Young Sheldon is one of the best and most beloved family sitcoms out there. The CBS series started as a spin-off of the hit sitcom series The Big Bang Theory and follows the early life of one of the main characters of the original series. There have been many sitcoms about precocious kids but none of them are similar to Young Sheldon. Young Sheldon recently concluded its Season 6 and while you wait for Season 7 here are some similar shows that you should check out next.

Synopsis: Leonard and Sheldon are brilliant physicists, the kind of “beautiful minds” that understand how the universe works. But none of that genius helps them interact with people, especially women. All this begins to change when a free-spirited beauty named Penny moves in next door. Sheldon, Leonard’s roommate, is quite content spending his nights playing Klingon Boggle with their socially dysfunctional friends,...

Aside from taking inspiration from its predecessor, “How I Met Your Father” creators Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger drew from their own experience navigating adulthood in a messy yet endearing way for the show’s sophomore season — including being locked in the stairwell of a New York skyscraper on the first day of a new job.
“This whole series is very much based on that chapter of our lives where we were living in New York and hanging out with your friends all the time, and your friends are your second family,” Berger told TheWrap of the duo’s time in the East Village while attending New York University. “We are just constantly looking back at that time and channeling those feelings: when you’re still trying to meet your person and it feels like the end of the world if you haven’t met them yet, and you’re...

The question that every How I Met Your Father fan wants the answer to is — who is the father? Unfortunately, it will be a long time before we know his identity, but in the meantime, it’s fun to speculate about the show’s endgame. And perhaps the answer will change over time since Hilary Duff, who plays Sophie, claims that she doesn’t know who the father is in How I Met Your Father.

The Middle, upon its 2009 debut, was as relatable as any television show can be, due to its representation of a regular middle-class family. Whether Frankie Heck ( Patricia Heaton) was going to Brick’s ( Atticus Shaffer) school when she was mid-work, Sue Heck ( Eden Sher) was trying to be more visible at school, or Brick was living in his tiny little world, the struggling family from Jasper, Indiana, made good television, enough to secure a solid nine-season run. Upon its farewell leg, Heaton said of their time at the show: “ We are together all the time. We

After landing her first role almost three decades ago, Kaley Cuoco has finally earned her first Golden Globe nominations for playing the titular character on HBO Max’s “The Flight Attendant” as well as for serving as an executive producer on the series. While it is her first nomination at the Globes, she has gotten recognition from other major organizations in the past. Most notable of those were two bids for Comedy Supporting Actress at the Critics Choice TV Awards for “The Big Bang Theory,” where she tied with Eden Sher (“The Middle”) for the win in 2013.
Cuoco finds herself taking on four other leading ladies in Best TV Comedy Actress who are all also looking for their first win at the Globes: Lily Collins (“Emily in Paris”), Elle Fanning (“The Great”), Jane Levy (“Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist”) and Catherine O’Hara (“Schitt’s Creek”). ABC has passed on moving forward with the proposed spinoff of family comedy “The Middle” revolving around Eden Sher’s Sue Heck character.
ABC shot a pilot and had been developing “Sue in the City” as a potential followup to Warner Bros. TV’s “The Middle,” which wrapped its nine-season run earlier this year. The spinoff was penned by “Middle” creators DeAnne Heline and Eileen Heisler.
ABC confirmed the decision Wednesday afternoon.
The decision comes as ABC and other networks are poised to make a slew of development decisions for the 2019-20 development cycle. ABC has opted not to pick up to series its Sue Heck-centered spinoff from hit family comedy The Middle. I hear the project may be shopped by producing studio Warner Bros. TV.

Although ABC's The Middle recently ended after an admirable nine-season run - the now-canceled Roseanne reboot took away its Tuesday night time slot - it seems Sue Heck is finally getting her due. Similarly to how Black-ish spawned a spinoff about eldest daughter Zoey Johnson (Yara Shahidi) in Grown-ish, The Middle has given way to a spinoff that will follow Sue, played by Eden Sher.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the series will focus on "the 20-something adventures of eternal optimist Sue Heck as she leaves the small town of Orson to navigate the ups and downs of a career and young adulthood in Chicago." The last season of The Middle, which ended on May 22, was the perfect showcase for the character, who we got to see deal with romantic relationships while finishing her final year of college.

Small-town girl Sue Heck is headed to the big city. ABC on Monday officially confirmed what we reported back in July: It has ordered a Middle spinoff centered on Eden Sher‘s adorkable alter ego.
In conjunction with the announcement, the network also revealed that the potential series will find Sue Heck leaving Indiana to pursue a career — and young adulthood — in Chicago. Middle creators Eileen Heisler and DeAnn Heline are penning the pilot script and will serve as EPs.
At San Diego Comic-Con last month, Sher told TVLine that a pilot order had been (informally) placed for the still-untitled project.
