Natasha O'Dell Archer, J.D. - Biography
Natasha has dedicated the last twenty years of her professional career towards advocating for at-risk youth across the world. Prior to her appointment as National Director, Natasha served as the Membership Director of Fight Crime: Invest in Kids. Previously, Natasha spent the better part of a decade in media/public relations, serving as a Television Producer, Field Producer and Special Events Television Production Manager for Black Entertainment Television, and also working for the Montel Williams Show. As a communications professional, Natasha helped launch a top-rated live daily show, produced reality shows, awards shows, a late-night political talk show, and won a TV Guide Positively Outstanding Programming Television award for her production of a Youth Aids Awareness and Prevention broadcast. Natasha has championed the empowerment of young women in academics and the arts, and previously served as a preliminary judge for the NBC Universal/Miss Universe Organization Miss USA and Miss Teen USA competitions. As a current member of the Producers Guild of America, Natasha spearheads video production for Fight Crime: Invest in Kids.
Additionally, the award-winning Producer served as a Consultant and motivational youth speaker for Educational Talent Search (ETS) through the College of Southern Maryland from 1995-2012. Under ETS, she facilitated programming for at-risk youth to keep them in school and away from crime.
Living overseas in her early years, Natasha developed her passion for enriching children's lives by creating youth development activities for kids attending Department of Defense Dependent Schools in Japan and Germany. Natasha received a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies with honors from New York University where she was an Honor's Scholar, and received the President's Service Award for Community Service and Volunteerism, and a law degree from the University of Miami School of Law, where she conducted research on crime and received the Dean's award for outstanding performance in social justice lawyering. Natasha currently leads the efforts of the Diversity, Inclusion and Leadership Initiative of the Council For A Strong America, the FCIK umbrella non-profit.
