This is the first physical edition of the Inter:Active Symposium.
Nine immersive projects exploring the subject of ‘Transformations’ have been selected for this year’s Cph:lab Inter:Active Symposium, which will run as part of the Cph: Dox film festival (March 23-April 3).
This year’s symposium will take place in-person after the first two editions ran online in 2020 and 2021.
Three of the nine projects selected were part-produced in the UK: Oceanic Feeling, The Pathogen Of War and The Sacred Cave Of Kamukuwaka.

Magnolia Pictures International has announced multiple territory sales on its EFM slate led by South African thriller Indemnity, drama Italian Studies, sci-fi Ultrasound and Brazilian Sundance premiere Mars One.
Travis Taute’s Indemnity is described as a Bourne-esque story about a former firefighter in Cape Town accused of murdering his wife. The program announcements continue for this year’s Berlin International Film Festival, with the Series and Generation strands both unveiling today, as well as the line-up for the Co-Production Market. Scroll down for the lists of titles.
The Berlinale Series selection, which is increasingly becoming a more high-profile part of the festival, again boasts several buzzy titles.
Premiering in Berlin will be Amazon Prime Video’s Argentinian series Yosi, The Regretful Spy, the Swedish show Lust from HBO Max, Sky’s UK series The Rising, and Lone Scherfig Danish show The Shift, which comes from local broadcaster TV2.
The Generation strand, which features youth-focused cinema, includes 14 features this year. The selection marks the last of long-time Generation head Maryanne Redpath.

Streaming giant Netflix has joined as a major sponsor of the Asia Pacific Screen Awards, which will return to Queensland’s Gold Coast for the third edition of its forum and the 14th edition of its awards ceremony.
After a slimmed-down 2020 edition, this year marks a return to full competition for the 14th Awards on Nov. 11, with all categories to be presented. The in-person ceremony will be held at the Home of The Arts.
The forum (Nov. 11-16) will feature conversations with: Thai film director Apichatpong Weerasethakul, whose recent “Memoria” played in competition in Cannes; “Memoria” producer Soros Sukhum; and fast-rising Singaporean producer Jeremy Chua. His latest film the Abdullaah Mohammad Saad-directed “Rehana Maryam Noor,” was the first Bangladeshi film to be selected for Cannes’ Un Certain Regard.
