Following Quantum Leap’s cancellation after two seasons, Jeff Bader, President of Program Planning Strategy at NBCUniversal Entertainment, has spoken up about why the show didn’t move to Peacock like it’s network sibling Law & Order: Organized Crime.
“Organized Crime is a Very successful show; this isn’t a show that was on the bubble,” Bader tells TVLine. “It’s a show that works across the board, and it’s very, very strong on streaming. [Moving Season 5 to Peacock] is a win-win for us — 80% of its viewing isn’t in the time period where we schedule it, it’s delayed on Peacock, so...

Ben’s (Raymond Lee) days leaping around in time and into people could be numbered, if the lead that Tom (Peter Gadiot) found at the end of the last Quantum Leap episode goes anywhere. But is that something the team—namely Addison (Caitlin Bassett), who’s the one mostly interacting with him as his hologram—will clue him in on? “That’s always been a really fun thing about this, right?” Bassett tells TV Insider ahead of the NBC drama’s midseason return on January 30 (it moves to Tuesdays at 10/9c). “When to tell him things, how to tell him things. It’s positive news, but I do feel at this juncture, until we know more, I don’t want to get his hopes up. And you’ll see different camps in the show coming up, the tell him versus the not. I get the hesitancy to tell him too early,...

Fortunately, we won’t have to wait long to find out more about how the team can possibly get Ben (Raymond Lee) home. Quantum Leap Season 2 will resume on Tuesday, January 30 at 10/9c on NBC. The two-hour finale is set for February 20, starting at 9/8c. All episodes will be available to stream the next day on Peacock. When Quantum Leap left off with the eighth episode in December, Ben had reconnected with Hannah (Eliza Taylor), whom he’d seen on multiple leaps and knew who he was, and shared as romantic a time as they could have. Meanwhile, back in the present, Addison (Caitlin Bassett) found a ring and just as she thought Tom (Peter Gadiot) was going to propose, he instead revealed that something was found on a fragment of a hard drive of the discontinued ...

Could Ben actually return home? That’s the question many have been asking since Quantum Leap’s midseason finale on Dec. 13.
In the episode, titled “Nomads,” Tom (played by Peter Gadiot) came back from his impromptu trip to Washington, D.C., with a giant file that he said contained a “way to bring Ben home.” The intel was recovered from a fragment of a hard drive from the discontinued Darpa project. Hell, yeah. If we're on the hook for a months-long hiatus while production resumes, Quantum Leap Season 2 Episode 8 is exactly the note you want to hit with the midseason finale.
Exciting. Satisfying. Tantalizing.
Showrunners, take note: Sending your cast and crew to Egypt not only creates immense authenticity, it showcases your performers' talent and script strength. Gold star to all y'all!
Having Addison back in the holo-guide role fools us into thinking that we're veering back toward Quantum Leap Season 1's status quo when, in fact, Ben's comment about not being in Kansas anymore is applicable across the board.
Office romances are always awkward when the intimacy ends, but the working relationship continues. Kudos to Ben and Addison for trying to make it work despite the bonkers transformation their life together has undergone.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Quantum Leap Season 2 Episode 8 “Nomad.”] Is Ben (Raymond Lee) finally going to be able to come home? There’s hope at the end of the latest episode of Quantum Leap. Just as Addison (Caitlin Bassett) thinks Tom (Peter Gadiot) is about to propose (she found a ring), he instead reveals that something was found on a fragment of a hard drive of the discontinued Darpa project: a way to bring Ben home. TV Insider spoke with those who star as the Quantum Leap project’s team members — Ernie Hudson (Magic), Mason Alexander Park (Ian), and Nanrisa Lee (Jenn) — to find out how they feel about that (can they trust it?) and more. Tom tells Addison that there may be a way to bring Ben home, but given that the team has been trying to figure out a way to do just that, and now, sure they like Tom, but this...

There's a market for nostalgia, and NBC's cashed in big with its newest hit, Quantum Leap.
The 2022 revival of the popular 1980s Scott Bakula-anchored time travel series came in like a quantum accelerator, throwing everything and everyone into the mix.
While maintaining some temporal continuity with the original series, the new Quantum Leap introduced viewers to the team behind the project rather than just the leaper and his guide.
What is Quantum Leap about?
The initial twelve-episode order was quickly upped to a full eighteen-episode season, and the leaps got wilder as Dr. Ben Song (Raymond Lee) slowly regained his memories of why he took his unauthorized leap in the first place.
Guided by his workmate and fiancée, Addison (Caitlin Bassett), he managed to survive each leap into various individuals facing moments of crisis that would change their lives and the future.
In turn, Addison relied on the Q.

What’s important here, I think, is that it’s a delayed sequel. One that came a decade later, after other stories. Everything else flows out from there: this is not the next thing, but a later thing.
Pop Gun War, Vol. 2: Chain Letter was collected in 2017, from material that mostly appeared in Island magazine the previous three years. I was confused by the notation in the app where I read it (Hoopla) that it collected issues 4, 5, 10, 14, and 15, as if those were the issues of Pop Gun War – those are the places this appeared in Island.
It’s more Farel Dalrymple, vague drifting stories that take Sff adventure story tropes – often deliberately as if conceptualized by children – and mix them with a vaguely existential strew of ennui, angst, and confusion. There are plots, sort of, of a kind, but they start aimlessly, run for a while, and then get abandoned.

Jeremy Allen White‘s on the prowl. Just over a week after sharing a Pda moment with his estranged wife, the actor has been spotted kissing and hugging an actress-model in Los Angeles.
TMZ obtained photos and video of the steamy moment. Jeremy, who portrays the award-winning chef Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto in Hulu’s “The Bear”, can be seen getting up close and personal with model-actress Ashley Moore. Jeremy’s seen wearing a polka dot shirt, baggy jeans, hat and white sneakers while she sports black tights and a cropped hoodie.
In one photo they both look downright serious while she holds her drink during their Saturday stroll. But she’s also seen smiling while they chit chat in a patio. Movies and TV shows regularly come and go from streaming services; we all know this, but the trend has taken a disturbing turn in the past year, with content being pulled, sometimes permanently, just to save a few bucks. I know, it’s just business, but for the hundreds of creatives who have had their hard-work yanked from existence, it hurts. Disney+ has taken things to a new level as they have pulled Crater from the service, a movie which was released on May 12th… less than two months ago.
There’s no official word on why Crater was removed from Disney+, but The Independent believes that it’s “an attempt to cut costs relating to licencing deals.” The decision has sparked an outcry on social media, with some wondering why they’re paying for the service that can’t even keep their own content.

Addison Timlin — the estranged wife of “The Bear” star Jeremy Allen White — is getting real about the challenges of raising kids alone in an emotional, candid and inspiring Mother’s Day post.
Timlin, 31, took to Instagram on Sunday to share a slideshow of snapshots of herself and her two daughters — Ezer, 4, and Dolores, 2 — whom she shares with her ex.
“Being a single mom is not how I pictured it,” Timlin wrote in the caption. “It is so f**king hard. It is all out covered in s**t crying on the floor kick you in the shins screaming with no sound coming out hard. It’s not the natural order of things.”
Timlin explained that the life of a single mom can be “exhausting” and, even more so, “lonely” — particularly when “something magical happens and you have to tell yourself “don’t forget this” because there’s no witness by your side.

The biggest strength of Crater has to be its final ten minutes, which feel like savoring a great dessert after what was a decent meal at best. To a great extent, it feels like a silly attempt at a Stranger Things recreation in a different setting, especially the way the five main characters are written. Sure, kids are all the same, but these five are an awful lot like Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas, and Max. There is no Eleven, though, and no demogorgon mind flayer stuff, either. For a movie that is set entirely on the moon, the villains here are rather wordly: class struggle, capitalism, and the exploitation of the poor.
But seamlessly integrating all these in the narrative of a Disney movie, whose target audience is mainly kids and teenagers, is a herculean task. And the movie couldn’t exactly pull off Oscar Martinez explaining “what does surplus...

Actor Jeremy Allen White’s wife has filed for divorce after more than three years of marriage. Actress Addison Timlin filed the request for legal separation from ‘The Bear and Shameless’ star in Los Angeles, reports Mirror.co.uk.
The pair have been married since October 2019, when they tied the knot at the Beverly Hills courthouse. They share two daughters together, Ezer and Dolores.
As per Mirror.co.uk, while the reason for their split remains unclear, it comes just four months after Jeremy paid tribute to his wife when he accepted a Golden Globe award.
Addison and Jeremy are thought to have met when they were just teenagers after both working on the 2008 film ‘Afterschool’.
Mirror.co.uk further states that their friendship is thought to have then blossomed into a romance around 2013.
At the time, Addison told Harper’s Bazaar: “I’ve got a sweetheart who I will not disclose,...

A bunch of nosy kids get into trouble looking for things they shouldn’t be in Disney’s latest sci-fi adventure film Crater. Directed by Kyle Patrick Alvarez and written by John Griffin, the film follows five friends as they travel to a moon crater to find treasure in the 23rd century.
The film starts with Caleb (Isaiah Russll-Bailey), Addison (Mckenna Grace), Dylan (Billy Barratt), Borney (Orson Hong), and Marcus (Thomas James Boyce III) trying to hijack a space rover in the middle of a lockdown due to an oncoming meteor shower. As the group argues why their plan isn’t working, Caleb thinks about how his deceased father, Michael (played by Scott Mescudi). In the wake of his Dad’s death he finds he’s been chosen to go to Omega—an off-moon paradise and home of the wealthy. He doesn’t want to go and leave his friends,...

With schools finishing up for their big Summer break many of those kids are dreaming of getting away for a while. How about the ultimate “getaway” from …the planet? It’s not that wild of a fantasy, as this new Disney+ adventure flick offers a look at a colony, almost a small city, on the moon, our big destination for over 50 years now. But how do the kids living up there take a break from the indoors (with plenty of oxygen)? Well, for the five kids in this story, they’re itching to sneak away for a fun frolic at a nearby (it’s not really a walk) Crater.
When the film begins, those kids are sneaking around the transport bay under the dome of an underground lunar colony in the not-too-distant future. The loudspeakers are blaring out an alert that a meteor shower is imminent so everyone needs to...

Within the first four minutes of Disney+ Original film “Crater,” we already have a cavalcade of movie tropes to contend with: dead parents, spaceships, and a 72-hour ticking clock for one newly-orphaned tween to say farewell to his friend group. At least we know Disney hasn’t shied away from its classic storylines.
Part “Guardians of the Galaxy” and part “Goonies” with a dash of “Outer Banks,” “Crater” centers on Caleb Channing (a well-cast Isaiah Russell-Bailey), who was raised on a lunar mining colony by his single dad (Scott “Kid Cudi” Mescudi). After the death of his father, Caleb becomes a ward of the state, poised to reap the “death benefits” from his father’s work contract with the colony. As part of said benefits, Caleb is supposed to be put in a cryosleep and transported to distant planet Omega, which takes 75 years to reach.

Some straight-to-streaming offerings inspire viewers to bemoan the movie’s fate, wishing it had received a proper theatrical release — to be seen the way movies are meant to be seen, and by the widest audience possible. “Crater” isn’t one of those, but neither is this Disney+ original mere algorithm-created dross. Kyle Patrick Alvarez’s lunar adventure follows five young friends as they hijack a rover to visit an enigmatic crater for one last hurrah before one of them leaves the moon forever. It’s sci-fi informed by a Gen-z sensibility, with a particular focus on those Zoomers who can’t imagine a bright future on the planet they actually inhabit — an ever-expanding demographic, one imagines.
The teens of 2257 dress and speak remarkably like those of today, perhaps because those who’ve grown up on the unnamed lunar colony have an unstuck-in-time quality — a result of their home environment having...

The aptly titled Gunpowder and Lead had so many things that make this series great, and it was an enthralling ride from beginning to end.
They've found their niche this season, and installments like Grey's Anatomy Season 19 Episode 16 showcase that well,
The hour had the perfect blend of storylines for the interns and more familiar characters, cases you're invested in through and through, and personal drama that stirs up an array of emotions.
Grey's has unapologetically come in hot with these topical issues, making their messages known about this Roe v. Wade decision, pro-choice, and gun violence.
It doesn't get more topical than mass shootings, especially since we've recently had more than our share of notable ones. The fact that the series could take the risk of knowing that there'd probably be a handful by the time this installment airs speaks volumes about the epidemic that we're in with this.

Sedatives, stat! Thursday’s Grey’s Anatomy was an anxiety-inducing affair that found the pressure on Bailey mounting. And yes, apparently, it could get higher! Devi Vishwakumar is back for one more round of misadventures, as Netflix has just announced a release date for "Never Have I Ever" season 4. The fourth season of the high school-set comedy is poised to be its last, and while we're not quite ready to say goodbye to these vibrant weirdos and their not-finished-cooking teen brains yet, the final episodes look like a lot of fun.
Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher's Netflix comedy about a group of high school geeks led by horny, adventure-seeking Devi (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) has been lauded from its first season for its surprisingly poignant examination of grief and stereotype-bucking Indian-American representation. Across its three seasons, the show has gone to some deep places (the death of Devi's father influences both her best and worst choices) and some deeply funny ones, and while the latest teaser only offers a small taste of what's to come, it...

Whew, what a plot twist!!
Outside of the fun shenanigans that involved an underrated trio that I had no idea we needed this much in Bailey, Ben, and Carina, most of Station 19 Season 6 Episode 13 was just okay.
But then they threw that Eli and Travis plot twist at us, and that's how you get a girl's attention. Oh, this mess is delectable.
The strongest aspect of the hour was Carina and Bailey teaming up to go to an agenda-pushing facility posing as a women's health clinic.
This season, it feels as if Station 19 and Grey's Anatomy have finally figured out how to work together and have cohesive storylines that interconnect.
Grey's Anatomy has been on one in tackling the attack on women's rights and healthcare, and they haven't stayed off the necks of those in opposition.
It's made for a very socially conscious season that, for once, doesn't feel overtly preachy or performative.

Oh, I am a serious sucker for good plot architecture, and Quantum Leap Season 1 Episode 18 is a shining capstone on this inaugural pyramid of adventure.
And while the practical application of the law of entanglement may leave us feeling a little more metaphysical than we're used to, top marks for historically time-stamping 2018 Ian's solitary spiral with his immersion in the remastered version of Bandai Namco's Dark Souls.
Hands down, the most delightful twist is taking the classic fight montage trope and turning it into a montage of fights that span all the contexts in which Martinez and Ben's leaps intersected. Brilliant stuff.
The show's writers have had fun since Day One, playing with various pop culture references.
They've tipped their hat to The A-Team, Back to the Future, and Crimson Tide.

Quantum Leap Episode 18
If it’s answers we’ve been waiting for, then the Quantum Leap season finale delivers exactly what we wanted and then some.
Dr. Ben Song’s (Raymond Lee) “Judgment Day” leap begins in the distant future. An elderly Dr. Ian Wright (Mason Alexander Park) has been waiting a “very long time” for Ben and even had trouble finding another person for Ben to leap into. At the end of the previous episode, it wasn’t clear that Ben leaped into another person because Ian recognizes Ben right away, so there was speculation that Ben leaped into the future as himself. How could Ian be so certain it’s Ben they’re talking to? This is our first clue that future Ian has figured out ways to control the leaps that were heretofore unknown. Ian expects Ben to arrive at that moment,...

We got the most satisfying conclusion we could've hoped for with the final part of the two-part event.
It was a relief to see that by the end of Grey's Anatomy Season 19 Episode 12, Tia and her baby survived. Despite a dislocated shoulder, Addison returned to the road with renewed determination and Can-Do.
And it was a shining hour that touched on many couples, including Station 19's Ben and Maya checking in with their wives and that carrying over from Station 19 Season 6 Episode 12 providing nice character moments, and potentially introducing new storylines.
The momentum from Grey's Anatomy Season 19 Episode 11 didn't let up and rolled over nicely into this hour. As most speculated and suspected, Addison didn't get seriously injured.
She managed to walk away from that incident with a dislocated shoulder that quickly forced Link to set before she jumped right into assisting poor Tia, who took the brunt of everything.

It’s the second part of Grey’s Anatomy’s two-episode event, and Addison (Kate Walsh) and another physician have gone from doctors to patients in Season 19, Episode 12, March 30’s “Pick Yourself Up.” [Warning: The below contains major spoilers for the Grey’s Anatomy Season 19, Episode 12, “Pick Yourself Up.”] Of the two, Tia (Jess Gabor) is in worse shape after being hit by the car driven by an anti-abortion hit-and-runner. Tia is 28 weeks pregnant, and now she’s bleeding out through her abdomen. Grey Sloan’s doctors swing into action, even Addison, who’s battling through a dislocated shoulder after being clipped by the car. The docs give Tia an emergency C-section, delivering baby Connor prematurely. Addison and Griffith (Alexis Floyd) take Connor to the Nicu. Griffith is a little awe-struck by that environment, since once upon a time, she was delivered at Grey Sloan and spent some of her first moments in the Nicu herself. Meanwhile, Bailey (Chandra Wilson) ...
