After being review-bombed by fans, Helldivers 2 is giving them the treatment they deserve. The game has become a fan favorite since its launch for its high-octane and cinematic gameplay. Sony’s decision to remove the game from Psn-unsupported regions barred many from playing the game.
Recently, it became PlayStation’s fastest-selling game, with 12 million copies sold in the first three months. The record was previously held by God of War: Ragnarök, which sold 11 million copies. Undoubtedly, Steam had a major role to play in pushing sales to this extent and the company is reportedly working on getting the game back in several regions.

Helldivers 2 has been through a lot and so have the developers at Arrowhead Game Studios. It is undeniable that the team has been taking all the controversies and hate like a champ, but it is often overlooked that they are human beings too, and are not invincible.
The manpower of the studio is spread too thin and back-to-back issues within the game and on the business front have put them in a messy situation. If this persists, the quality of the live-service game will decline significantly and their stress will have an impact on how they work.

Helldivers 2 is still not out of the woods, not while the video game is still unavailable in the 177 countries that are out of PlayStation Network coverage. Director and Arrowhead Game Studios CEO Johan Pilestedt promises to undo the damage and reinstate the game.

A couple of days ago, it was very difficult for Helldivers 2, when the whole community took a stand against Sony, making it mandatory to link the PlayStation Network with Steam to play the game. This resulted in review-bombing, refunds, and all kinds of negativity towards the game.
Spitz, a community manager on Discord, played a crucial role in solving this issue. This Cm encouraged users to review-bomb the title to draw attention to the issue. After the entire situation settled, Spitz was fired, and now the players have made a petition to bring this employee back to Arrowhead.

Helldivers 2 has seen some better days since the recent controversial mandate from Sony to link Steam and Psn accounts. Fortunately, the situation was resolved peacefully but some members of the gaming community wish to see Johan Pilestedt be more aggressive with his subordinates.
Some staff members within Arrowhead Game Studios are becoming condescending to the player base which is not ideal. Pilestedt was asked about this issue and while he does acknowledge the criticism, he fails to see the relevance of the question to his post regarding other topics.

The director is known to be quite vocal and active on social media and takes his time to interact with the community directly. Pilestedt was quite upset about the recent closures of several Microsoft first-party game developers like Tango Gameworks.

Helldivers 2 was caught in a web of controversy after Sony mandated players on PC to link their Steam accounts with PlayStation Network. The player base was unhappy and redirected the hate to the developers and the community manager, Spitz, snapped.

The Helldivers 2 drama is over, and balance has been restored, kind of. At least, Sony has announced that it’ll be rescinding its unpopular decision to force players to link their Steam accounts to Psn IDs.
The game’s Steam page is still filled with a ton of negative reviews, but it’s that and the widespread unrest and pushback on social media that caused Sony to back off from this mandatory requirement. And, at the end of this drama, Arrowhead’s CEO, Johan Pilestedt, has something to tell players.

Following the PlayStation X/Twitter account’s official announcement that the requirement change would not be going forward, Pilested immediately took the opportunity to announce it to the community.

Arrowhead’s beloved co-op shooter, Helldivers 2, is experiencing its first round of negative press, that too very overwhelming. The studio recently announced that PC players will have to link a Psn account to continue playing the game after May 6.
Hundreds of thousands of players were blindsided at the sudden change, which was optional at the game’s launch. Concerns about data security and regions without Psn access are being brought up, and Arrowhead has been taking the brunt of the blame, even though it’s not their decision.
Arrowhead’s Hand Was Potentially Forced By Their Publisher
Arrowhead officials have named publisher Sony as the reason behind the controversial decision.
The studio’s community manager, Spitz, revealed in Helldivers 2‘s official Discord channel that the mandate has been enforced by the game’s publisher, Sony. It was intended to be there since launch, but technical issues delayed the account linking requirement.

Helldivers 2 has been in the news lately for the worst possible reasons. The popular third-person co-op shooter launched in February with a bang and maintained a steadily high ranking among the most-played games on Steam. In fact, it’s also the best-selling game of the year so far.
Everything eventually comes to an end, though, and the mountain of goodwill developer Arrowhead built up with the game has been quickly eroding over the past 48 hours, after it was announced that linking a Psn account will be mandatory to play the game after May 6. The Helldivers 2 community is currently in shambles, and Arrowhead Game Studios is running damage control to the best of its abilities. Sony’s controversial decision to make linking Steam accounts and Psn accounts mandatory has led to not only massive backlash but also some unforeseen circumstances.
The issue is that the linking of the accounts is mandatory if people want to play the game. This means not only having a Psn account but also having the service in your country. PlayStation Network is not a global service, and now players in countries where it is absent are up a certain creek with no paddle.

Helldivers 2 has faced some backlash and controversy in the past, but the most recent one may be its worst yet. The game launched with great reviews, and the fan base supported the title in every way possible. That sentiment has endured for a long time, but PlayStation is working to ruin it.
While people are quick to blame the developers for most, if not all, of the issues with the game, the vitriol being spewed against the team is unwarranted. After all, this is not something Arrowhead Game Studios wanted for its title, and it is doing its best to put out the fires.

Over the years, online play has become not only more complex but far more monetized. Whether it’s console-specific subscription services or one required for a specific game, playing online is rarely free these days.

Arrowhead Game Studios released an extensive balance patch for co-op shooter Helldivers 2, bringing several changes, improvements, and fixes. The update nerfed weapons, tweaked game-level regeneration, reduced much-needed headshot damage, and much more.
While the community has appreciated the developer for this major patch, one particular change with the patrol spawn has not sat well with the players and has drawn controversy. Fans have criticized the developer for making the game harder for solo players and killing the fun for them.

Helldivers 2 community has been fighting hard on the battlefield to stop the Terminid and Automaton forces from taking over. Now, they have been provided with two options: Liberate either Choohe or Penta, and depending on the outcome, players will get either the MD-17 Anti-Tank Mines or the Rl-77 Airburst Rocket Launcher. During this Major Order, an X post from Helldivers’ official page gave players a piece of advice if they feel like they are outnumbered. Naturally, players would want to liberate both Choohe and Penta but recently, they learned the hard way that they can’t save everyone.

Major Orders in Helldivers 2 have become a regular thing, with developers Arrowhead Studios making sure to keep the players engaged. They also have interesting rewards for players who complete them. The rewards won by completing Major orders can come in handy when players wish to buy more armor, Stratagems, or Ship upgrades.

Since its launch, Helldivers 2 has been increasing and maintaining its concurrent player count at a stable rate. People are eager to jump into the fray against Terminids and Automatons in a bid to expand Super Earth’s dominion in the cosmos. However, that doesn’t mean the game is a perfect experience.

Glitches and bugs are common for most games, especially when it comes to live-service multiplayer titles. While the developers at Arrowhead are committed to fixing issues that crop up, the endeavor may result in some broken promises.

Things have been pretty rough for Helldivers 2 gamers in the past few days. After weeks of struggling with Automatons on the Malevelon Creek, gamers recently managed to liberate the planet. However, the Automaton faction came back with a greater firepower. Nonetheless, players did manage to hold them off.

Helldivers have been trying to free the universe from these robots. However, there are three more planets that are still under Automaton’s control. Just like the previous time, players gathered once again over the weekend to completely wipe the Automatons.
Major Order in Helldivers 2 to wipe off Automatons
The developers of Arrowhead Studios released a Major Order calling all Helldivers to assemble and fight the Automatons. The new Major Order demanded democracy be returned to the steamy, perpetually twilight jungle world. The devs issued an in-game dispatch that read,
“All Helldivers are ordered to make an all-out push to completely destroy the Automaton Legion.

Grasshopper Films has acquired U.S. distribution rights to “The 50,” a documentary from Brenton Gieser centered on some of the nation’s first incarcerated substance abuse counselors.
The film will be released on VOD on April 9, tied to a series of special screenings in Los Angeles, Sacramento and San Francisco. Additional markets will follow as part of Second Chance Month. Following its world premiere at Doc NYC, the film has played at Santa Barbara, Miami, Cleveland and Big Sky Film Festivals.
“Grasshopper is extremely pleased to add ‘The 50’ to our catalog. It was a natural fit. A subject that is both specific, yet universal, we’ll be discussing this documentary long after its release. We look forward to working with Brenton, whose passion for this important subject is palpable, and we’re excited to connect the film with audiences around the country,” Lily Spitz, director of non-theatrical and digital distribution,...

Days after Paramount’s Bob Marley: One Love overperformed in its opening weekend at the box office, Sony Pictures chief Tom Rothman stole a bit of the spotlight Feb. 20 in unveiling not one but four intersecting feature films from Sam Mendes about The Beatles, each focusing on one member of the Fab Four: John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr.
“You have to match the boldness of the idea with a bold release strategy,” Rothman tells The Hollywood Reporter about the project that earned the Oscar-winning director a coveted signoff from the group’s selective label Apple Corps. “There hasn’t been an enterprise like this before, and you can’t think about it in traditional releasing terms.”
Sony hopes the films, which don’t yet have writers on board, will begin shooting in the U.K. in mid-2025 to make the planned 2027 release for all four titles,...

You’d be hard-pressed to find many musicians who wouldn’t trade places with Paul McCartney. Decades of fame and dozens of hit songs pushed his net worth over $1 billion. Still, Paul was jealous of The Rolling Stones — specifically their differing wardrobes — even though The Beatles were the most popular band in England.

The Beatles striding across a zebra-striped pedestrian crossing for the Abbey Road cover is one of the most recognizable music photos ever. Paul, John Lennon, Ringo Starr, and George Harrison wore different outfits that foreshadowed the individual paths they took when the band broke up after that 1969 album.
But it wasn’t always that way.
