Jose Tolosa is Executive Vice President, Chief Transformation Officer, ViacomCBS. Tolosa guides the combined company's integration to accelerate the evolution of its businesses. Additionally, he leads Strategic Planning efforts for ViacomCBS, and oversees the company's Global Business Services and Global Sourcing teams, serving enterprise-wide support and helping drive cost synergies. Tolosa reports to Bob Bakish, President and Chief Executive Officer, ViacomCBS.
Tolosa previously served as Chief Transformation Officer of Viacom since November 2017. During this time, Tolosa directed Viacom's transformation strategy through cross-company initiatives to drive the revitalization of Viacom across its core businesses. Prior to this position, Tolosa served as Chief Operating Officer of Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) since 2015, leading the company's international growth strategy to extend its pay-TV footprint and increase consumer access to content across platforms. In addition to his role as COO, Tolosa was EVP of Global Strategy at Viacom Media Networks, heading divisional leaders to craft and execute a unified global strategic path for Viacom's teen- and adult-focused brands.
Before his appointment as COO and EVP of Global Strategy, Tolosa was EVP of Strategy, Business Development and Operations for VIMN from 2013, and Senior Vice President of Strategy and Business Development from 2009. He worked with VIMN leadership to implement business plans, identify new growth opportunities, oversee key M&A transactions and deliver important operational improvements.
Tolosa began his career at Viacom in 2008, and acted in a number of pan-regional business development and strategy roles for the company in Latin America, Japan and India. Before Viacom, he was co-founder and COO at the HNMA Funding Company and held roles at The Parthenon Group, Bear Stearns and Co. and Claxson Interactive Group.
A native of Puerto Rico, Tolosa holds an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School and graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University with a B.S. in Finance and Accounting.
