Welcome back to Dead Time. Like me, you may watch a lot of paranormal television shows, but you’ve never seen anything quite like Living for the Dead, which is streaming on Hulu. From the creators of Queer Eye and Executive Producer Kristen Stewart, Living for the Dead features a team of five Queer ghost hunters, or “ghost hunties” as they refer to themselves, each with unique paranormal abilities and backgrounds, and a whole lot of heart.
The team travels the country in an Rv and consists of investigator Alexandré LeMay, spiritual healer Juju Bae, medium and tarot reader Ken Boggle, podcaster and researcher Roz Hernandez, and psychic medium Logan Taylor. Kristen Stewart narrates each episode as the team investigates infamous haunted locations like The Clown Motel in Nevada, Waverly Hills Sanatorium in Kentucky, and The Copper Queen Hotel in Arizona. Each investigation delves into the history of the location...

“Queer Eye” has its “Fab Five” and the crew of Hulu’s “Living for the Dead” ghost-hunting show have nicknamed themselves the “Spooky Bitches,” co-executive producer Rena Lombardo of Scout Productions told TheWrap ahead of Wednesday’s series premiere.
The paranormal show is from executive producer Kristen Stewart, who brought the idea for the series to Scout with her friend C.J. Romero, who also serves as an e.p.
Described as a sort of “gay Scooby-Doo,” it was a natural fit for Scout Productions, whose shows include Netflix’s “Queer Eye” and HBO series “Legendary.” In each episode, the cast visits notoriously haunted locations around the country and commune with both the the dead and the people whose lives have been disrupted by the ghostly happenings.
Assembling the team of experts once the show was picked up was a “magical” process for Lombardo. The five-member team is comprised of tarot card reader Ken Boggle,...

From the creators of Queer Eye comes Living for the Dead, a new ghost hunter docuseries that sees five queer people with a connection to the paranormal trekking to haunted locations to heal the beings who occupy them — dead or alive. As a paranormal researcher and former clown, Roz Hernandez gleefully declares to TV Insider, “We’re the Freaky Five!” Kristen Stewart narrates and executive produces the series, premiering all eight episodes on Wednesday, October 18, on Hulu. Joining Hernandez in the Freaky Five are psychic Logan Taylor, tarot card reader Ken Boggle, witch and spiritual healer Juju Bae, and ghost hunter Alex LeMay. Queerness and the supernatural seem to go hand-in-hand. Boggle says “open minds” and “a need to be understood” is why. “The majority of what you have in the spirit world is that there is a need to be understood,” Boggle tells TV Insider. “You could have a [dead] grandmother who loves her family,...

Hulu’s Living for the Dead introduces viewers to “Fabulous 5” queer “ghost hunties” who travel the country to “help the living by healing the dead.” It’s like Queer Eye goes ghost-hunting!
From the producer of Queer Eye, the series approaches ghost hunting the same way it meets a good makeover – with plenty of love and lots of laughs. But unlike Queer Eye, this show’s jump scares aren’t from a hideous jumpsuit. Instead, the paranormal definitely comes to play in each of the episodes.
‘Living for the Dead’ ghost hunts with a different perspective
Living for the Dead executive producer, Rob Eric explained to Showbiz Cheat Sheet how his team of ghost hunters determined which “haunts” to investigate.
“At first, we thought, let’s go to places nobody else has been before,” he said. “But because our team is so unique and we come at it in a different perspective,...

Hulu dropped the first trailer for the Kirsten Stewart-produced reality series “Living for the Dead” on Tuesday.
The show, from Scout Productions, the company behind “Queer Eye,” is being billed as a “Gay Scooby-Doo.” It assembles a team that includes a tarot card reader, a psychic and a witch, who travel the country in a camper van — and, of course, fabulous outfits.
The “Spencer” actress narrates and executive produces the series, which features queer ghost hunters Alex Le May (the tech expert), Juju Bae (the resident witch), Ken Boggle (the tarot card reader), Logan Taylor (the psychic) and Roz Hernandez (the paranormal researcher).
As Juju says in the trailer while placing candles around the table, “This is a pretty simple séance,” as Roz chimes in, “More like a gay-ance.”
We get glimpses of creepy antique dolls in a baby carriage, dark tunnels and the truly unnerving Clown Motel in Topanah,...

The trailer for Hulu’s new gay ghost hunting series Living for the Dead asks, “Why be normal when you can be paranormal?” Kristen Stewart serves as narrator and executive producer of the eight-episode docuseries premiering on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 on Hulu.
“It’s so cool and enlivening that me and my best friend Cj Romero had this funny idea and now it’s a show. It started as a bit of a hypothetical silly pipe dream, and now I am so proud to have shepherded something that is as moving and meaningful as it is truly a gay old time. Our cast makes me laugh and cry and they had the courage and heart to take us places I wouldn’t go by myself. And it’s a super cool maiden voyage for the company I’ve started with my partners Dylan Meyer and Maggie McLean. This is just the...
