Frankie Dettori has been banned from competitive horse racing for six months. The jockey failed a drugs test in France for a prohibited substance in September and today (December 5) received his punishment from the racing authorities. A statement via Dettori's solicitor Christopher Stewart-Moore read: "France Galop have today announced their finding Frankie Dettori has committed a breach of their rules relating to prohibited substances "I have spoken to Frankie since the announcement was made and he has told me he fully accepts France Galop's decision. "He also accepts that he has let down the sport he loves and all those associated with it, as well as the wider public. Avoid Glastonbury, a Star Trek convention, any film with a II, III or IV in the title and the London Marathon
✒I was touched by the story about the woman who, on turning 60, decided to do 60 things she had never done before. Some were simple, such as tackling a sudoku, others more tricky, like getting on to Eggheads. But it struck me that what would be really helpful would be a guide to 60 things not to do before you die. I can think of plenty.
Go to Glastonbury. Why? Middle-class people wading through mud, looking at Bono, of all people, performing 200 yards away. And stinking loos. No thanks. Or a Star Trek convention. Please!
Buy a ticket for any film with a II, III or IV in the title, with the exceptions of Godfather II, or The Madness of George IV.
Queue overnight to get into Wimbledon and see half...

Now that Britney Spears has announced that she will be releasing a new album in March 2011, fans must be wondering what her latest musical endeavor will sound like. The as-yet-untitled effort is a follow-up to 2008's well-received Circus, which helped resurrect the singer's career after a dark time in her life. No information regarding the upcoming album has emerged, but Britney's faithful followers have watched her change up her look and sound with each single over the span of her decade-plus career, as she evolved from a bubblegum-pop princess to a sexy dance-club siren. In addition to his tweet, the "One Time" hitmaker also posted a picture of him goofing around with the "Gamer" actor during the video shoot. In the picture, Bieber, clothed in purple T-shirt, was playfully strangled by Ludacris, whose real name is Christopher Bridges.
