Welcome to this week’s review of Nxt, right here on Nerdly. Let’s get straight into it and see what went down in this episode…
Match #1: Michin def. Tatum Paxley The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Michin is one step closer to making history as she defeated Tatum Paxley in a Women’s Nxt North American Championship Qualifying Match. Before the bell could even ring, both Superstars battled it out as Paxley tried to grab the newly unveiled title from the grasp of rapper Sexyy Red, and Michin didn’t take kindly to the disrespect. Michin looked as impressive as ever as she hit a huge dive to the outside as well as a devastating pounce, but the resilient Paxley absorbed every big shot and came just seconds away from winning the match herself. The two Superstars matched each other’s energy, but a perfect counter from...

Welcome back to another review of Aew Dark: Elevation, which this week keeps the match count low, with only 7 matches on this week’s show – the last Elevation of 2022! We’ve got Paul Wight on commentary, so let’s get into the review.
Match #1: Nyla Rose and Marina Shafir def. Leva Bates and Karizma
My Thoughts: This felt very much like Nyla Rose and Marina Shafir going through the motions, as if this was either put together at the last minute or the duo were off their game – which is odd given how good they’ve been together recently. Still, a squash is a squash.
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Julia Hart def. Promise Braxton
My Thoughts: Julia Hart gets another singles match and it’s another quick squash match to help build Hart into the kind of monster she needs to be as part of the House of Black.

Welcome back to another review of Aew Dark: Elevation, this is a special (and short) bonus episode in the build-up to Roh: Final Battle 2022. We’ve got Tony Schiavone, Paul Wight, and Matt Menard on commentary [again], so let’s get into the review.
Match #1: The Kingdom (Matt Taven and Mike Bennett) def. Sal Muscat and Ativalu
My Thoughts: Roh stalwarts The Kingdom get a pre-ppv warm-up match. Well, I say warm-up match but you can’t really warm anything up when you’re squashing your opponents in a quick match, can you? I don’t know what it is about The Kingdom but the team really doesn’t resonate with me at all… Though Nerdly’s Kev is a big fan, so there’s that!
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Athena def. Madi Wrenkowski

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew Dark: Elevation, we’re back to Paul Wight and Mark Henry on commentary (with Excalibur thankfully joining them) but a bigger 9-match card this week… but still only running around 45 mins again? Let’s get right into the review and the action!
Match #1: Lee Moriarty def. Serpentico
My Thoughts: Nice to see Serpentico back in singles action and nice to Not hear too much from Luther in his corner. As I’ve said before, Serpentico is great as a singles competitor though he had some really stiff competition in Lee Moriarty, whose skill and Taiga style eventually got the better of his opponent.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Abadon def. Danni Bee
My Thoughts: Another squash match for Abadon, this time against a debuting Danni Bee. As I said last week, seeing Abadon obliterate her opponents in a solid squash is so satisfying!

It’s Monday morning, so you know what that means… it’s time for our review of Friday night’s episode of Aew: Rampage, which emanated from the Heb Center in Cedar Park, Texas.. We’ve got another 4-match show, set’s get right into it!
Match #1: Dustin Rhodes def. Lance Archer The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Archer walked through the tunnel and onto the ramp carrying one of Dustin Rhodes’ students from the Rhodes Wrestling Academy, about to inflict some pain. Thankfully Dustin wasn’t far behind and knocked the student free from Archer’s grasp. Dustin and Archer brawled ringside. “The Natural” grabbed Dan Lambert and was going to piledrive him on the arena floor when Archer came to Lambert’s aid. Once the bell rang, Archer clubbed Dustin with forearms. Archer tore off the turnbuckle pad, exposing the buckle. Dustin clotheslined Archer over the top rope.

Welcome to this weeks reviwe of Aew Dark: Elevation. It’s another short show this week, which is good considering how busy Christmas week is – plus it helps out with general wresting fatigue given how much there is to watch each and every week! Anyway, let’s get into the review.
Match #1: Nyla Rose, Emi Sakura and The Bunny def. Jessica James, Gigi Rey and Lady Bird Monroe
My Thoughts: When Nyla Rose and co. got their intro I though “okay, another womens trios match, we;’ve had some good ones on Dark and Elevation so far” but then… Their competitors were already in the ring! Yes, we’re in squash match territory here – with James, Rey and Monroe only here to take a beating. Welcome to a special bonus episode and review of Aew Dark: Elevation, the fourth of Five All Elite Wrestling shows this week… It’s all part of the build to tonights Rampage. And you know what? Unlike that other promotion, watching this many episodes a week has not been boring or monotonous! Bring on Rampage I say!
Match #1: Santana & Ortiz def. Warren Johnson & Zack Mason
My Thoughts: Johnson & Mason got one move in before Santana & Ortiz took this match over and showed just why they’re considered one of the best tag teams in the business.
My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: Nyla Rose def. Steff Mk
My Thoughts: This was a typical Nyla Rose squash match with a neat gimmick from the Mk twins – with Steff rolling out to be replaced by her “fresh” sister Ashley. Props to both Mk sisters for at least not lying down and taking a beating!

Welcome to this weeks review of Aew Dark: Elevation, I’m editor Phil and we’ve got a packed 13-match card this week. Let’s get to it!
Match #1: Jungle Boy def. Marq Quen
My Thoughts: This was a fantastically well-balanced match. Quen looked better than he has since joining the Hfo – a singles match really showed his athletic skills. Skills that were matched by Jungle Boy and then some. And for once the interference from both Hfo and Jurassic Express actually made sense in terms of the match!
My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Yuka Sakazaki def. Amber Nova
My Thoughts: Amber Nova looked good here, again probably the best she has since debuting on Aew. I guess it helps when you’re facing a great opponent. Unfortunately Nova wasted time again with her “mechanic” gimmick instead of getting a pin. The crowd was definitely behind Yuka, with...

Hello and welcome to this weeks review of Aew: Dark… Didn’t Tony Khan saw one of the tow “Dark” shows was going to change now they’re back on the road? Doesn’t look like it to me. In fact it looks like we’re back to overly-long, overly-average episodes of Dark and Elevation. See for yourself:
Match #1: Matt Hardy def. Jah-c
My Thoughts: As usual Matt hardy looks clumsy throughout this match, with Jah-c making him look even slower than usual with his fast-pace, quick-footed style. Oh, and don’t get me started on the stupid f**king degradation of new Hfo member Jora Johl… its toally f**king embarassing and Imho shouldn’t be on TV in 2021.
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Brian Cage def. Foxx Vinyer

Welcome to this week’s column of The Last Week In Wrestling, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have Mr. Rogers here with us. Mr. Rogers: Hello my television neighbor. I wanted to talk to you about violence. When people watch violence, that doesn’t make them violent. Violence is wanting to be violent and then choosing to be violent. When you watch wrestling, you are watching it because you want to watch wrestling. Watching wrestling doesn’t always have a meaning besides wanting to watch wrestling. Wrestling can be fun, but we should always remember that wrestling can hurt the people that do it, because it is violent. When wrestlers get hurt, that’s not your fault. However, you should always try to empathize with them when they are in pain. Mr. Robinson: Hello boys and girls! I’m in pain listening to this old-ass...

Welcome to this weeks 90+ minutes of action (thats what it says on YouTube) on Aew: Dark. I don’t know what to expect this week given that Aew: Dynamite is moving to Friday nights for the forseeable – do we get more of the same, or can we expect some changes given the sweeping changes coming to Aew’s future? let’s find out…
Match #1: Nick Comoroto def. Duke Davis
My Thoughts: This match was over faster than the blink of an eye. Yet again Comoroto’s entrance, and the messing around with the ring steps, was longer than the actual match. What a waste of Comororto’s talent.
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Aaron Solow def. Ganon Jones
My Thoughts: This match was almost over as quick as Solow’s Nightmare Factory team mates. The only hihgliht here was Taz’s rib on commentary that he’d mever seen a pedigree before!

Another week, another episode of Aew Dark: Elevation – the first of this weeks Aew programmes and usually a good indicator of what we can expect from Aew booking this week. Lets check it out!
Match #1: Lee Johnson def. David Ali
My Thoughts: This was a great match-up between two great wrestlers. Lee Johnson got the rub from this match, furthering his push in Aew. Though Ali looked good in defeat too.
My Score: 1.5 out of 5 Match #2: Eddie Kingston def. Vsk
My Thoughts: Another great pairing. Kingston did his usual thing, with a great delayed suplex; but this was no squash! Vsk was given time to showcase his skills even if you knew he was never going to win.
My Score: 1.5 out of 5 Match #3: Scorpio Sky & Ethan Page def. Fuego Del Sol and Baron Black
My Thoughts: Black and Del Sol have been killing it on Sammy Guevara...

Another week, another epsiode of Aew Dark: Elevation – a show which, I think, is still finding its feet. Hopefully. seriously, there has to be some plan to make this differ from regular Dark in future but for now let’s see what’s in store this week.
Match #1: Miro def. Will Allday
My Thoughts: Yes, we all knew this was a squash going into this match but there’s just something about Miro showing of his sheer power, and in this case hatred, that is fun to watch. Plus Will Allday, who’s lost all 3 of his Aew matches so far, always looks good… even in defeat
My Score: 1.5 out of 5 Match #2: Abadon def. Ryo Mizunami
My Thoughts: Finally Abadon had some decent competition in Ryo Mizunami. The two seemed pretty evenly matched and it was nice to see Abadon get more TV time in an actual match...

Welcome to this weeks review of Aew Dark: Elevation, the seventh episode of a show that has, honestly, varied wildy in quality… and length. Let’s see shat this weeks episode has to offer!
Match #1: Ray Fenix def. Chuck Taylor
My Thoughts: Ray Fenix is bloody good isn’t he? Somehow he seems to pull out new moves almost each and every week. Here it was a nasty leg/rope tie up on Chuck Taylor that looked really aggressive – as was a lot of this match. This was very much mat and submission wrestling rather than high-flying crazy stuff, yet with just enough flair to make this a “Ray Fenix” match. Gotta love the recent addition of Alex Abrahantes on the mic for Penta and Fenix too!
My Score: 3.5 out of 5 Match #2: Ryan Nemeth def. Ryzin
My Thoughts: Fresh of his engorged member escapades on Being the Elite,...

Welcome to this weeks episode of Aew Dark: Elevation, Aew’s third “programme” of wrestling (but not the extra TV programme we’re still due on TNT apparently) that so far hasn’t done much to elevate it (pun intended) apart from its namesake on Tuesday nights… Though given the recent set of releases elsewhere, Aew made need this extra show to fit in all the new wrestlers they’ll likely pick up!
Match #1: Hangman Page def. Spencer Slade
My Thoughts: A squash if ever I saw one, this at lest gave us more of Spencer Slade, who last week was the butt of a joke about the headgear from the Aew commentary team but who, this week, I learned wears the headgear because he’s deaf. Remarkable that Slade has found a way to do what he loves; honestly inspiring Imho.
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Britt Baker def.

Welcome to this weeks review of Aew: Dark which, after a ridiculously long Elevation this week, is a breezy 90 minute show. Thank god. Like the show, let’s keep this review short and sweet too and get straight to it!
Match #1: Scu def. Jay Lyon & Midas Black
My thoughts: Lyon and Black got destroyed by Ftr on Elevation and now get destroyed by Scu on Dark… Though they did get some weird circus-esque manoeuvres in on Kazarian and Daniels. Though Wtf that move was I have no idea.
My score: 1.5 out of 5 Match #2: Matt Sydal vs. Luther
My thoughts: Luther and his third eye versus Matt Sydal and his third eye. Seems like a match made in heaven… Though I really did miss Kuther throwing Serpentico around the ring like a lawn dart. Ultimately this was a pretty decent match, even if Luther constantly looked gassed.

Welcome to this weeks review of Aew: Dark which, like its namesake Elevation, is a shorter show this week. Thank god. Like the show, let’s keep this review short and sweet too – let’s go!
Match #1: Dark Order def. Jake St. Patrick, Sage Scott, & Chandler Hopkins
My Thoughts: Godammit, Evil Uno and Stu Grayson are good, aren’t they? They made this look easy, ebbig and flowing, tagging in and out, destroying the team of St. Patrick, Scott and Hopkins. Throw Reynolds in the mix and you have. tremendous trios team! Hell, throw Any Drak Order member in with Uno and Grayson and you have a damn good Trios team! Short and sweet.
My score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Team Taz def. Brick Aldridge, Justin Law, & Hayden Backlund
My Thoughts: A Backlund… on Aew? Ok, so Hayden might only be a distant relation of the legendary Bob Backlund but still.
