No one said growing up is easy. Beyond peer pressure, raging hormones, and perpetual uncertainty, family loyalty is often a struggle as you prepare to forge your path forward through life. In Momentum Pictures‘ Wildflower trailer, Bea Johnson (Kiernan Shipka) wrestles with remaining close to her neurodivergent parents while deciding her future away from the nest she calls home.
According to the film’s official synopsis, Wildflower is a hilarious, big-hearted celebration of family in all its variety. Shipka stars alongside Dash Mihok, Charlie Plummer, Alexandra Daddario, Brad Garrett, Reid Scott, and Erika Alexander in the coming-of-age film about growing up too fast and slowing down enough to recognize one’s good fortune. In addition to the cast mentioned above, Wildflower introduces Samantha Hyde with Jacki Weaver and Jean Smart.

In just two weeks, on January 26th, the werewolf series Wolf Pack – starring Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s Sarah Michelle Gellar – will be making its premiere on the Paramount+ streaming service. Now Paramount+ has released a trailer for Wolf Pack to let us get an idea of what the show is going to be like. You can check it out in the embed above.
Based on a series of novels written by Edo Van Belkom, Wolf Pack was created by Jeff Davis, developer and executive producer of Teen Wolf, the MTV series inspired by the “awfully good” 1985 Michael J. Fox comedy. This has caused some confusion, especially since Teen Wolf: The Movie is going to be reaching Paramount+ on January 26th as well, making some fans think the two properties might be connected. Davis has said that is not the case. His werewolf shows are separate from each other.

"Teen Wolf" creator Jeff Davis is back with another teen werewolf-centric adaptation, this time in the form of the Paramount+ series "Wolf Pack." The show is based on the book series of the same name by author Edo van Belkom, and will start off by adapting the first novel, also titled "Wolf Pack." When a local teen starts a wildfire, it ends up changing more lives than just their own. Arson investigator Kristin Ramsey (Buffy the Vampire Slayer herself, Sarah Michelle Gellar) is on the hunt, trying to figure out who started the fire and what it might have awakened in the forest. Along the way she will encounter -- and likely work with -- a group of teens who were changed by that night forever.
Despite loving werewolf stories, I never really got into the "Teen Wolf" TV show, probably because I haven't been a teen in well over a decade.

Sarah Michelle Gellar will star in the upcoming “Teen Wolf” spinoff series “Wolf Pack” for Paramount+, and the actress has shared a first look at her character this afternoon.
Sarah Michelle Gellar stars in “Wolf Pack” as arson Investigator Kristin Ramsey, “a highly regarded expert in her field and no stranger to personal loss, who is brought in by authorities to catch the teenage arsonist who started a massive wildfire which may have also led to the reawakening of a supernatural predator terrorizing Los Angeles.”
Check out a first-look below and expect “Wolf Pack” to howl our way in January 2023.
Gellar said during a recent press event, “I’ve been pitched once, twice, 2000 of these [types of shows]. Honestly, at first, I had no intention of saying yes. When I read the script, it was the first time where my interest was so piqued. One of the beauties of Buffy was the sort of metaphorical aspect of it.

As they say here north of the border: Time to drop the puck on the 2022 Toronto Film Festival.
The weather is beautiful, and they’ve cordoned off King Street from the Lightbox to Roy Thomson Hall. People are getting their bearings, most not wearing masks in the open air. This is a sight better than last year, when the cable cars were not rerouted from King Street because so few came for the festivities. Not surprisingly, not a single major deal happened on the ground as the festivals and specialty theatrical business were still feeling the fallout from Covid.
Toronto Film Festival: Deadline’s Complete Coverage
Will this year be any better? Some believe it certainly can’t get worse. Buyers and sellers expect the pace to be on the slow side, with some possible exceptions. I hear that the hot title is one that isn’t officially on the for-sale lists,...

Although “Wolf Pack” revolves around werewolves and is developed for television by Jeff Davis, the series is unconnected to his former MTV series “Teen Wolf” or the upcoming Paramount+ film sequel. The series is instead based on the book series of the same name by Canadian horror author Edo Van Belkom. The show focuses on two teenagers who are caught in a wildfire and are wounded by a supernatural creature. In the aftermath, they discover they’re werewolves, and develop an intense bond together. The two team up, and encounter two other teenagers, the adoptive children of a park ranger, who went through a similar strange wildfire sixteen years ago.
