- Ruth Cohen was born on January 28, 1930 in Bronx, New York City, New York, USA. She was an actress, known for Seinfeld (1989), V.I.P. (1998) and Life Among the Cannibals (1999). She died on August 23, 2008 in Panorama City, California, USA.
- Ruth ended up the most frequent character on Seinfeld (1989) besides the main four, due to the fact that she was present in basically every scene at Monks diner from the season 4 opening episode until the end, although not always seen on camera, depending on what camera angles were used in the diner. She however only received on-screen credits two times, when she had a couple of lines of dialogue during the last seasons (three times in total). She finally ended up visible in 101 episodes.
