Could Invincible be getting more seasons on Prime Video? According to Skybound Republic, an investment/crowdfunding site that allows fans to invest in the label, more episodes of the ultra-violent comic book action series are coming. In a since-deleted portion of the webpage, the site said Invincible Season 3 is in production, while the show had been renewed for Seasons 4 and 5. The webpage promotes a video game set in the Invincible universe, which fans can help fund. The crowdfunded project sits at $442,700 as of this posting, with 14 days to go in the campaign.
A portion of the mission statement for the campaign describes why making a video based on a licensed property causes some problems:
“Most crowdfunded video games are centered around indie games, and retail investors rarely have the opportunity to get in on the ground floor of Aaa game publishers. Skybound is developing a highly produced, high-octane blood bath that is anything but indie.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the Invincible Season 2 finale.] In classic Invincible fashion, the April 4 Season 2 finale featured a whole lot of blood, guts, and shocking twists — along with setting up a host of other issues for Mark (Steven Yeun), Nolan (J.K. Simmons), the Guardians of the Globe, and more to tackle in Season 3. Between the ferocity of Mark’s take-down of dimension-hopping baddie Angstrom Levy (Sterling K. Brown), a burgeoning relationship between Mark and Atom Eve (Gillian Jacobs), the beginning of a redemption arc for Nolan, and much, much more, there’s undoubtedly a lot to chew on here for fans of the show and comics alike. However, this jam-packed episode still found time to close a chapter of Mark and Co.’s journeys, while also opening the door to a new one, or, as Angstrom’s abilities foreshadow, many new chapters. Below, co-showrunner Simon Racioppa outlines the reasoning behind some of the finale’s biggest ...

It appears Ezra Miller was quietly recast as mad scientist D.A. Sinclair in Season 2 of Prime Video’s Invincible.
Miller voiced the character in one episode in the first season of the adult animated series, but when Sinclair appeared in the March 28th episode, the character was voiced by Eric Bauza.
Deadline has reached out to Prime Video for comment.
Miller, embattled star of The Flash and Fantastic Beasts, has been embroiled in multiple scandals. Last year, they pleaded guilty to unlawful trespassing in a burglary case in Vermont after cutting a plea deal ahead of the hearing. In 2022, Miller agreed to mental health treatment after a string of run-ins with the law.

The final half of “Invincible” is nearly here, and Prime Video has released the first trailer for the bloody finale to Season 2.
Season 2 Part 2, which consists of four episodes, begins streaming on Prime Video on March 14 and will release each episode weekly.
Part 1 released back in November and ended on several cliffhangers, with Invincible, aka Mark Grayson, bumping into his father Omni-Man, who tried to kill him in the Season 1 finale, on an alien planet. The tense reunion got even more awkward when Omni-Man revealed he had fathered a child with one of the insectoid alien members. Together, Invincible and Omni-Man barely defeated three Viltrumite attackers, who took Omni-Man back to their base and ordered Invincible to prepare Earth for takeover.
The Season 2 Part 2 trailer teases even more bloody, limb-snapping, intergalactic action. Invincible returns to space and must handle an invasion from the mind-controlling, parasitic aliens seen in the first season.

In an interview with The Direct, Invincible co-showrunner and producer Simon Racioppa discussed the show's gory and R-rated elements and their role in the show's storytelling.
Brutal blood and gore are easily associated with the TV-ma-rated series — even down to its Season 1 title card. In each episode, as Mark Grayson's life got scarier and the story built up more, the logo became splattered with more blood.
By Season 2, the violence has only been amped up even more, something that has proved to be a controversial move among a contingent of the fanbase. Though the series is synonymous with brutal action scenes, some viewers feel that the second season's violence is a bit too overused and unnecessary.

Invincible producer and co-showrunner Simon Racioppa spoke about Amber's character development from Season 1 to Season 2, particularly following the backlash the character received.
When Invincible's Season 1 was released, fans criticized changes made to Amber from the source comics. Aside from a change to Amber's race from white to Black, the adaptation saw a shift in her personality.
Show Amber is more blunt and stiff than she is in the comics, with some even calling her selfish, manipulative, or toxic. While there is nothing inherently wrong with being those first two descriptors, and it is incredibly important to have flawed female characters, some fans found it off-putting in the larger context of Amber's race change.

Now that season 2 of his Prime Video superhero series has a Nov. 3 release date, Invincible creator Robert Kirkman admits that he’s going to miss all the poking and prodding.
“I’m ready for people to stop yelling at me about (the wait for season 2). But I’m also so appreciative of people ‘yelling’ at me for the last seven years. It’s great to see that people are invested,” he tells Den of Geek during his appearance at our San Diego Comic-Con studio.
Kirkman is mostly joking – it hasn’t actually been seven years since Invincible season 1’s finale premiered in April 2021. But given the explosive conclusion to the first season of the series based on Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley’s beloved 144-issue comic of the same name, fans could be forgiven for feeling like it’s been nearly a decade all the same.

Los Angeles, July 22 (Ians) The popular American animated superhero series ‘Invincible’ has just released the teaser trailer for its upcoming Season 2. The teaser takes place in the aftermath of Invincible’s brutal confrontation with his father, Omni-Man in the finale of Season 1.
It’s mostly just a reel to hype up the massive star-studded voice cast, without much in the way of actual footage leaving things pretty obscure.
Based on the Robert Kirkman graphic novels of the same name, the series revolves around teenager Mark Grayson as he develops superpowers akin to his father, the world’s most powerful hero Omni-Man, only to eventually learn of a dark secret behind his father’s past while dealing with his own powers. After all, ‘With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility’, it may be an overused line in Spiderman, but is applicable for all supers and even in real life.

He may be invincible, but he sure isn’t speedy. Almost two years after its March 2021 premiere, the Amazon Prime Video animated series “Invincible” announced that it will premiere its second season…during a vague “late 2023” window.
The news was accompanied by an announcement teaser, featuring main protagonist Mark (voiced by Steven Yeun) and Allen the Alien (Seth Rogen) dining at a burger joint, where Allen lampoons the long wait between seasons.
“What have you been up to? It’s been a while,” Rogen quips as Allen. “I think everyone agrees it’s been, like, a little ridiculous how long it’s been.”
“I’ve been busy writing, designing, storyboarding, voice acting, key posing, in-betweening, cleaning up, color slapping, comping the whole thing, and all that for, you know, roughly thousands of shots,” Yeun replies. “So, it’s kind of a lot.”

The Boys supervillain Homelander is just as maniacally insecure in short-form animation as he is in live-action.
In 2021, after two seasons of critical acclaim and a season two Emmy nomination for outstanding drama series, Amazon Prime Video expanded the world of The Boys, its no-holds-barred satire of superhero storytelling and modern-day America. And in March 2022, the second addition to the Boys shared universe, The Boys Presents: Diabolical, premiered with eight animated shorts, each utilizing anthology storytelling and a unique animation style.

As “The Boys” Season 3 finale debuts Friday, showrunner Eric Kripke and his writers are already hard at work writing Season 4, while Tara Butters and Michele Fazekas are reaching the halfway point in filming its untitled spinoff series.
As creator of Amazon Prime Video’s adaptation of Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson comic book series, which he produces alongside Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, Kripke is taking point on juggling the storylines throughout the Vought Cinematic Universe, a.k.a the Vcu. That currently includes “The Boys,” its animated anthology series “The Boys Presents: Diabolical,” showrun by Simon Racioppa, and the Butters and Fazekas-led superhero college spinoff.
“The spinoff is almost halfway through shooting already. I think the overall goal is to start leapfrogging them, where, a series of months after ‘The Boys’ wraps, Season 1 of the spinoff will drop,” Kripke told Variety ahead of “The Boys” Season 3 finale. “And then...

When Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg asked Simon Racioppa if he was interested in creating a spinoff of The Boys, he jumped at the chance. The timeline was tight, less than a year to create eight episodes, but Racioppa was up for the challenge.
The Boys Presents: Diabolical is an Amazon Prime animated anthology series taking place in the universe of The Boys. The episode up for Emmy consideration “John and Sun-Hee” is written by Andy Samberg and directed by Steve Ahn. On a more serious note than some of the others, this episode follows John (Randall Duk Kim), a janitor at Vought, who steals a vial of Compound V in the hopes of saving his dying wife Sun-Hee (Youn Yuh-jung).
Each episode has a different writer, director, and style of animation to fit with the story, which Racioppa says didn’t seem like the smart choice at the time.

When reaching out to people to try and get them to write episodes for the anthology, having someone like Rogen ended up being invaluable. “It kind of helps when you have Seth Rogen making these calls for you. Spoiler Alert: Do not read if you have not watched “One Plus One Equals Two,” the finale of the first season of “The Boys Presents: Diabolical.”
Amazon’s animated anthology “The Boys Presents: Diabolical” launched Friday, just under two months out for the third season premiere of its parent series, “The Boys.” While the majority of the bite-size shorts that make up the adult cartoon’s first season serve mainly as “a bloody amuse-bouche for Season 3” of the Og show, per “The Boys” showrunner Eric Kripke, there are pieces of the third-season plot that will be served up straight from the delicious chaos in “Diabolical.”
First, there’s the finale episode, titled “One Plus One Equals Two,” written by “Diabolical” showrunner Simon Racioppa, which centers on Homelander’s introduction into the Supes of the Seven and the bond he forged with Black Noir (played by Nathan Mitchell on “The Boys...

Seth Rogen & Evan Goldberg and Looney Tunes; Andy Samberg and Korean drama; Aisha Tyler and romantic anime.
These are pairings that may not immediately seem obvious, but in the new animated anthology series “The Boys Presents: Diabolical,” they’re a delightful reality.
Rogen and Goldberg, Samberg, Tyler, Awkwafina, Justin Roiland, Garth Ennis and others wrote the episodes that make up this new show, all eight of which are now streaming on Amazon Prime Video, but “Diabolical” is far more than just an extension of the “The Boys” franchise – it’s a showcase for the unique creative voices of those involved. And for extremely graphic and gory cartoons.
Each of the eight episodes stands alone and has its own writer, director, animation studio and even score. They’re all distinct, so while binge-watching “Diabolical” you get a “Looney Tunes” riff followed by an episode straight out of “Rick and Morty” (aptly...

Spoiler Alert: Do not read if you have not watched “Laser Baby’s Day Out,” the first episode of Amazon Prime Video’s “The Boys Presents: Diabolical.”
Longtime buddies and producing partners Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg have been “obsessed” with Buster Keaton and Jackie Chan for the past few years, and the idea of “doing something that had no words, no dialogue and purely physical humor.” Enter the offshoot of “The Boys,” which they executive produce, Amazon’s animated shorts anthology series, “The Boys Presents: Diabolical,” which launched Friday with all eight-episodes: the first being the Rogen and Goldberg-written “Laser Baby’s Day Out.”
“We’d been messing around with some live-action movie ideas,” Goldberg told Variety. “And then when the idea to make the ‘Diabolical’ show came around, we were like, this is perfect. And then we kind of ripped off ‘Baby’s Day Out.'”
Rogen added:...

The irreverent world of Amazon’s smash-hit superhero series The Boys is getting bigger, as new animated anthology show Diabolical highlights tales of various unsuspecting people affected by Vought’s Compound V serum, including everyone’s favorite maniacal Supe, Homelander. Invincible showrunner Simon Racioppa spearheaded the ambitious eight-episode series, where every installment boasts its own animation style and eye-popping talent.
“We had a cast of incredibly talented people, who we just let do their thing,” Racioppa says. “We trusted them, and they gave that trust back with incredible work. Everybody gave 110%. I can’t speak highly enough about the crew, our directors and designers, our cast, animators, and everyone on our post-production team. Everybody just came together to get this done.”
Awkwafina, Kumail Nanjiani, Justin Roiland, Andy Samberg, Michael Cera, Don Cheadle, Kieran Culkin, Giancarlo Esposito, Ben Schwartz, Kevin Smith, Simon Pegg, Christian Slater, and Aisha Tyler are just some...
