Made on a budget of less than $100,000, director Rhys Frake-Waterfield’s movie Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey (watch it Here) earned more than $6 million during its global release in early 2023… and sure, the movie racked up the Razzies, but it’s money that matters, and that’s why Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 was made and given a theatrical release last month. Now the Australia-based company Umbrella Entertainment is taking pre-orders for their special edition Blu-ray release of Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2, which is scheduled to be released on July 17th.

Milne’s 1926 children’s book Winnie-the-Pooh and the characters in it lapsed into the public domain at the start of last year, and that’s how Frake-Waterfield was able to make these movies happen, no permission required. We already knew that there’s going to be another installment in the Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey horror franchise, because it was announced earlier this month that Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey and Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 (which is now on the last day of its three-day theatrical run) a part of a cinematic universe with other horror movies inspired by children’s stories, like Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare, Bambi: The Reckoning, and Pinocchio Unstrung, and it’s building up to the crossover movie Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble, which will be released in 2025. But now Variety has been able to confirm that, in addition to Poohniverse, Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 3 is also moving ahead. This sequel will have a bigger budget than either of its predecessors, and “will introduce new characters from the original Winnie-the-Pooh stories, including Rabbit, the heffalumps and the woozles.

Last month, we shared the news that ITN Studios, the company that brought us Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey, is teaming with producer/director Louisa Warren on two fractured fairy tale horror movies: Cinderella’s Curse and Sleeping Beauty’s Massacre. Now Variety and our friends at Bloody Disgusting have gotten their hands on some images that offer a preview of Cinderella’s Curse, and you can check them out at the bottom of this article. One of those images even gives the first look at the film’s “cunning, cruel, and deadly” version of the Fairy Godmother!
Coming our way from ChampDog Films, Cinderella’s Curse was scripted by Harry Boxley. Warren told Bloody Disgusting, “This an incredibly unique spin on the Cinderella we all love and know. There are going to be some truly horrific deaths by her hands. I think the gore hounds are in for a treat in my dark retelling.

Earlier today we showed you a couple exclusive images from the upcoming horror movie Cinderella’s Curse, and we’re back with a particularly gruesome new look at the movie.
Chrissie Wunna is playing the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella’s Curse, who in Disney’s Cinderella is a kind-hearted old woman.
But this isn’t Disney’s Cinderella…
Wunna tells Bloody Disgusting, “The fairy godmother [in our movie] is cunning, cruel and deadly. Things are going to get extremely bloody when she’s around.”
“Our version of Cinderella winks towards Carrie,” Wunna teases.
Check out your first look at Wunna’s terrifying Fairy Godmother below!

ITN Studios, the distributor behind cult micro budget horror “Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey,” has released a first look at its upcoming project “Cinderella’s Curse.”
Produced and directed by Louisa Warren, the film stars Kelly Rian Sanson, Chrissie Wunna and Danielle Scott.
Harry Boxley (“Mary Had A Little Lamb”) wrote the screenplay.
“Cinderella’s Curse” is a spine-chilling twist on the familiar fairytale.
It’s already started shooting in the U.K. and the first images show Sanson with classic blonde ringlets covered in sweat, cuts and grime. In another image, a blonde woman clad in a white mask is covered in blood and appears to be holding a knife.
The third image shows Sanson looking on at something in horror.

Producers/directors Louisa Warren and Scott Jeffrey have worked together multiple times, crafting films about creepy mermaids, scarecrows, and dolls. They’ve even made several horror Tooth Fairy movies. Jeffrey is currently collaborating with Rhys Frake-Waterfield on a series of films that will put a horror twist on public domain children’s stories like Peter Pan, Bambi, and Winnie the Pooh – and it started with Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey. While they work on that, Warren has announced (via our friends at Bloody Disgusting) that she has two fractured fairy tale horror movies in the works: Cinderella’s Curse and Sleeping Beauty’s Massacre!

The idea of retelling placid and gentle children's fairy tales in a bloody, horror milieu is hardly new. Think of a fairy tale or beloved children's classic, and odds are good that someone has already transformed it into a horror movie. Off the top of my head: Neil Jordan made a horror movie out of Little Red Riding Hood with "The Company of Wolves" in 1984. Later, in 1996, filmmaker Matthew Bright brought the same story into a scuzzy modern setting with "Freeway." 1997 saw the release of "Snow White: A Tale of Terror" with Sigourney Weaver as the evil queen.
"The Little Mermaid" was transformed into an awesome 2015 horror musical called "The Lure." Pinocchio starred in "Pinocchio's Revenge." The Gingerbread Man was transformed into "The Gingerdead Man". A quick stroll through the spider-webbed hallways of Tubi might reveal titles like "The Curse of Sleeping Beauty," 1995's "Rumplestiltskin," and multiple films called "The Tooth Fairy.

Last Christmas, we heard that Patrick Bergin (EastEnders) had signed on to star in a holiday horror film called Nutcracker, which Rebecca Matthews (The Gardener) was directing from a screenplay by Joe Knetter (Blind) that was based on a story by executive producer Jeff Miller (Once Upon a Time in Deadwood). That movie has now been released through the Tubi streaming service under the even more appealing title Nutcracker Massacre. To help you decide whether or not you’ll want to head over to Tubi and watch the movie as soon as possible, we have the trailer embedded above.
Executive produced by Commando director Mark L. Lester, Nutcracker Massacre follows a struggling novelist who visits her family for Christmas and finds a mysterious, life-size Nutcracker doll, which soon becomes possessed and wreaks havoc.

I will continue to champion Christmas horror probably until the day I die. There’s honestly not much more to it than I love Christmas and I love horror but there is something about a film that mixes the two together nicely. Nicely might not be the word I’d use with The Killing Tree, ridiculously would be much more apt.
Where do I start with The Killing Tree?! Originally known as what I think is a better title, Demonic Christmas Tree. Not dissimilar to the classic Christmas horror B-movie Jack Frost, where a serial killer returns as a snowman, this time, on Christmas Eve, the widow of a murderer who has been executed, casts a spell to resurrect him.

Jack Frost opens with a prologue that sees Lesley take on Jack Frost and win… time running out for the frosty one to get back his dismembered hand – an appendage that will make him whole once more and allow him to walk the earth again after, as we’re told in the introduction, he was dismembered by Santa back in a time when myths and legends were all too real and his body parts scattered across the globe, taken care of by the descendants of the big red one… A brief jump forward 50 years to the present day and Lesley is now a curmudgeonly Grandma who doesn’t celebrate Christmas for fear of Jack Frost returning. Only this year...
