Amazon has put in development hourlong drama series Girl Waits With Gun, based on Amy Stewart’s bestselling book, from writers Jennifer Crittenden and Gabrielle Allan (Veep). The project, which has a pilot option, hails from Elizabeth Banks and Max Handelman’s Brownstone Productions, Warner Bros. TV and Amazon Studios.
Penned by Crittenden and Allan, Girl Waits With Gun is inspired by the true story of Constance Kopp who, years before women had the right to vote, own property or even wear pants, became the first female sheriff in the United States in 1914.
Crittenden and Allan executive produce with Banks and Handelman for Brownstone in association with Warner Bros. TV and Amazon Studios.
Girl Waits With Gun, published by Houghton Mifflin, is the first book in Stewart’s Kopp Sisters novels. It was followed by Lady Cop Makes Trouble and Miss Kopp’s Midnight Confessions. The fourth book in the series,...

The new comedy from 20th Century Fox starring Anna Faris and Chris Evans is based on Karyn Bosnak's bestselling book 20 Times a Lady and currently available to own on DVD, Blu-ray and Digital Download. The Film A stereotypical romantic comedy about a clumsy girl (Anna Farris) looking for love. She eventually falls for the bad boy (Chris Evans) who "unexpectedly" meets all her cliché requirements. Farris is unfortunately not at her best. The writing is so poor that this popular actress who is known for her comedic appeal can barely make you laugh, but at times at least manages to make you smile. Poor Chris Evans was apparently cast so that he can only appear on screen (which he unsurprisingly is for most of film). The highlights of the movie are Farris’ ex boyfriends, played by Joel...

Chris Evans bares it all in a fresh clip of his upcoming romantic comedy film "What's Your Number?". Coming out via Perez Hilton, the video gives a look at a footage where the lead actor of "Captain America: The First Avenger" walks out of his apartment in his birth suit.
In the clip, the bare-naked Chris is seen casually munching on an apple while talking to his neighbor Anna Faris, who asks for a love advice from him. Nonetheless, he doesn't seem to help her much in solving her problem to find a true love.

In What's Your Number?, Anna Faris (The House Bunny) plays a woman who, with the aid of her womanizing next door neighbor (Chris Evans), decides to re-visit all her ex-boyfriends in the hopes of finding the man of her dreams. It's all so confusing, I can only wonder if she'll end up with the womanizing neighbor as they grow closer over the course of the film... but that's just a guess.
What's a little more interesting, though, is the film has already earned an R-rating for sexual content and language. It just doesn't look like that edgy of a film, at least not to me.
The film is an adaptation of Karyn Bosnak's book "20 Times a Lady" and along with Faris and Evans it stars Andy Samberg, Zachary Quinto, Martin Freeman, Anthony Mackie, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Ari Graynor, Joel McHale and Faris's real-life husband, Chris Pratt and it's directed by...

[1] Like her House Bunny co-star Emma Stone, Anna Faris is one of those actresses who has enough charm and verve to brighten up even the most lackluster material. And it's mostly for that reason that I'm actually looking forward to What's Your Number? The upcoming romcom features Faris as a woman who, upon realizing that she has slept with 20 men, revisits her former flames to see if "the one" might've been among them. Watch the trailer after the jump. [via TheMovieBox.Net [2] and ComingSoon [3]] The trailer looks fairly generic, right down to the wedding subplot and lines like "Sometimes you can't live life by the numbers." And yet... I totally plan to see this. The mainstream Hollywood romantic comedy is a genre where doing something new is often less important than doing something well -- and thanks in a large part to its excellent cast, What's Your Number? looks like it could be...

The power combo of Anna Faris and Chris Evans are set to bring the bound-to-be-raucous R-rated What's Your Number? to the big screen this summer. In the screenplay, written by Karyn Bosnak and based on her book "20 Times a Lady," Faris plays a young woman who decides she's destined to meet her perfect mate after she sleeps with a maximum of exactly 20 dudes. She wakes up in bed with her boss -- I've been there, but does it really count as an affair if you're spooning in bed with seven or eight writers for a website? -- and realize she's clocked in at lucky number double diaz. So then she goes back through all the dudes she hooked up in her past with trying to find her perfect mate. Hijinks and herpes zingers ensue.
