Chris Brown’s performance at Sunday’s American Music Awards has reportedly been cancelled at the last minute, as TMZ reports.
The singer’s showstopping routine seemingly would have been a tribute to Michael Jackson, however Brown says it was pulled from the upcoming broadcast without explanation.

On Saturday, Brown took to social media to announce the news alongside a lengthy video of his dance rehearsal, in which he is seen performing Mj-inspired moves with a crew of backup dancers to a few of the late singer’s classic hits like “Beat It”, “Billie Jean”, “Wanna Be Starting Something” and “Thriller”. The performance presumably would have celebrated the 40th anniversary of Jackson’s best-selling album Thriller, which includes all four of the songs Brown rehearsed to.
