The King Who Never Was docuseries serves as a sad reminder of the fragility of life and the devastation that rampant violence may cause!
Things involving the throne are usually dramatic, as shown in Il Principe, also known as The King Who Never Was. When it concerns a documentary series including royalty, it’s always intriguing to watch how their presence makes things seem more complicated than it is.
When you add depth to the combination, you can bet some conspiracy theory will emerge to make everything even more attractive. Docuseries are fantastic for learning about multiple viewpoints on facts and events.

Bones and All is the acclaimed cannibal romance reteaming Luca Guadagnino and Timothée Chalamet following their work together on the Sundance breakout Call Me by Your Name.
The MGM film written by Guadagnino’s regular collaborator David Kajganich —who’d previously penned his features Bigger Splash and Suspiria — is based on the 2015 novel of the same name by Camille DeAngelis. Suspiria remake (watch it Here) director Luca Guadagnino’s horror film / cannibal love story Bones and All has received good reviews – it’s sitting at 82 positive on Rotten Tomatoes, and our own JimmyO gave the film an 8/10 review you can read at This Link. But it’s not the sort of movie that was ever going to set the box office on fire, and it has pulled in just 11 million during its three weeks of release. So it’s no surprise that United Artists will be sending the movie to PVOD on December 13th.
Bones and All is in good company, as IndieWire reports that major awards season contenders The Banshees of Inisherin and The Fabelmans (a box office failure directed by Steven Spielberg) will also be reaching PVOD on the same date.

Update: It looks like United Artists/MGM have decided to capitalize on Bones and All’s successful Fantastic Fest screening with a new extended trailer. While it does feature a little more gore, it comes with a Spoiler Warning caveat. Some Fantastic Fest attendees are calling the trailer out on Twitter for ruining too many of the film’s big moments – so keep that in mind before you check it out. If you’re like me and you want to go in fresh, you might want to give this a skip.

“But you pull on one little thread and already…” Sully adds during a campfire chat amid jump cuts of Lee choking and chopping up people as blood flows and a version of Leonard Cohen’s “You Want It Darker” song plays in the background.

New stills from Luca Guadagnino’s (“Call My By Your Name”) lushly lensed “Bones and All” have been unveiled. The hotly anticipated movie, which stars Timothée Chalamet, Taylor Russell and Michael Stuhlbarg, is slated to world premiere in competition at the Venice Film Festival.
Penned by David Kajganich, the film is an adaptation of the novel “Bones & All” by Camille DeAngelis.
“Bones and All” is a story of first love between Maren, a young woman learning how to survive on the margins of society, and Lee, an intense and disenfranchised drifter. The film charts the road odyssey of two young people coming into their own and searching for identity in a perilous world.
“There is something about the disenfranchised, about people living on the margins of society that I am drawn toward and touched by,” said Guadagnino.
“I love these characters. The heart of the movie is tender and affectionate towards them.

With a second lockdown looming amid a spike in coronavirus cases across Greece, Giorgos Karnavas, of production outfit Heretic, knew it was a race against time to wrap shooting on “Triangle of Sadness,” a satire directed by Oscar nominee and Palme d’Or winner Ruben Östlund.
Production on the Woody Harrelson-starring feature was postponed for three months earlier this year due to Covid-19, and principal photography was underway on the island of Evia and on a yacht in the Ionian sea when bars, restaurants, cinemas, and non-essential stores across this Mediterranean nation were shuttered on Nov. 7 for at least three weeks. (Harrelson, who has already filmed his scenes in Sweden, did not travel to Greece.)
The production team nevertheless received a special permit from the government to continue the shoot, which wraps Nov. 13. “We had the support of multiple Greek authorities during the whole way through,” said Karnavas, who...

As they began preparing “The Trip to Greece,” the fourth installment in Michael Winterbottom’s acclaimed comedy franchise starring Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon, the creative team returned to the time-tested formula that made the previous three chapters so successful: a combination of food, wanderlust and the comedians’ impeccable improv skills.
But with Winterbottom insisting this will be the franchise’s final installment, producer Melissa Parmenter, of Revolution Films, says the decision to re-create the epic journey of Odysseus from Troy to Ithaca in modern-day Greece gave the project added poignancy.

‘Call Me By Your Name’ and ‘Suspiria’ helmer, Luca Guadagnino, has entered into talks with Warner Bros to take over the helm of their ‘Lord of the Flies’ adaptation.
William Golding’s classic 1954 novel focuses on a group of British boys stranded on an uninhabited island and their disastrous attempt to govern themselves during a nuclear war.
Guadagnino and his producing partner Marco Morabito will produce the movie if terms are agreed upon.
Back in 2017, after Warner won the rights to adapt the story, it was widely reported that the story would take on a gender swap approach with Scott McGehee and David Siegel acting as co-directors. The very thought of a male directing team fronting an all-female lead feature led to a major backlash and the idea was subsequently dropped.

Luca Guadagnino's next project will be a new version of William Golding's classic nightmarish novel, Lord of the Flies.
He nailed the coming-of-age genre with Call Me By Your Name, then he veered into the world of horror with Suspiria, a remake of Dario Argento's classic giallo film about a dance academy with a very dark and gruesome secret. There really was no other logical choice then for director Luca Guadagnino than to opt to take on a new adaptation of coming-of-age story turned absolute horror show (and also religious allegory) Lord of the Flies.
According to THR, the director is in talks with Warner Bros. to take on the project, which he would also produce with his producing partner Marco Morabito. Back in 2017, there was talk of adapting William Golding's novel but gender-swapping it so it would focus on a group of school...

Nu Boyana Film Studios, the Bulgarian production hub that’s serviced Hollywood blockbusters like the “Expendables” franchise and the upcoming “Rambo V,” is preparing to break ground on a studio in Thessaloniki, Greece.
