” series with a”PG” rating that parents are always searching for (he’s been Mia at the multiplex for eight years now). It’s not from the “Mouse House”, but rather their biggest animation rival for a time. And this was the character they created that truly worked for me (I’m not a fan of the look of the big green ogre’s exploits). Watch out, and hold on to your snacks, as Master Po is back,...

(Updated with more results & Super Tuesday details) The Congressman from Hollywood is one big step closer to becoming the Golden State’s junior Senator, but saw up-close this Super Tuesday some of the visceral challenges Democrats face from their own base.
In the double header that is California’s primary this Super Tuesday, Adam Schiff secured the top spot with just under 40% of the vote in. NBC News and the Associated Press called it for Schiff just over 30 minutes after the polls closed in the nation’s most populous state.
Not that the night was all balloon drops and victory dances for the veteran Congressman.
Dozens of protesters chanting “ceasefire now” over the worsening situation in Gaza made it near impossible for Schiff to get though his speech to supporters at Avalon on LA’s Vine Street.
Adam Schiff’s entire victory speech tonite was interrupted by protesters chanting for a ceasefire in Gaza.

Barry Egan is not a particularly easygoing guy. The protagonist of Paul Thomas Anderson's 2002 film "Punch-Drunk Love" is socially awkward, highly anxious, and clearly has trouble regulating his emotions in a healthy way. When he calls a phone sex line, it's because he's lonely and just wants to connect with another person. But as played by Adam Sandler, who was exclusively known for his comedic work until then, Barry becomes someone the audience roots for. Since we have a history with Sandler as someone who has made us laugh, we're perhaps more endeared to this eccentric character than we might've been otherwise.
Anderson knew this -- he was dead set on casting Sandler in "Punch-Drunk Love" from the moment he came up with the concept -- and saw potential in Sandler that no other director had seen at that point. By hiring him to star in this small, bizarre romance,...

It isn’t every day that you hear that an A-lister does not even know about the details of their popular on-screen character. However, that is exactly what happened with Dustin Hoffman in the Kung Fu Panda movies when he lent his voice to the character of Master Shifu.
Dustin Hoffman | Source: Little Big Man Dustin Hoffman thought that Master Shifu was a raccoon
Kung Fu Panda is one of the most popular animated franchises on the planet and it is so for excellent reasons. The series has incredible characters, amazing voice actors, and a completely non-ambiguous plot. In each movie, we saw the character development of Po, aka the Dragon Warrior, to a higher level than he was in the previous movie.

American actor Philip Seymour Hoffman was one of the greatest actors of his generation. Hoffman played several iconic characters on stage, film, and television, as a leading man or in supporting roles. Although he had a reputation for playing misfit and creepy characters, few actors could fully inhabit any role as he did. Philip Seymour Hoffman’s acting versatility was known to all and sundry. Although he didn’t fully get the accolades he deserved, his performances have continued to leave audiences in awe, irrespective of generation. In what feels like yesterday, February 2024 marked a decade since the death of Philip...

As Denis Villeneuve prepares to release the hotly anticipated conclusion to his Dune saga, Dune: Part Two, fans still lament one tragic loss that deprived the sci-fi sequel of a potentially legendary performance: Philip Seymour Hoffman as the devious face-dancer Scytale.
Hoffman, widely considered one of the greatest actors of his generation thanks to raw, Oscar-winning performances, died suddenly in 2014 from a drug overdose at age 46. In the years since, fans have continued mourning both the man and the incredible actor, including his absence from potential future roles like the cunning Dune shapeshifter Scytale or perhaps even Baron Vladimir Harkonnen.

The USA Network drama Suits became a streaming hit last summer after Netflix acquired the first eight seasons. With billions of minutes streamed, it’s no surprise that NBCUniversal would be eager to return to this world that so many people have grown to love. Whispers of a spinoff have been in the air since the show started gaining popularity, but now it’s official – Suits is coming back.

It shook me up in a lot of ways, as I had just seen him at the Sundance Film Festival a few weeks earlier, where he had two films, A Most Wanted Man and God’s Pocket. In hindsight, it’s easy to say he didn’t look quite right, but honestly, I had no clue anything was wrong with him. Of course, in the days following his death, we learned that addiction had taken its toll on perhaps the most outstanding actor of his generation,...
