One of the more successful Disney Channel film franchises was “Cheetah Girls”, in which Raven-Symoné, Sabrina Byran, Adrienne Bailon and Kiely Williams starred as an aspiring pop group.
Howver, in a new interview with “We Said What We Said With Rickey and Denzel”, Bailon revealed that the original cast initially included Solange Knowles, younger sister of Beyoncé.
“I got the role and at the time, I was told that that the other girls that were chosen were Raven-Symoné as Galleria, Sabrina Bryan as Dorinda, myself as Chanel, and Solange as Aqua,” Bailon explained, as reported by Page Six.

Today, a year and a half after her first solo single debuted, rising R&b star Chloë Bailey’s studio album, In Pieces, has been released. In our review, Rolling Stone contributor Mosi Reeves gives Bailey credit for “trying to turn her growing pains into prickly, sometimes enjoyable art” — but also wonders why she chose to share that art with the “scandal-scarred” Chris Brown. In fact, many questioned or outright condemned Bailey’s move to make music with an “abuser.” When Bailey announced his feature on her second single, “How Does It Feel,...

The lawsuit alleging Taylor Swift stole lyrics in her 2014 single, “Shake It Off,” has been dropped just weeks before it was set to go to trial.
According to news reports, a judge dismissed the case Monday following a joint request by lawyers for both Swift and Sean Hall and Nathan Butler, the songwriters who filed the copyright infringement lawsuit. The reasons for the request remain unknown and the filing reportedly did not include mention of a settlement between the parties.
In Memoriam 2022: 100 Great Celebrities Who Died This Year!
Hall and Butler first filed the lawsuit in 2017. The pair wrote the 2000 song “Playas Gon’ Play” by R&b group 3Lw, which included Adrienne Bailon, Kiely Williams and Naturi Naughton. The song features the line, “Playas, they gonna play / And haters, they gonna hate.” The lawsuit argued it was those lines that Swift stole from to arrive at her chorus “the players gonna play,...

The Cheetah Girls starring...Solange Knowles?! It almost happened. While all good Disney Channel Original Movie fans know that the empowering musical film franchise starred Raven-Symoné, Adrienne Bailon, Kiely Williams and Sabrina Bryan as the BFFs-turned-pop stars, it may come as a surprise to learn that Beyoncé's kid sister reportedly came close to making a big splash as Aquanetta "Aqua" Walker. As Sabrina told International Business Times in 2018, "The auditions were long. They auditioned hundreds of girls for the four roles…I went to a couple more callbacks, and then the last and final callback, they had Raven there. She was being brought on as Galleria. And...

Amigas, cheetahs, friends for life?! When it comes to the Cheetah Girls, many will remember the girl group for their Disney Channel original movies and hit songs including "Girl Power" and "Together We Can." But some fans will also know that the group consisting of Adrienne Bailon, Kiely Williams, Sabrina Bryan and Raven-Symoné didn't exactly see eye-to-eye on everything during their time in the spotlight. In a Instagram Live from Thursday night, Kiely and Raven looked back on their childhood drama. At the same time, they revealed that the twosome has made amends and have put the past behind them. "Because of you, I get to talk to you and heal a wound from that time...

Among the 16 contestants that competed on the second season of Fox’s “The Masked Singer” were two “Cheetah Girls”: Adrienne Bailon and Raven-Symoné. But due to the nature of the kooky singing competition, which requires its contestants to peform in head-to-toe costumes until they are eliminated — or win the whole thing — viewers at home didn’t know that both of those “Cheetah” sisters were part of Season 2 until Wednesday night’s finale. And neither did they.
Bailon wasn’t unmasked as The Flamingo until the two-hour episode, during which she came in third-place behind No. 2 contestant Chris Daughtry (The Rottweiler) and winner Wayne Brady (The Fox). However, Raven was revealed to be The Black Widow contestant more than a month ago.

The semi-final stage of the “The Masked Singer” on December 11 sees the five remaining celebrities take to the stage. Two of them will be sent packing. Based on our best guess as to the real identity of the Flamingo, we think that she is likely to make the final. She has proven to be the most versatile of the contestants with his covers of some of the biggest hits of the past decade. The clues she has dropped along the way and her answers to judges Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke make us think we know who is hiding beneath that cumbersome costume.

Cheetah Girl Sabrina Bryan has a new title: Bride. The 34-year-old actress and musical performer married her beau Jordan Lundberg on Saturday. She and the 27-year-old strategic accounts manager tied the knot at Wayne Newton's private residence in Las Vegas, E! News has confirmed. Kiely Williams, who was Bryan's bandmate in the Cheetah Girls musical group and her co-star in the Disney Original Movies of the same name some 15 years ago, served as one of her maids-of-honor—returning the favor, as Bryan had been her maid-of-honor at her wedding in 2016. The Cheetah Girls turns 15! Feeling old yet? The Disney Channel Original Movie was released on August 15, 2003 and starred Raven-Symoné, Adrienne Bailon, Sabrina Bryan and Kiely Williams as members of a teenage amateur all-girls vocal group seeking fame. The film spawned two sequels. In 2015, Raven-Symoné and Adrienne reunited on the the latter star's talk show The Real. When Raven stepped onto the stage, she busted into a throwback dance move that Adrienne used to rock in the Cheetah Girls movies. "Oh my god," Adrienne screamed before getting up and doing it too. A Ten Little Indians-style stab-a-thon starring a predominantly African-American cast seems like a refreshing idea, but writer/director/producer H.M. Coakley's Holla II is for the most part execrable, featuring one-liners like "Assholes come in all colors" and a tendency to abuse extreme close-ups, sometimes while the camera is glaringly out of focus. Wailing amateur actors are thrust into viewers' face so often that Holla II looks like it was shot in someone's dirty rear-view mirror. The plot is unintelligible: Six months after Holla's events, Monica (Kiely Williams) hosts her wedding party at a historic Southern plantation. Monica sheepishly rationalizes her irrational plan by saying she wants to "[turn] something so ugly into something so beautiful." Unfo...

With writer/director H.M. Coakley’s Holla II having premiered last week at L.A.’s Pan African Film Fest, we chatted with the filmmaker regarding release plans for his horror whodunit as well as with one of the film’s stars, Allison Kyler.

Stepping onto the set of writer/director H.M. Coakley’s horror whodunit Hollaback last year on December 18th, the first few things that became readily apparent were the blood trail which serpentined across the wood flooring of the 130-year-old Los Angeles Antebellum mansion (doubling for the deep South) and the flick’s ‘token white chick,’ who came in the form of actress Allison Kyler. The third was the abundance of enthusiasm for the production which was mirrored by cast and crew alike.
Arriving to set on day eleven of fifteen and greeted by Hollaback associate producer and casting director Venk Modur, we conducted the majority of our hushed interviews against the aural backdrop of screams and whimpering as writer and director Coakley led his cast through the film’s scripted carnage.

This is what we call a slow news day. Even for a Sunday. But then a casual glance through The Hollywood Reporter yielded some huge sequel news! The sequel to Stomp the Yard has begun shooting in Atlanta! But the youth market includes more than kids and teens. In today's entertainment industry, 30 is the new 20, and as long as you look and play younger than you are, you could be a part of young Hollywood also. Rumor has it, The Cheetah Girls may split. Noting that "The Cheetah Girls: One World" tour will be the band's last show, Kiely Williams, one of the Cheetah Girls' members, told In Touch Weekly as quoted by 4tnz!, "We always knew that this tour would probably be our last."
Furthermore, Kiely revealed that the break-up decision is resulted from the negative publications surrounding them in the media lately. "We were excited about going out on a high note, it's sad that this negative attention [Adrienne Bailon's nude photos] put a damper on that," she said.
Previously, The Cheetah Girls were dropped from the performers line-up of Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on November 27. "The girls were scheduled to be in the parade and perform, but after Adrienne's recent photo incident, organizers didn't think it would be appropriate to have her at a family-oriented event," a source told Perez Hilton.
