The upcoming ‘Fantastic Four’ reboot has generated significant buzz as one of the most anticipated projects currently in development. This film aims to revitalize the previously lackluster ‘Fantastic Four’ franchise, which received mixed reviews in its earlier iterations.
However, the timing of the movie’s release is somewhat precarious. Marvel Studios faces scrutiny due to a series of underwhelming projects in recent years, leading to waning fan interest. Unfortunately, this trend has also resulted in Disney setting unflattering records as the biggest box-office loser of 2023.
Paul Walter Hauser, who has been cast in an undisclosed role for the upcoming Fantastic Four movie, recently shared his thoughts on the film’s development. He admitted that the past adaptations of Marvel’s First Family gave him pause before signing on. However, Hauser expressed confidence in the team assembled for this new iteration. Marvel’s The Fantastic Four has had a difficult time being adapted to say the least. First came a 1994 attempt which was only made so the rights could be held and can only be found on bootleg copies. Then came 2005’s Fantastic Four and its 2007 sequel, Rise of the Silver Surfer, with Fantastic Four arriving nearly a decade later. As it stands, these three have a combined Rotten Tomatoes score of 75%! So, yes, we’re still very hesitant to get our hopes up about next year’s go. And before Paul Walter Hauser was cast, he was just as nervous.
Hauser, whose role in The Fantastic Four has yet to be unveiled, almost turned down a chance to be in the Marvel Cinematic Universe solely because of the history of the property on the big screen. “Don’t think that didn’t weigh in as I was deciding whether or not to take the job.

Have you ever wondered what it takes to forge unbreakable loyalty on the sweeping landscapes of the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch? The answer lies within a searing moment of commitment forever etched into the skin of the ranch’s most dedicated wranglers: the ‘Y’ brand. Yellowstone’s branding campaign involves pressing a real branding iron, shaped like the Dutton Ranch logo, into the skin of a dedicated ranch hand by heating it over a flame.
This momentous occasion serves as a sharp reminder of just how difficult life can be on the Yellowstone Ranch. Can you imagine what the Duttons do to their enemies if that is how they handle their friends?

But in one particular episode, the show’s creator, Taylor Sheridan, went above and beyond by showing the viewers how Jimmy Hurdstram—portrayed by the exceptional Jefferson White—came to be known.

Marvel's First Family hasn't had much luck on screen. There was the infamous 1994 Fantastic Four movie produced by the late Roger Corman which never officially saw the light of day and then the big budget 2005 and 2007 movies starring Chris Evans, Jessica Alba, Ioan Gruffudd and Michael Chiklis.
Those weren't great and were a product of their time; so, when a reboot from Chronicle director Josh Trank rolled around in 2015, there was a fair bit of excitement among fans.
The trailers promised a body-horror tale but studio-mandated reshoots turned it into a mess.
The team has sat on the shelf ever since, though that will finally change next year with Marvel Studios' The Fantastic Four. Filmmaker Matt Shakman has assembled an impressive A-List cast, including Black Bird and Cruella star Paul Walter Hauser.
Talking to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor admitted that those awful past efforts made him think twice about starring in this latest reboot.

Yellowstone has been one of the most significant television shows over the recent few years. It boasts a magnificent cast and a much-celebrated universe centering around the Dutton Ranch.
Besides the worldwide popularity of the show for its content, Yellowstone has also witnessed several off-screen dramas that include legal battles. The show faced a prominent legal battle when creator Taylor Sheridan filed a lawsuit against actor Cole Hauser’s coffee company.

It was not lost on Paul Walter Hauser that previous film representations of the Fantastic Four did not exactly set the world on fire.
During a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, the in-demand actor reveals that those poorly received movie adaptations of Marvel’s superhero team made him give some extra thought before joining director Matt Shakman’s Disney film that is set to hit theaters July 25, 2025. Hauser, who recently earned an Emmy for his role in Black Bird, will play a not-yet-disclosed role in the project that features Pedro Pascal (Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby (Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn (Human Torch) and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Thing).
“Don’t think that didn’t weigh in as I was deciding whether or not to take the job,” Hauser says of the property’s checkered Hollywood past. “That movie has not fully been nailed just yet.”

Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone is coming to an end with the second part of the final season, currently in production. While a spinoff series is in the slate from the same creator, neither Sheridan nor Paramount has said anything definitive about the series. According to a recent report, three major Yellowstone stars would return to the spinoff series with a record salary.

It was reported that Cole Hauser, Kelly Reilly, and Luke Grimes would return in the spinoff. Earlier reports suggested that the spinoff is eyeing top actors like Matthew McConaughey and Michelle Pfeiffer, who are pricier than the three aforementioned Yellowstone stars.
However, it is unlikely that these stars would beat the record salaries of Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon in The Morning Show.

The sixth and final season of the Paramount Network series Yellowstone is currently in production, aiming for a November 2024 premiere – but the franchise is going to end with the series finale of the flagship show. There have already been reports about a sequel series that may end up starring Matthew McConaughey and Michelle Pfeiffer, alongside returning Yellowstone cast members. Apparently Paramount had a bumpy time getting those returning cast members on board – a couple months ago, it was reported that they were holding out for bigger paydays – but it looks like the deals have been signed now. According to Puck, Cole Hauser, Kelly Reilly, and Luke Grimes are officially on board to reprise the roles of Rip, Beth, and Kayce on the Yellowstone sequel series.

Paul Walter Hauser has been on a tear as of late, landing roles for Marvel and in the upcoming Naked Gun movie. When the news first broke that Chris Farley would be the subject of an upcoming biopic, some of those closest to the late SNL star expressed concern, but the film’s lead says he’s determined to do right by them.
Paul Walter Hauser, who had previously tried to get his own Farley biopic made, spoke with The Wrap about what compelled him to take the role, and why he feels Farley’s legacy is in good hands.
“I just thought that if they were to make a movie about him, I would want to be the one to do it, because I love him so much,” Hauser said, “and I know that I would honor him rather than tell some sort of dark sob story. And that’s really what we intend to do.”
Hauser went on to draw a comparison to his breakout role as the title character in Richard Jewell.

Cruella and Richard Jewell star Paul Walter Hauser is one of the most exciting additions to The Fantastic Four, but as we write this, there's still no word on who he's playing.
Mole Man is the most popular suggestion among comic book fans, though it's just as easy to imagine him voicing H.E.R.B.I.E., for example. Marvel's First Family has many allies and enemies on the page so Hauser could ultimately be portraying any number of characters in the upcoming reboot.
Talking to Screen Rant, Hauser broke his silence on joining The Fantastic Four and confirmed he's playing someone from the comics.

It’s official. Galactus is coming to the MCU.
After months of speculation, Marvel officially announced that they’ve found their Galactus. Ralph Ineson, a Game of Thrones veteran known for standout supporting roles in The Witch and The Green Knight, will portray the Devourer of Worlds. Ineson’s casting comes on the heels of other compelling announcements for its upcoming film The Fantastic Four, including Paul Walter Hauser and John Malkovich. Marvel hasn’t yet disclosed which characters those two are playing, but the smart money has Hauser down for the Mole Man. Malkovich could fit a number of characters, including minor baddies Puppet Master or Diablo, including just a grouchy official. Heck, maybe he’ll finally get to play a version of the Vulture, as he was slated to do in Sam Raimi’s abandoned Spider-Man 4!
While any of those baddies would be fun, the Galactus casting deserves the most attention.

After years of rumors and speculation, Liam Neeson’s Naked Gun reboot looks like it is finally heading into production. Set to be directed by The Lonely Island’s Akiva Schaffer, and written by Dan Gregor and Doug Man, fans expect a lot from this reboot. While many have tried (and failed) to update the franchise, and it’s hard to imagine anyone stepping into Leslie Nielsen’s iconic shoes at Lt. Over the past few years, no show has been able to attract as many loyal viewers as Yellowstone. Fans of the Western genre have been happy to see the show go mainstream and continue to succeed with each new spin-off that Taylor Sheridan has created. At this point, Yellowstone is more than just a show, it is a brand.
To say that people were devastated to see the show go off the air due to a scheduling conflict with its star, Kevin Costner, would be an understatement. However, the prospect of getting another spin-off to continue the story has since calmed the majority of fans.
Especially now that the creators are teasing new beginnings for some of the familiar characters.

But Hauser suggests the characters played by himself and Kelly Reilly might have a future beyond the show’s fifth season closer — presumably, in Paramount+’s planned Yellowstone spinoff 2024 (working title).
“I’m so focused on finishing Yellowstone the way it needs to be finished right now — well, just the show itself,” Hauser recently told Country Living. “We’ll see where that leads. But I know that there’s some stuff on the horizon when it comes to Taylor’s ideas for Kelly Reilly and myself, and some of the other cast. I’m excited to see where he goes creatively with that. But right now it’s just: Let’s finish strong; let’s do the best we can.

Kevin Costner’s Yellowstone is soon nearing its end with the remaining episodes of the fifth season. Over 6-7 years, the series has amassed a massive following and it is the flagship show for Paramount+. After part 1 of season 5 had been aired, Costner left the show citing creative differences with series creator Taylor Sheridan.

Yesterday evening, the news broke that Black Bird and Cruella star Paul Walter Hauser has joined the cast of Marvel Studios' The Fantastic Four.
It's another exciting and impressive addition to the reboot, though there was no word in the trades about who he's playing. The voice of H.E.R.B.I.E. is one possibility, though Mole Man is another suggestion which is being batted about online.
Hauser would be a great choice for a sinister new take on the baddie. Plus, with a story which takes place in the 1960s, using Mole Man as a supporting villain is a, well, fantastic way to pay homage to the team's first comic book appearance.
While he stops short of confirming Hauser has been cast in the role, Jeff Sneider (via The InSneider) is reporting that the current script for The Fantastic Four opens with Marvel's First Family defeating Mole Man.

All the Yellowstone drama has turned Kevin Costner into some sort of anti-hero figure among fans. Costner’s issues have caused some serious damage to the reputation of the TV series that saw its biggest overnight launch for the fifth-season premiere in November 2022. Cole Hauser, who plays bad boy ranch foreman Rip Wheeler in the hit neo-Western drama Yellowstone, expected his character was “going to be so hated” by viewers. Having been part of the popular Paramount Network series from the first season, Hauser’s Rip has become a fan favorite. After killing his stepfather to protect his abused mother, a young Rip was taken in by John Dutton (Kevin Costner), who treated him like a son and taught him how to be a cowboy. However, while loyal and hardworking, Rip also has a violent streak and has murdered on several occasions in order to protect the ranch. It’s because of this ruthless violence that Hauser never thought people, especially women, would like his character. “It surprised the s*** out of [creator] Taylor Sheridan and I, at first,” Hauser told People regarding the positive fan response to his character. “At first, to see women coming up and saying,...
