After playing two-term fictional Potus Fitzgerald “Fitz” Grant III on the hit ABC series Scandal, Tony Goldwyn told President Biden that he has one tip to share ahead of Thursday’s 2024 State of the Unionaddress.
“There was one piece of advice that meant a lot to me when I was president,” said Goldwyn of his years on a White House set when the series ran from 2012-2018. He then pulled out a performance from his days on the Kerry Washington series: “Tell them that you exist for them. Tell them that they make you a better man.”
Goldwyn was joined by four other beloved Hollywood presidents to give Biden advice for the national address, which arrived in video form and was shared by the U.S. president on social media (below).

The video is a preview and promotion for Biden’s State of the Union speech this evening. It was produced by the White House Office of Digital Strategy, and was shot last weekend at Camp David.
“You may’ve heard I’ve got a big speech coming up. So, I thought I would hear from some folks who have done the job before – sort of,” Biden said on X/Twitter.

In August 2001, Kyle Hausmann-Stokes had just graduated from high school and wanted to escape the confines of his native Wisconsin. So he enlisted in the Army. Then 9/11 happened, and the teen would eventually head to Iraq, where he became a paratrooper. As his three-year enlistment was about to end, he was hit with a stop-loss order, an involuntary extension of active duty.
“I’m crushed. I have these big plans to go to film school,” Hausmann-Stokes remembers. “I get a call one night that the colonel wants to see me in his office. I was known throughout the battalion as the film guy. I was always secretly making films of our airborne jumps and our jungle warfare training. The colonel said, ‘I think you might be destined for something different than going to war with us right now. I’ve made arrangements for you and only you to be exempt from this stop-loss.

Written and directed by Jade Halley Bartlett, Miller’s Girl is an erotic thriller starring Jenna Ortega and Martin Freeman. The movie follows the story of a student who embarks on a creative writing journey after her teacher assigns a project which eventually leads to them being involved in a complicated relationship.
As the story moves, the student-teachers are forced to confront their darkest selves while straining to preserve their sense of purpose and the things that they hold close. The movie was released in January 2024 and has been a part of a bigger conversation especially due to the Nsfw scenes involving young actress Jenna Ortega and 52-year-old Martin Freeman.

The documentary 761st Tank Battalion: The Original Black Panthers, featuring Academy Award winner Morgan Freeman, is set to stream on Hulu + Live TV on February 22nd.
Produced by Freeman and Lori McCreary’s Revelations Entertainment, in association with GroupM Motion Entertainment, the documentary tells the true story of the 761st Tank Battalion, the first Black tank unit to serve in combat during WWII, and the major battles they faced both overseas while in combat and back home in the United States.
Better known as the first Black Panthers, this was the only Black tank unit to see combat in World War II. Formed in the spring of 1942, the 761st played a significant role in military operations during the war against Nazi Germany. However, while the majority Black battalion was fighting one battle overseas, they were simultaneously fighting another in their home country – against racism, segregation, and inequality. Despite facing unprecedented adversity,...

Exclusive: Intimacy coordinators could find themselves out of a job if they are indiscreet with the privacy of the filmmakers they work with, SAG-AFTRA says.
Following recent revelations about what went on in the filming of the Jenna Ortega and Martin Freeman-starring Miller’s Girl, the Guild has tightened up its Standards and Protocols for the use of Intimacy Coordinators – especially when it comes to confidentiality. As a part of the stricter measures, any intimacy coordinator who does not adhere to the required standards could potentially be removed from SAG-AFTRA’s registry after an investigation by the Guild, I hear.
“Intimacy coordinators are a crucial resource on any set to ensure the protection of our members working in intimate scenes,” a SAG-AFTRA spokesperson told Deadline today of the new rules. While there could be a reason for an intimacy coordinator to speak off-set about what went on in intimate instances on-set,...
