Allegations that Meghan Markle mistreated members of her staff when she was a working royal have been swirling for years. Following a leaked email from one aide claiming they were “bullied” by Prince Harry’s wife and quit for that reason, the Palace launched an investigation.
More accusations that the Sussexes’ aides were bullied made headlines when Valentine Low published his book Courtiers: The Hidden Power Behind the Crown. The veteran reporter wrote that those who were able to stick it out on Harry and Meghan’s staff called themselves the “Sussex Survivors Club.”
There were also reports that Prince William stepped in on more than one occasion when the duke and duchess’s employees were on the verge of quitting. Now, a royal author is revealing how Meghan reportedly responded to her brother-in-law’s concerns.

CBS’ military police procedural show NCIS has been having its fans on the edge of their seats while hinting at something big coming for Jessica Knight in season 21 finale. Some viral theories have been indeed confirmed by following episodes proving that the character gets a tempting offer from Director Vance to become the React team’s chief training officer which Knight accepts with an enthusiastic “Hell yeah”.

Before Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down from their roles within the royal family and moved to America, there were rumblings that Palace staffers didn’t have an easy time working for Meghan. There were even reports that some of the employees referred to Harry’s wife as “Duchess Difficult” and called themselves the “Sussex Survivors Club.” Meghan was also accused, via a leaked email, of forcing two aides to quit.
In March 2021, Buckingham Palace launched an investigation into complaints alleging Meghan bullied some of her assistants and that Harry even urged one aide to drop the issue.
Now, a former top Palace staffer who worked for the late Queen Elizabeth II for 17 years before working with Harry and Meghan has finally broken her silence.

The thriller, which starts production this month, is the English-language reinterpretation of Akira Kurosawa’s crime thriller High and Low. By the time Meghan Markle joined the royal family back in May 2018, she had already lived a fulfilling, successful life. The Duchess of Sussex is a former actress, having starred in USA Network’s Suits prior to meeting Prince Harry. While she was mostly known for her role on the small screen, she was able to build quite a net worth and fan base.
When Meghan first began dating Harry and was introduced to the royal family, one expert said she showed them “great potential” — but that it was overshadowed by the duchess feeling like she didn’t belong.

Harry has been slowly working toward rebuilding relationships with the royal family, but there have been nonstop rumors that the family doesn’t want him to return. However, one royal expert claims that sources say there are no ”obstacles” actually preventing Harry from re-joining the family.

The magical girl genre is one that’s near and dear to my heart. As a kid, anime like Sailor Moon immediately caught my attention with their all-girl team-ups, openness about wanting to rest after the fight and severe lack of “girls are useless” narratives. It’s no wonder so many creators take inspiration from a genre that champions love, friendship, self-care and badassery. Such is the case for Pearl Low. “Creating community through storytelling is at the heart of why I tell the types of stories that I do.” - Pearl Low, creator of Wheels & Roses Low has worked in animation for over eight years, having worked on projects such as Hair Love (Sony Pictures Animation), Craig of the Creek (Cartoon Network), #1 Happy Family USA (A24) and more. Low has since created Orange Blossom Studios , an independent studio that, according to Low, “strives to center diverse magical and cultural stories.

A royal commentator believes Meghan Markle made it abundantly clear what she thought of royal life from the beginning of her marriage to Prince Harry. He said she “wanted out of the royal family” and additionally, “always played the victim.”
Meghan Markle had promise as a working royal
Royal correspondent Valentine Low wasted her “great potential” after a promising start as the Duchess of Sussex. He shared his thoughts in an interview with The Sun.
Low was asked if Harry could return as a working royal, in a limited capacity, and if there would also be a role for Meghan? He replied, “No.”
“It’s unlikely she would return,” Low said. “She’s made it clear what she thinks of the institution.”
He continued that Meghan’s return as a working royal family member will never happen. “I just can’t see it in any way whatsoever.”

Exclusive: Sheryl Sandberg is fronting a documentary about sexual atrocities committed by Hamas on October 7.
The former COO of Meta and founder of LeanIn.org is presenting Screams Before Silence from Israeli doc maker Kastina Communications, which will focus on “women and girls who were raped, assaulted, and mutilated in a brutal rampage of gender-based violence.”
In the one-hour doc, which launches in April, Sandberg will interview released hostages and eyewitnesses to the terrifying October 7 Hamas attack at the Supernova Music Festival, the catalyst for a war that is still raging four months on.
Sandberg will also speak to first responders, and medical and forensic experts, as she tries to answer questions around why “many leading figures have attempted to minimize the attacks on women despite a whole wealth of evidence that they occurred.”

One of the most exciting categories this year at the Grammys is Best Melodic Rap Performance, where there’s one glaring omission: Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice’s “Barbie World.” The big hit from “Barbie” was relegated to Best Rap Song, showing a lack of enthusiasm from voters (who likely voted for it in the songwriting category due to its high alphabetical placement on the ballot). But the song’s miss ended up making the category way more interesting with a couple of hits now duking it out for the win. With big names in the category such as Drake and Sza, let’s consider who will ultimately be crowned the winner come February 4.
Let’s start with the song that has the least chance of a win: Burna Boy and 21 Savage’s “Sittin’ on Top of the World.” While the track was a big hit for Burna, it...

Ahead of the reissue of their 2020 self-titled debut, Texas-based slowcore act Teethe have released a new bite-sized single, “Thanks.” Sweet, slow, and low-key, the track comes packaged with a stunning animated video by Rosa Sawyers that captures the understated beauty of the tune through swirling, technicolor landscapes.
Like Mazzy Star or Low before them, Teethe manage to strike upon an indescribable mix of crushing sadness and pure, sublime beauty — a paradoxically warm sense of melancholy. “Everything was alright/ Everything was okay,” the quiet lead vocals sing as the song establishes its tone with nothing more than acoustic guitar and heart-piercing melodies. Before long, the track opens up with slide guitar and hints of percussion, all while keeping it dreamy and subdued.
Even at just 70 seconds in length, “Thanks” sonically and thematically delivers upon the promise of its title. It’s a poignant expression of gratitude that feels no need to...

After Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, stepped down from their roles as working royals, they did something the prince’s relatives never saw coming. The Sussexes publicly unloaded on Harry’s family airing out the monarchy’s dirty laundry in interviews and podcasts. The pair’s attacks didn’t stop following Queen Elizabeth II’s death with the release of their Netflix docuseries and the duke’s memoir Spare.
The Palace only disputed what they said once with a short statement that included the now-famous line: “Recollections may vary.” But that counter was made when the queen was still alive as King Charles has never responded to any of his son and daughter-in-law’s attacks. What’s Good: The documentary navigates the scandal’s complexities adeptly, offering a gripping narrative that delves into A-list celebrities, staggering fortunes, and high-level corruption. The relentless efforts of journalists shine as a commendable highlight, showcasing the positive impact of media in uncovering the truth.

Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle never did become BPFs (best princesses forever), and now, it seems that Kate is leaving her sister-in-law behind as she looks toward the future with her husband, Prince William.
While Kate and Meghan’s friendship never fully developed, that doesn’t mean there won’t be a time and place where they can be cordial and get along. However, at this point, it seems that both women are done with the drama that involves the other — especially Kate, according to a close friend.

About 10 years ago, Adam Weiner was onstage in a shitty NASCAR bar in Illinois, playing two sets of piano-driven rock & soul for about 30 onlookers. Weiner, who’s Jewish and fronts the band Low Cut Connie, was wearing a Star of David around his neck as he sang and banged on the keys, and the pendant caught the attention of a group of guys, standing arms folded, near the back of the room.
“My guitar player Will Donnelly, who was brand new in the band and also a Jew, goes to get a drink.

On April 20, attorney David Kenner delivered closing statements for Prakazrel “Pras” Michel in a closely watched fraud trial involving allegations that the Fugees founding member directed a sprawling conspiracy in which he funneled money from a Malaysian financier to a network of straw donors to make illegal campaign contributions to Barack Obama in 2012. But to the surprise of Michel’s new lawyers, who were retained after the artist was found guilty, Kenner’s first remarks to the jury appeared to be an admission of guilt.
“Ladies and gentleman, this case started back in 2012 when there was, as the government characterizes it, an effort to funnel money to President Obama’s reelection campaign,” Kenner said.
It turned out that Kenner used generative artificial intelligence to help craft his closing remarks, according to a court filing. Michel, who was convicted on charges of conspiring to make straw campaign donations and acting as an unregistered agent for China,...

Fugees’ Pras Michel is seeking a new trial in his federal conspiracy case, claiming that his former attorney is responsible for “ineffective representation,” which included using an AI program to write his closing argument.
The motion for a new trial was filed by Michel’s new legal team on Monday, October 16th. Among the allegations put forth by the motion against Michel’s previous lawyer, David Kenner, is a claim that Kenner “used an experimental artificial intelligence (AI) program to draft the closing argument, ignoring the best arguments and conflating the charged schemes, and he then publicly boasted that the AI program ‘turned hours or days of legal work into seconds’” (per Rolling Stone).
Further, the motion alleges that Kenner had “an undisclosed financial stake” in the AI program, and the usage of the program for Michel’s trial was done “so they could issue a press release afterward promoting...

The Fugees’ Pras Michel is arguing he deserves a new trial in his federal conspiracy case in part because his original attorney provided “ineffective representation,” even allegedly using an AI program to draft his closing argument.
Back in April, Michel was convicted on 10 counts of conspiracy and falsifying records for his role in a multimillion-dollar government influence campaign that involved both the Obama and Trump administrations. The charges against him included money laundering, illegal lobbying, witness tampering, and campaign finance violations.

Brian Dunne’s Loser on the Ropes is one of the sleeper albums of the year, a collection of melodic yet punky dissertations on finding the perseverance to grow old — if not up. “The Kids Are All Grown,” about facing your inner child, is a standout, but its sharp arrangement on the album leans more toward The Cars than the vulnerable vibes Dunne projects when he plays it live.

It seems Prince Harry can say he has one less enemy at Buckingham Palace. An updated version of a royal biography claims one of Queen Elizabeth II’s closest former staff members, Angela Kelly, signed a “deal” with “strings” after the late monarch’s death making it less likely they’ll ever speak out about the Duke of Sussex and the drama surrounding Meghan Markle’s royal wedding tiara.

Among the questions Harry answered in Spare was what happened with his wife, the Duchess of Sussex, and Queen Mary’s diamond bandeau tiara she wore for their May 2018 royal wedding. Reports in the months after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s nuptials claimed Harry argued with his grandmother about which tiara Meghan would wear.

It’s been seven years since the Justice Department filed the largest forfeiture complaint in U.S. history, asserting that billions had been stolen from Malaysia’s 1Mdb sovereign wealth fund and spent in gratuitous fashion around the world — on penthouse apartments in New York, vast mansions in the most exclusive neighborhoods of Los Angeles, private jets, superyachts, A-list parties, Vegas gambling trips, artworks and even forays into Hollywood with the financing of The Wolf of Wall Street.
While efforts have been made to seize the assets acquired with the stolen loot — and there have been seismic anti-corruption trials in Kuala Lumpur — the man accused of being the mastermind of the 1Mdb scandal, the flamboyant Malaysian businessman Jho Low, is still a fugitive. Many believe the individual, considered the most-wanted “white-collared criminal” on the planet, is in China, reportedly under house arrest in Shanghai.

Kate Middleton might be going about her life attending polo matches and sitting courtside at Wimbledon. However, according to an expert, the Princess of Wales is “always” thinking about what’s ahead. Even in how she reportedly helped get a line included in a statement after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle “trashed” the royal family in their 2021 Oprah interview.

Taking after the late Queen Mother, Kate expertly wields “soft power,” royal expert Jennie Bond told Ok! Magazine.
“People always used to describe the Queen Mother as ‘steel in a velvet glove,’” Bond said. “She was always charming, gentle, and much admired. But, she was also the strength behind her husband, George Vl, and, at the Palace, her opinion counted.”
“I think Catherine has some of those same qualities,” the commentator continued.

There is going to be a lot of overreaching. That’s the only way we can actually do this. Yes, we are talking about Cruel Summer season 2 here. The show dangled its central mystery before us in the opening episode of the season, but even after six episodes, we can’t exactly say that we have any clear idea about what happened. However, that is not going to stop us from forming theories about how Luke, aka the male lead character of this season, died. For this article, I scratched my own head a lot as well as scoured the fan pages of the show on Reddit. What you are going to read is the outcome of that. To make things simpler, I am going to separate the characters and discuss their individual motives behind killing Luke or speculate about their possible involvement in his death somehow. There is a possibility that in four weeks,...

[Editor’s note: The following contains spoilers for Yellowjackets, Season 2 Episode 8, “It Chooses.”]
After a riveting first season filled with sonic callbacks to the ’90s, Season 2 of Showtime’s Yellowjackets kicked off with a similarly wistful tone, thanks to the new trailer, spotlighting Florence and the Machine’s cover of No Doubt’s “Just a Girl.”
Season 1 of the series took viewers back to 1996 when a young group of soccer players survives a plane crash and the aftermath forced the characters to deal with a string of psychologically unfortunate events. Considering when the story starts, music from the era is paramount to the series. So far, we’ve heard everything from Portishead’s “Glory Box” to “Rump Shaker” by Wreckx-n-Effect in the series, with Season 2 promising to keep that same energy while jumping in between timelines.

Fugees co-founding member Pras Michel has been convicted for his involvement in a brazen billion-dollar Malaysian money laundering scheme. On Wednesday, a jury found Pras guilty of 10 federal counts, including campaign finance violations, money laundering, illegal lobbying, witness tampering, and lying to banks. He faces up to 20 years in prison.
The case involved Low Taek Jho, aka “Jho Low,” a fugitive businessman who has been accused of embezzling $4.5 billion from a Malaysian sovereign wealth fund known as 1Malaysia Development Berhad. Michel allegedly worked on Jho’s behalf, intentionally failing to register under the Foreign Agents Registration Act, and attempting to influence two different presidential administrations — by pouring millions of dollars into Barack Obama’s 2012 reelection campaign through straw donors, and by lobbying Donald Trump’s administration to halt a DOJ investigation into 1Mdb. Michel was allegedly paid tens of millions of dollars for his services.

The contents of a letter purportedly written by Meghan Markle and sent to King Charles III — in which she identified a “senior” royal who expressed “concerns” about the colour of her son, Archie’s, skin — found their way into a U.K. newspaper and sent royal correspondents into a frenzy, culminating with accusations Meghan leaked the letter. But a rep for the Duchess of Sussex tells Et that such a suggestion is “false and frankly ridiculous.”
The royal drama unfolded after The Telegraph on Friday night posted a story claiming Charles, 74, wrote to Meghan, 41, expressing his sorrow over the family tension following her and Prince Harry’s March 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, in which she revealed that there were “concerns and conversations about how dark [Archie’s] skin might be when he’s born.” The outlet reported that Meghan wrote back to the then-Prince of Wales, who was the only senior...

Leonardo DiCaprio took the stand at Washington, D.C.’s federal courthouse on Monday as a witness in the trial of former Fugees member Prakazrel “Pras” Michel.
Pras is accused of allegedly funneling money to Barack Obama’s 2012 presidential reelection campaign through straw donors and working with fugitive Malaysian financer Low Taek Jho, also known as Jho Low. Five years later, prosecutors say Pras tried to squelch an investigation into Low under former President Donald Trump’s administration. Leonardo DiCaprio testified in federal court Monday morning as part of a trial involving international money laundering, bribery and a prominent rap artist.
Prakazrel “Pras” Michel — a founding member of 1990s hip-hop group The Fugees — is accused of funneling money from a fugitive Malaysian financier through straw donors to Barack Obama’s 2012 reelection campaign. Five years later, prosecutors say he tried to squelch an investigation into that same financier under former President Donald Trump’s administration.
At the heart of the case is Low Taek Jho, usually known as Jho Low. He is accused of masterminding an international money laundering and bribery scheme that stole billions from the Malaysian state investment fund known as 1Mdb.
DiCaprio’s connection with the case comes from his years-long relationship with Low, who was one of the primary financers of the movie The Wolf of Wall Street. Low is currently a fugitive but has maintained his innocence.

DiCaprio’s connection with the case comes from his years-long relationship with Low, who was one of the primary financers of the movie The Wolf of Wall Street. Low is currently a fugitive but has maintained his innocence.

The 2023 installment of the “Celebrating David Bowie” tour has been rescheduled after vocalist Peter Murphy underwent an “an unexpected medical procedure.”
An announcement on Murphy’s Instagram confirmed that the Bauhaus frontman’s recent unspecified procedure “prohibits his ability to travel as planned” but “he is recovering well, will fully recover, and be ready to tour the US with the group this Fall.” The post also listed several “initial” dates that had been moved to October and November, while also noting that all tickets purchased for the previously announced shows will be honored at their new corresponding date.
The revised run now kicks off in Tacoma, Washington on October 10th and concludes in Cincinnati on November 22nd. The updated itinerary also suggests the singer will be returning even stronger with more cities, including Chicago, added to the ensemble’s tour stops. Check out the full live stretch below.
