“Woke” has been canceled by Hulu, Variety has confirmed.
The series aired its second season on the streaming platform in April. The comedy series had originally premiered on Hulu in Sept. 2020. Both seasons consisted of eight episodes each.
Inspired by the life of artist Keith Knight, “Woke” starred Lamorne Morris as Keef, a Black cartoonist on the verge of mainstream success when an unexpected incident changed everything. With a newfound consciousness, Keef navigated the new voices and ideas challenging him, all without setting aflame to everything he’d already built. The series combimed live-action with animated sequences, with Keef seeing and hearing inanimate objects talking to him as he becomes more aware of racism in his everyday life. Along with Morris, “Woke” also starred T. Murph, Blake Anderson, Sasheer Zamata and Rose McIver.

Kristen Bell is helping high school performers relive their glory days!
The 37-year-old actress' new ABC special, Encore!, will reunite a group of former classmates to recreate a performance of their old musical theater production -- and Et has your first look!
The show will see a cast come together after 20 years to reprise their roles in their original high school production of Into the Woods. They will only have seven days to remember their lines, their choreography and take the stage. The memories, the rehearsals and the labor -- literally, in the case of one pregnant performer -- will all be documented leading up to their on-stage "encore."
"We are into the weeds," one cast member says in Et's exclusive sneak peek, while another one tells the camera, "Help us!"
Bell also serves as executive producer on the show, alongside creator and executive producer Jason Cohen and EPs Alycia Rossiter, Will Gluck, Richard Schwartz, [link...

Comedy Central has cancelled the Moonbeam City TV series after its first season. The animated cop show parody was not listed among yesterday's announced renewals. Per Deadline, that is because Comedy Central has decided to pass on ordering a second season. The first 10-episode season premiered September 16, 2015. The first season and TV series finale episode, "The Wedding of Rad (Lie)," pictured above, aired December 9th.
Despite the cancellation, the voice cast of Moonbeam City won't be out of work, for long. It includes such big names as Rob Lowe, Elizabeth Banks, Kate Mara, and Will Forte. Moonbeam City was created and executive produced by Scott Gairdner, and executive produced by Olive Bridge Entertainment’s Will Gluck and Richard Schwartz. Aside from starring, Lowe also served...

It follows undercover detective Dazzle Novak (Lowe), a handsome idiot who commits more crimes than most criminals. His tyrannical chief, Pizzaz Miller (Banks), won’t get off his back, and hotshot rookie Rad Cunningham (Forte) is dying to see him fail. Simpler, always-on wireless connections will make gadgets cheaper and make the Web ala carte.
Despondent geeks and over-taxed laptops litter venues all over Austin, Texas, where Wifi connections at SXSW have been crippled by the crowds. But next year's gadgets might not be so defenseless.
In the coming months, consumers will begin to see a new generation of cheap, portable gadgets capable of "protecting their own connectivity," says Richard Schwartz, president and CEO of a year-old company called Macheen. Schwartz's venture-backed startup makes white-label software that computer-makers use to create Kindle-like connectivity out of the box. Simple, yes. But the solution also has some weird implications for the web.
"Amazon's Kindle has really been an eye-opener," says Schwartz, whose Austin-based company works with major manufacturers to build devices that are "hot out of the box," or ready to connect to the Web as soon as they're powered on. Macheen's first partner,...

I sent an e-mail the other day that was one of the hardest things I've ever had to write. It was to Jim Palmer and Maura Clare at the Conference on World Affairs in Boulder. I told them I wouldn't be coming back this spring. I sent it, and stared into space, and was flooded with sadness.
I don't intend to write here about the Conference, which has allowed me to live more than nine months of my life in Boulder, one week at a time. I wrote about Cwa in a 2009 blog entry titled the Leisure of the Theory Class. I need not tell you again about Howard Higman or Daddy Bruce Jr.
You will have to take my word that the week at the University of Colorado every spring was a lodestone of my life. A week of talking, listening and learning. It was at Boulder in 1975 that...
