Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League launched to huge fanfare but failed to keep the momentum going. Soon, the game was ridiculed by fans because of its bland storyline and failure to integrate various fan-favorite elements properly. ]
With the release of the much-awaited Joker in the game, Rocksteady Studios had hoped to salvage its flailing player counts. But underdeveloped content and grinding or paying to get the Joker made players lose interest pretty soon. In spite of experiencing an initial surge in number, the peak player count soon dropped below 1000.
Joker Fails To Save the Suicide Squad Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League‘s Joker is a new, unique take on the character.
After Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League‘s lackluster beginnings, everybody hoped Joker would turn the franchise around. With the player count at an all-time low, the release of Joker did not go as planned by Rocksteady Studios.

Despite the harsh reviews that the game has received on release, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League still plans to go full throttle into its Season 1 events, missions, and characters. The clown prince of crime is the first fully playable character that will be available in the game post-launch. Recently, we just got more details about this version of the clown prince of crime’s origins and history of villainy.
In our interview with Jp Karliak, the voice behind Mr. J, he detailed what makes this version different from others, such as Mark Hamil’s famous Arkham interpretation of the character. Obviously, since the developers behind this game also happen to be the masterminds behind the Arkham series, there are comparisons being made by fans.
Nonetheless, the voice behind the character assures that this is a completely different and new take on DC’s and Batman’s most infamous villain.

[Editor’s note: The following article contains spoilers for “The Batman.”]
Matt Reeves’ “The Batman” hit theaters March 4, and while Robert Pattinson stunned as Bruce Wayne, we still have a few questions that the World’s Greatest Detective didn’t quite clear up.
Pattinson certainly left his stamp on the famed DC superhero, following in the footsteps (most notably) of Christian Bale, Ben Affleck, George Clooney, Val Kilmer, and Michael Keaton’s respective takes on the Caped Crusader. Co-written and directed by Reeves, “The Batman” admittedly is a “sad movie,” per star Pattinson.
“It’s kind of about him trying to find some element of hope, in himself, and not just the city. Normally, Bruce never questions his own ability; he questions the city’s ability to change,” Pattinson told GQ. “But I mean, it’s kind of such an insane thing to do: ‘The only way I can live is to dress up as a bat.'”

"The Batman" is a film that feels both fresh and familiar. We're introduced to characters and places we know well and asked to reconsider them in different contexts. Case in point: for the first time in a live-action Batman film, we learn more about the Arkhams. Even those only casually familiar with all-things-Batman will no doubt know the name Arkham — Arkham Asylum is the place where most of Batman's deranged villains get locked up, and there's an entire series of Batman video games with "Arkham" in the title.
But up until now, Arkham has mostly been a name. "The Batman" changes that.
Warning: spoilers follow for "The Batman."

Batman: A Death in the Family is one of the most consequential Batman comic book arcs ever published, showing the second Robin, Jason Todd, having a famously nasty encounter with a crowbar-wielding Joker.
The guilt that the Dark Knight felt went on to heavily inform his character across all media, with the events of the comic being obliquely referenced in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and the backstory of the Arkham Knight video game. A Death in the Family also became the origin of the Red Hood, who’s now a firm fixture in the Batman mythos and got his own animated feature in 2010’s Batman: Under the Red Hood.
That 1988 arc will soon be retold by DC Animation via Batman: Death in the Family, which appears to rework and update the original story. Key differences are that the Jason Todd we see in this clip is older than...

The premiere of HBO’s new sci-fi period drama, Lovecraft Country, adds a disturbing new dimension to the phrase “sundown town.”
The term traditionally has referred to all-white communities where Blacks are not safe — and in many cases, outright banned — after dark. Lovecraft Country‘s protagonist, Atticus Freeman (played by When We Rise‘s Jonathan Majors) drives through several of them in the HBO drama’s first episode, enduring inhumane taunts and outright attempts on his life in the process.

Batwoman is back with its first new episode in almost a month!
Alice and Kate are doing some sisterly bonding over a video game and are a little too friendly with each other until we learn it’s not real and is actually Alice’s fantasy in her mind. The origin of this fantasy is a result of a few sadistic doctors doing tests on patients in the basement of Arkham Asylum. This will not end well for the doctors.
After the torture session, Mouse and Alice are together in group therapy but so is a returning Thomas Elliot, aka Hush! Elliot is still obsessed with Bruce Wayne as he shouts out fun facts about Wayne (he can speak 40 languages!), but once Alice mocks him, Elliot returns to his villainous roots...

This week is filled with good news and bad news.
God Friended Me comes to an early end on CBS, and When Calls the Heart airs its finale without another season waiting in the wings, but Blindspot returns for its final season, too, and from what we know, it's finished and will get a satisfactory ending.
Premiering this week are Hollywood on Netflix, Upload on Amazon Prime (so fun!) and a special one-time-only reunion from Parks and Rec for charity.
Saturday, April 25
8/7c Bad Education (HBO)
This movie starring Hugh Jackman and Allison Janney is a darkly comedic look at a real-life embezzlement scandal at New York' Roslyn School District.
Jackman and Janney are terrific as always, and you won't go wrong tuning in for this well-reviewed feature.
9/8c Matchmaker Mysteries: A Fatal Romance (Hallmark/Hmm)
Danica McKellar is back as matchmaker and amateur sleuth Angie Dove!

It’s always nice when a small time villain like The Joker gets his own spotlight issue. Hidden away as he is by DC, it would be nice to see him get some exposure….said no one ever. Let’s be honest, especially at the moment, you just cannot escape The Joker. Be it in comics, or on screen, including The Joker movie, TV shows like Gotham, and animated movies like Killing Joke. He’s a one man industry. But why? Was is it about The Joker that taps into the human psyche and interests us so. Is it a repressed hatred of our fellow humans? A chance to stick it to the man? anarchic rebellion? Truth is, I think, all those things. The Joker is such a malleable character,...
