- The only thing I'm serious about is comedy. And coffee.
- Making art relieves stress and anxiety ... Unless it's your job.
- The only thing I'm serious about is art. And coffee.
- I am addicted to music. I don't go out without my headphones; I never work in silence and I love listening to vinyls on Sunday nights. And I play guitar and ukulele. Music makes the good times better and the sad ones bearable.
- For me, there has always been something 'charming' about everyday life... about its imperfection. Staged photos, like sophisticated portraits taken in a perfectly lit studio, never really appealed to me. Life takes place outside, with all its beauty and cruelty, with all the chaos that I need to create and exist. When I take a picture in the streets, it's to capture the moments, the places and the people who bear witness to them.
- As I often say, the perfection of this world consists in its imperfection. I never leave my apartment wanting to take a perfect picture. In fact, I never have any concrete idea in mind. I go out, I walk around, I look around me and take pictures of what seems to be worth it. There is nothing deep or philosophical behind these pictures; they have nothing in common... except my obsession with Vespas.
- If photography is a year-round activity, drawing and writing have always been winter activities for me. It's a way to compensate for the fact that there is less light outside and it's too cold for me to wander for hours with my camera.
- After all, portraits reveal as much about the subject as they do about the photographer. One simply cannot take a bad photo of someone they love and who loves them.
