Spanish drama thrillers never go out of style. The theatrics and histrionics showcased in these shows never seem to end, and there is a large portion of the audience that enjoys such content. Elite, The Snow Girl, and Money Heist are some of the prime examples of thriller drama shows coming out of Netflix Spain. Holy Family is an eight-episodic series that was released last year and is about a family that seems to have decent social standing but is burdened by many secrets.
Season one began with middle-aged mothers Blanca, Gloria, and Alicia frequently meeting at an eatery to consume copious amounts of Margarita while they trudge through their lives as mothers. The show throws light on all kinds of issues these women face. Blanca has been married to a pilot while raising her son Lorenzo, who suffers from Down syndrome. Bengali actor Dev’s film ‘Bagha Jatin’, based on the legendary freedom fighter of the same name, has received much acclaim from audiences in regards to how it has handled its subject. Going behind-the-scenes, Dev was completely uncompromising in regards to both his capacity as an actor and producer.
Dev, talking about the portrayal said in Bangla: “The subject of ‘Bagha Jatin’ was something I was very personally involved in. He is a legend of Bengal and it was one of my toughest roles ever.”
He further mentioned: “But I was so deeply engrossed in the topic, I wanted to make it as authentic and true to history as I could. As such, my attempt on this was completely uncompromising, because this is a very heavy topic to handle, as well as something that I felt personally attached to.”

Former Vienna Open champion Andrey Rublev is looking every bit of the new Vienna Open champion with the way he managed to fight against Alexander Zverev .
Both Rublev and Zverev won this Atp 500 event in the past, and both love to play in the Austrian capital. Rublev looked really good in his first two matches , but he didn't look as good as in the opening set against Zverev.
The German had some solid performances as well, but his form lately hasn't been as good as that of Rublev. The difference was glaring in the opening set as it wasn't close.
The Russian dominated in the rallies, and even Zverev's serve couldn't help him much. 6-1 was the score for Rublev in the opening set, and he had a chance to break early in the second set but didn't get it done.
The German found a solid rhythm, especially from the serve,...

Editors note: This review was originally published May 29 when the movie premiered at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival. Now Argentina’s Oscar entry, it hits theaters Friday via Mubi.
Whether it’s the flat white lighting and washed-out color grading that gives The Delinquents the look of a ‘70s TV serial, or the fact that much of it is set in a mountain swimming beach where people claim to see apparitions, there is an undercurrent of genuine oddity running beneath this long, complex film. Screening at Cannes in the Un Certain Regard section for innovative or personal cinema, Rodrigo Moreno’s story begins with a bank robbery. The very ease with which this crime is committed is odd in itself: Moran (Daniel Elias) simply walks into the bank vault, puts a pile of American dollars in his gym bag and goes home. Not what you expect in a heist film, but here is the point.

Apart from South Indian cinema, Bengali cinema too seems to be going pan-Indian as Bengali cinema superstar Dev’s much anticipated film, the biopic ‘Bagha Jatin’ based on the revolutionary freedom fighter has released its Hindi trailer. Featuring some state-of-the-art quality production, the trailer is visually stunning and has some very emotional and well written dialogues. In more ways than one, ‘Bagha Jatin’ seems to have a very identical similarity with the Telugu blockbuster film ‘Rrr’ which is also combined with some flavour of the Sunny Deol-starrer-blockbuster film ‘Gadar 2’.
The trailer kicks off with Bagha Jatin’ son telling him that he too wants to kill a tiger just like his father did. However, smiling at him, the fighter says that it was a mistake to do so and he had little choice as it is wrong to kill an animal.
The trailer then shows several scenes ranging from personal family drama to gathering partners,...

Alexander Zverev is still undefeated in China in 2023, but he'll put that winning streak up for the test against old nemesis Daniil Medvedev .
They played several great matches over the years, and no love is lost between them. Some of those matches happened this year, with Zverev winning the most recent one at the Cincinnati Masters . The German is on a tear right now, still undefeated since touching down in China.
He won the Chengdu trophy and looks like a good candidate to book yet another final, this time at the 2023 China Open . To get there, he'll have to overcome Daniil Medvedev, who has been fair so far but ranted a bit about the balls, which makes it hard for him to keep the points short.
It's an exciting matchup, especially with these unique courts in Beijing, but let's see who might actually win this one.

Alexander Zverev had long hair at times in his career but this time around it's been getting quite long and nobody knew why.
At least nobody knew why until he explained it recently, admitting that it actually came from a bet. Yes, Alexander Zverev lost a bet which forces him to keep his hair long as he can't cut it for an entire year. The last time he cut his hair was back in November of last year meaning that he's got a few more months to go.
In the same TennisTV segment, Zverev added that he understands that it doesn't look that good but he's going to keep it for now as he lost the bet and he's a man of his word. He didn't seem particularly thrilled with the question but had a good chuckle while explaining.
Zverev: Really? You just heard me say that on the other station.

Despite protests from fans, Alexander Zverev took to the courts and thrashed Alex Molcan comfortably at the Hamburg Open .
Alexander Zverev is back home in Hamburg, and he's proving quite comfortable at home. Why shouldn't he, he basically grew up on these courts. Sure, there is some off-court stuff that he's dealing with, but the German was quite categorical in his denial of the allegations .
Fans were furious that he was heavily featured in the promotional content at the Atp 500 event but he didn't mind as he trashed Alex Molcan comfortably in his first match at the event. The first set was a proper shellacking as the German destroyed Molcan with a bagel.
Zverev dominated play rather comfortably losing only a handful of points behind his serve. He served quite well and just dominated the rallies as Molcan struggled to keep the ball in play. The Slovakian can go on...

Kvea and Kcet each won eight trophies at the 75th Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards to lead the field just like they did at the nomination stage. Telemundo’s Kvea swept all three regularly scheduled newscast categories, morning, daytime and evening. CBS/KCAL9 followed with 4 wins, with ABC7 and Spectrum SportsNet LA tied at 3 and Kmex, Spectrum News 1 and Spectrum SportsNet at 2. The honored telecasts included two tributes to local icon Vin Scully who died last summer.

Alexander Zverev was at the center of terrible scheduling at the 2023 Italian Open in Rome, forcing him to play two matches in a short period of time.
Scheduling has always been a topic on both Atp & Wta Tours and while tennis players are doing their best to be as loud as possible about the issue, their voices are seemingly not being heard by the tournament organizers.
Only recently, Iga Swiatek criticized the Madrid Open organizers for their scheduling and only one week later, we have another illogical move, this time surrounding one of the best Atp players, Alexander Zverev.
It was only one year ago when the German voiced his displeasure with the scheduling in Madrid and he is once again facing a difficult situation, this time at the 2023 Italian Open in Rome after finishing his second-round match only on Sunday.

Alexander Zverev can drop out of the Top 100 of the Atp Rankings for the first time since 2015.
The 26-year-old German established himself as one of the most consistent player on the Atp Tour over the years. Last year, he got very close to becoming the World No. 1, but his dreams were dashed by a career-changing injury.
Zverev injured himself during the semifinal match at the 2022 Roland Garros against Rafael Nadal, forcing him to miss the rest of the last year's season. Because of that, he couldn't add any more points to his total in 2022, and he started the 2023 season slowly, trying to rebuild his form.
Because of that, the German wasn't able to defend many points that he earned during the sensational start of the last season, and that caused him to slowly start dropping in the Atp Rankings.

Bengaluru, Feb 26 (Ians) German Chancellor Olaf Scholz visited the M. Chinnaswamy cricket stadium here on Sunday and interacted with men and women players of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (Rcb) team.
He spent about 15 minutes speaking to Rcb men and women team members and the officials of the Karnataka State Cricket Association (Ksca).
An official of the German Embassy said Scholz wanted to personally know about cricket as he understands that cricket is India’s number one passion when it comes to sports.
The German Chancellor wanted to understand what the Rcb meant to the city, especially when the women’s team is set to play the first season of the Women’s Premier League.
“We had the extreme honour and privilege of hosting the Hon’ble Chancellor Olaf Scholz of Germany at Namma Chinnaswamy Stadium. His Excellency called on Rcb’s Wpl camp today,” reads a tweet from Rcb’s Twitter handle.

London, Feb 21 (Ians) Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp said on Monday that he believes his side’s form could have come good just in time for the first leg of their UEFA Champions League last-16 clash against Real Madrid at Anfield on Tuesday.
The repeat of last season’s final comes on the back of Liverpool’s 2-0 win at home against Everton and Saturday’s 2-0 win away to high-flying Newcastle United.
Those results follow a poor start to the year which saw Liverpool knocked out of the Fa Cup by Brighton and a 3-0 defeat against Wolves two weeks ago.
Speaking in his pre-game press conference, Klopp admitted the game against Real Madrid had come at the right time.
“I’m really happy we can play now: four weeks ago it would have been different, but life is all about timing. Maybe we’ve found our feet right in time for this game,...

Doha, Dec 20 (Ians) The 2022 World Cup final will go down in history as one of the greatest ever, as Argentina won 4-2 in a penalty shootout after the scoreline was locked at 3-3 at the end of extra time. And, Gonzalo Montiel will forever be remembered as the player who scored the winning spot kick, with the Sevilla Fc right-back displaying cool confidence to send France captain Hugo Lloris the wrong way and to kickstart the celebrations.
Not only was it a historic penalty, but it was also a brilliantly executed one. The full-back didn’t even look at Lloris and, with the world watching, he focused solely on the ball, dispatching a solid and sure kick to his left.
That made it ten penalties converted from ten penalties attempted in the 25-year-old’s career, after he started taking spot kicks while working under Marcelo Gallardo at River Plate. “We...

Las Vegas – Veteran newspaper reporter Jeff German spent four decades breaking big stories in a city dripping in scandal and blood-red intrigue.
As a columnist and investigative bulldog for two Las Vegas dailies, German’s byline lived on the front page. From covering mob hits and public corruption, to the Balzacian melodrama of the Strip’s casino power elite, German’s reporting was a constant presence. What he lacked in deadline style, he made up for in relentless pursuit that, at times, bordered on obsession.

Jeff German, a reporter for the Las Vegas Journal-Review, was found stabbed to death outside of his home this past weekend.
The police now say they’ve arrested a suspect, who is thought to be a local politician Robert Telles, about whom German had written several critical stories.
After calling on the community to call in if they saw any sign of the suspect or his vehicle early this week, Telles arrested yesterday.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department hasn’t officially confirmed the identity of the suspect, but they did obtain a search warrant for Telle’s home yesterday.
Telles had been serving as the Clark County Public Administrator since 2019, while German worked as a reporter in Vegas for over 30 years, with two decades writing for The Las Vegas Sun and 12 years at the Journal-Review.

A top Las Vegas-area public official was arrested tonight in connection with the fatal stabbing of a well-known investigative journalist on Friday night, according to multiple news reports.
Clark County Public Administrator Robert “Rob” Telles was taken into custody at his home this evening by a Swat team as part of the investigation into the killing of Las Vegas Review-Journal reporter Jeff German. The arrest came after police spent hours searching Telles’ home, where they confiscated a vehicle that resembled the SUV tied to the stabbing suspect: a red or maroon Gmc Yukon Denali.
Telles himself was observed this afternoon at his home. He was later taken into custody after a standoff with police with what ABC News described as “non-life-threatening self-inflicted stab wounds.”
Robert Telles just arrived at his house. Reporters asked him if he had any comment. I asked why police towed his vehicle. He had no comment.

Las Vegas police officers found investigative journalist Jeff German dead with multiple stab wounds at around 10:30 a.m Saturday morning.
Police believe the 69-year-old Review-Journal reporter was in an altercation with someone on Friday that ended in the stabbing outside his home. They also believe the event to be an isolated incident.
A spokesman for Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Dori Koren, said at a news conference, “We believe the altercation took place outside of the home. We do have some leads. We are pursuing a suspect but the suspect is outstanding.”
Glenn Cook, the Review-Journal‘s executive editor, was not aware of any potential threats against German before the tragedy occurred.
He said in a statement, “The Review-Journal family is devastated to lose Jeff. He was the gold standard of the news business.”
