After weeks of controversy over who would — and more frequently who would not — perform at now-President Donald Trump‘s inauguration, two acts have officially fulfilled their duties.
The first was the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, clad in plaid scarves, who performed a rendition of “America the Beautiful” in between Vice President Mike Pence and Trump’s oaths of office.
Closing out the swearing-in ceremony was Jackie Evancho, a 16-year-old singer and America’s Got Talent star, who sang “The Star-Spangled Banner” on the Capitol steps. Though she appeared nervous, she sang the national anthem accompanied by the United States Marine Band...

Donald Trump is a man of the people who just happens to live in a golden tower in Manhattan, and as a man of the people, he has an innate distrust for all celebrities. That’s why he probably only cried a little bit when virtually every famous person turned down an offer to attend or perform at his inauguration, leaving him with nothing but begrudging support from the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and The Rockettes. Apparently, though, a lot of famous people had a good reason for why they can’t make it to Trump’s inauguration on January 20: They’ll be too busy protesting against him that weekend.
At least two star-studded anti-Trump and anti-gop events are happening on the days before and after the inauguration, and just to kick a little bit of extra salt in the wound, they’ll actually be held in the Washington D...

There are always plenty of Christmas-music roundups this time of year. This one's different. The others usually focus on the newest offerings. Nothing I've gotten this year has really struck a chord, but there is no shortage of favorites from years past that have proven their merits and held up over time. It is those in the classical realm, where trends matter least; and choral, because it's sacred choir music that's at the heart of the celebration of Christmas, that are listed below.

Roughly 30 different YouTubers teamed up with multi-faith organization Radiant Foundation to create the largest living nativity scene in the world. The nativity volunteers gathered on December 1, 2014, at Rock Canyon Park in Provo, Utah to film the Biblical reenactment of angels, wise men, and other visitors coming to see the baby Jesus. Over 1000 people showed up to help with the production, ensuring it beat the last Guinness Book World Record of only 898 people involved in a live nativity. YouTube musicians such as The Piano Guys and Peter Hollens joined David Archuleta and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir to create a music video surrounding the day’s events. The annual deluge of Christmas music is in the air -- literally -- in department stores, markets, elevators, ring tones and voicemails. This is all well and good for some folks. But as you navigate the mall -- surrounded by songs you've heard a thousand times before -- have you started to feel that all you want for Christmas is to avoid Mariah Carey's All I Want for Christmas? When you get home, do you want to steamroll your neighbor's Mannheim Steamroller discs, or excommunicate the in-laws' Mormon Tabernacle Choir collection? And be honest -- as you try to fall asleep, do you think about how badly you want to forever silence Kenny G's Silent Night? Then the fireballs begin to drop. 50 seconds: There's an image of St.

Tonight, Donny Osmond is on "The Insider" stage with our own Lara Spencer as we go exclusively behind the scenes with Marie and the rest of the Osmond clan for their final public performance all together -- with a rare look backstage at what goes on before the show! "The Insider" was the only TV show to get unprecedented access backstage at the Mormon Conference Center in Salt Lake City for the Osmond's last concert as a family -- an end to an amazing legacy. "How do you put into words 50 years of experience? You can't do it," says Donny. After five decades of performances, the Osmonds decided that they would not perform again as a complete group. With tears flowing, they performed their final concert with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir -- the first time that the choir has allowed cameras backstage. "If you look right behind me, you'll see...
