Roger Nevares is a Mexican actor based in London, United Kingdom, who works in British, Mexican and international films as well as television. He has played drug lord 'Raoul Gomez' in the Emmy-winning British hit Sky/HBO/Cinemax TV series 'Strike Back', Russian low-life Wally in 'North v South', a Spanish Grand Prix Judge in Ron Howard's film 'Rush', Mr Brown in 'Hank Zipzer' and the scene-stealing part of a clueless Portuguese interpreter in the TV Film 'Lawless' directed by Jon Jones (Mr Selfridges); he was also directed by Jones as Ambassador Martinez in 'The Great fire'. - Rogelio 'Roger' Nevares is an actor, acting coach and acting teacher, as well as a film and theatre director. He trained in Moscow, Russia, at the 'Sergei A Gerasimov' University of Cinematography (VGIK) within an MFA Acting course and an Acting Pedagogy post-graduate course.
Throughout a career of twenty years in the UK he has worked as acting teacher and stage director in leading UK performing arts institutions, such as the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and Bournemouth Arts University. His acting school directing credits include 'Cider House Rules,' 'A Prayer for Owen Meany' and 'Napoli Milionaria' at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire; 'Great Expectations' at the Arts University Bournemouth; 'The Scarlet Letter' at Kogan Academy of Dramatic Arts; he has also directed school musical productions and showcases in theatres such as the London Criterion and Bradford Alhambra.
