The Season 19 finale of The Voice shouldn’t have been suspenseful. Like, at all. Based on your enthusiastic support of Team Gwen Stefani’s junior achiever Carter Rubin in the polls that have followed our recaps, he had the victory in the bag. A nice one, even, with tissue paper and a bow.
But, as we know all too well, the results of TVLine polls don’t necessarily reflect the preferences of the NBC sing-off’s audience as a whole. We also couldn’t underestimate The Blake Shelton Effect — by which a contestant leapfrogs to the front of the pack...

A whopping eight artists were sent home during Tuesday’s results show bloodbath on “The Voice,” but it’s the elimination of Worth the Wait that has fans most upset. This trio of family singers from Team Blake Shelton gave it their all each and every week, even going viral with their blind audition of Linda Ronstadt‘s “When Will I Be Loved” (watch above). Unfortunately, they couldn’t beat Bailey Rae in the instant save and were sent home along with Tanner Gomes and Payge Turner. The night’s other eliminated contestants were Madeline Consoer, Joseph Soul, Sid Kingsley, Taryn Papa and Chloé Hogan.

Based on your responses to the Voice poll that followed Monday’s recap of Season 19’s Live Playoffs, Team Kelly Clarkson’s Madeline Consoer, Team John Legend’s Bailey Rae, Team Gwen Stefani’s Joseph Soul and Team Blake Shelton’s Four-Way Knockout survivor Taryn Papa were so near the end of their runs on the sing-off that they should’ve been able to see the checkered flag waving.
The poll results also suggested that we were not headed for the all-country finale that the coaches had seemed intent on arranging in order to compete with King Blake. (Only Ben Allen,...

Last night on “The Voice,” the Top 17 artists gave it their all on the stage in the first live episode of Season 19. America voted overnight for their favorite artists, and by the end of Tuesday’s results show the Top 9 would be revealed. That’s right — a whopping eight contestants were about to be eliminated on live television. Talk about a bloodbath! Here’s how it works: the four highest-voted singers from each team will immediately sail through, and then each of the four coaches will then get to choose one person to advance. That leaves the ninth artist in America’s hands via the Twitter instant save. Here’s a closer look at each coach’s roster at the top of the show:
Team Kelly: Desz, Madeline Consoer, Tanner Gomes, Cami Clune
Team Gwen: Carter Rubin, Payge Turner, Joseph Soul, Ben Allen
Team Blake: Ian Flanigan, Jim Ranger, Worth the Wait,...

Now that “The Voice” blind auditions, battles and knockouts are behind us, Blake Shelton‘s team consists of exactly four artists heading into the Season 19 live shows. (A potential fifth artist depends on who America votes for to win the four-way knockout.) “King” Blake is the longest-serving coach in “The Voice” history, having been with the show since day one. As such, he’s also the winningest coach with seven overall triumphs: Jermaine Paul (Season 2), Cassadee Pope (Season 3), Danielle Bradbery (Season 4), Craig Wayne Boyd (Season 7), Sundance Head (Season 11), Chloe Kohanski (Season 13) and Todd Tilghman (Season 18).

I’ve had it, people. Seriously. After The Voice coach John Legend chose Bailey Rae over Sid Kingsley in the Battles, I thought I’d had it, but I hadn’t. Now I have. In Tuesday’s final episode of the Knockouts, Kelly Clarkson made a decision that was so boneheaded and backassward, I… I seriously can’t. I’m not just annoyed, I’m flippin’ ticked. And if you read on to find out who she chose as the winner of her last face-off — and even more so, if you saw the performances — you’ll understand why. Facepalm. Extreme facepalm.

The final knockout episode of “The Voice” aired Tuesday night on NBC, with the special four-way knockout wrapping things up for this round. This was when the four saved artists from the battles faced off on the big stage, with the winner ultimately being determined by America’s vote. They were: Taryn Papa for Team Blake Shelton, Julia Cooper for Team John Legend, Larriah Jackson for Team Gwen Stefani and Ryan Gallagher for Team Kelly Clarkson. You’ll have to wait until the live shows to see who won this 4-way knockout, but in the meantime, let us know who You think gave the best performance.

Contestants dropped like mics as The Voice’s Season 19 Knockouts continued Monday. Five — count ’em, five — would-be winners were sent packing. Well, at least if you include the one poor guy whose performance was entirely cut from the show. Read on, and we’ll go over all of the KOs that we got to see and hear in full, then you can sound off about the coaches’ picks and whether the ear-cleaning I gave myself after panning Payge Turner’s performance last week did any good.

Last week on “The Voice,” the knockout rounds commenced with two artists getting sent home: Casmè for Team John Legend and Ryan Berg for Team Gwen Stefani. That left 26 artists still in the running to win the Season 19 championship, with many more about to be eliminated during Monday’s two-hour episode. Gwen was the only coach to use her last save of the season (on country singer Ben Allen), which meant John, Kelly Clarkson and Blake Shelton still had the power to swoop in and save an at-risk contestant before the all-important live shows. How did Night 2 of the knockouts play out, and what advice did mega mentor Usher give to the remaining artists?
