Five years after the sensational college admission scandal that landed her in federal prison for nearly two months, Lori Loughlin is following up her reemergence on television with her first major magazine interview since she was at the center of the national controversy.
Loughlin, 59, has appeared on the cover of the latest issue of First for Women and, in the accompanying article, she discussed her life in 2024 without directly addressing the scandal.
“Every day, we’re met with different obstacles. But, for me, it’s like that song says, ‘I get knocked down, but I get up again,'” she said. “Nobody said life was going to be a breeze; we all make mistakes, but the important thing is to persevere.”

In Sunday’s episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm, Larry agreed to sponsor Lori Loughlin at his golf club, where the very game Full House actress proceeded to parody her role in the now-infamous Varsity Blues college admissions scandal.

Lori Loughlin cheats at golf and flexes a bogus handicap permit in the latest episode of “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” which features a hilarious cameo from the “Full House” star poking fun at her role in the 2019 college admissions scandal, for which she served a two-month prison sentence.
Loughlin became the face of the Varsity Blues scandal when she and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud after they were accused of paying $500,000 to get their daughters into the University of Southern California, using falsified athletic profiles. Lori Loughlin was the big guest star on Sunday’s episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm — and her participation in the college admissions scandal took center stage.
The March 10 episode kicks off with Ted Danson asking Larry David to help the co-star of his play, who is Loughlin, get into David’s country club. Even though she served prison time for paying $500,000 to get her daughters into USC on false pretenses, Loughlin’s membership is approved after David gives a rousing speech to the club board.
But when David plays golf with the Full House star, she starts to show her true colors. First, she flaunts a special flag that allows her access to the fairway on a carts-only day. She claims that she earned her disabled status by claiming she has Epstein-Barr.
After their round, David sees that Loughlin has a disabled persons plate on her red Porsche.

[This story contains spoilers from the sixth episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm season 12.]
Curb Your Enthusiasm is known for inviting guest actors onto the HBO improv comedy series to play versions of themselves and go toe-to-toe with Larry David’s onscreen persona.
The latest actress to do so was Lori Loughlin, who came on the sixth episode of the 12th and final season to confront her post-college admissions scandal reputation in Hollywood. The setup was that Loughlin, who loves to play golf, was being black-balled from L.A. country clubs due to her role in the 2019 scandal. (Loughlin and husband Mossimo Giannulli were among the high-profile parents charged with paying fixers to get their children into top U.S. universities, nicknamed Operation Varsity Blues by the FBI.)
So Loughlin needs a sponsor, and who better than Larry — someone who has gotten so many second chances himself? “You know I’m a champion of the underdog,” he says.

Years ago, television stars such as Full House‘s Lori Loughlin and Desperate Housewives‘ Felicity Huffman were caught playing a part in a college admissions scandal. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Huffman is breaking her silence for the first time and apologizes for partaking in the fraud in an interview for the Los Angeles-based ABC7 Eyewitness News. Macy, was not found to be involved.

As you'll recall, Loughlin and husband Mossimo Giannulli both pleaded guilty to conspiracy charges for securing admission to the University of Southern California for their two daughters.

John Stamos is speaking about the moment he learned about the infamous college admissions scandal.
In his memoir, If You Would Have Told Me, the actor speaks about the moment he heard of the scandal and how Lori Loughlin, his Full House costar, was involved.
"Lori Loughlin continues to be a cherished friend to this day," John wrote, adding:
"We've weathered storms together and stood by each other's sides despite life's hurdles. We've seen each other at our worst."
Stamos recalled reaching out to Loughlin as the scandal broke, with the Aunt Becky star saying her phone may have been bugged.
"No matter how hard she was hit, how desperate everyone was to cancel her and throw her in with the pile of brutal criminals," John added.
"She stood fast, protecting her daughters from the mud hurled at them day after day after day."
Stamos added his thanks for having such a lifelong friendship.

John Stamos recalls his conversations with Lori Loughlin — over her allegedly tapped phone line — as the 2019 college admissions scandal broke in a new excerpt from the audiobook version of his new memoir, If You Would Have Told Me (out today, Oct. 24).
Taking us all the way back to those halcyon days of March 2019, Stamos recalls first getting a text from a friend about the scandal and Loughlin’s involvement as it was breaking. It was still early in the morning, Stamos says, and there wasn’t much information available, so he called Loughlin himself.

(Updated with U.S. Attorney statement) Almost four years after the FBI swooped in on Felicity Huffman, Lori Loughlin and other well-heeled parents who tried to bribe their kids’ way into elite colleges, the man who masterminded the whole scheme today finally faced justice.
In federal court in Boston this afternoon, Rick Singer was sentenced to three and a half years behind bars and ordered to pay more than 10 million in restitution to the IRS. Having fallen far from his top tier school pathway perch to living in a Florida trailer park for seniors, 62-year old Singer was also ordered Wednesday by Judge Rya W. Zobel to hand over a significant amount of personal assets reaching into more than 5 million.
“I lost my ethical values and have so much to regret,” the once high-flying Key Worldwide Foundation boss said in a brief statement in court today. “To be frank, I am ashamed of myself.

Lori Loughlin hit the red carpet on Wednesday night with the wives of her “Full House” co-stars, honouring the late Bob Saget at a fundraising event.

Lori Loughlin is set for her first romantic comedy for Great American Family, as the When Hope Calls alum will star in Fall Into Winter, premiering in January 2023. It’s the actress’ first major role since playing the part of Abigail Stanton in When Hope Calls Christmas last year, which marked her first acting role since the 2019 college admissions scandal. In August 2020, Loughlin was fined and sentenced to two months in prison after she and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, pled guilty to conspiracy to commit fraud. “Lori is a genre-defining star that I have had the honor to call a close friend and collaborator for more than 15 years,” said Bill Abbott, President and CEO of Great American Media. “We have a shared vision for creating meaningful and memorable movies that resonate with our passionate fans, and I look forward to welcoming her back to Great American Family to anchor our 2023 winter programming slate.

Could Lori Loughlin be following in Olivia Jade‘s footsteps? The influencer is currently competing on “Dancing with the Stars” with Val Chmerkovskiy and does not entirely rule out her mother one day doing the show herself.
“Val has been trying to recruit her,” Jade told Page Six.
“I don’t know how many more seasons I’ve got in me, but I’ll stick around,” Chmerkovskiy said.
“But if Lori comes on, then maybe,” Jade quipped before getting serious. “I don’t know. I haven’t really asked her, like, ‘Would you come on and do the show?’ But I think she’s just proud of me.”

Netflix shines an unflattering light on the infamous college admissions scandal in the first trailer for the upcoming documentary “Operation Varsity Blues.”
The film, using real conversations recreated from FBI wiretaps, delves deep into the 2019 nationwide scandal that gripped the country and saw rich and influential parents buy their kids’ ways into top schools.
The trailer leans heavily into some dramatic irony.
“Is there any risk that this thing blows up in my face?” one parent is heard asking Rick Singer, the mastermind behind the bribery scheme, on the phone. Matthew Modine portrays Singer in the film.
As the documentary highlights, Singer’s schemes included everything from enabling students to cheat on their college admissions tests to building fake athletic profiles (complete with finely photoshopped images) or bribing school officials.
Those methods ultimately put his clients, Hollywood stars like “Full House” actor Lori Loughlin and her fashion designer husband Mossimo Giannulli,...
