With news that Geena Davis will reprise her role on “Grey’s Anatomy” before the season’s over, TheWrap takes a look back at other stars with roles on the longstanding medical drama.
Kyle Chandler
Honestly, who could forget Coach Taylor’s appearance on “Grey’s Anatomy” as bomb squad leader Dylan Young? Chandler appeared in Seasons 2 and 3 — he guested on “Grey’s” the same year that “Friday Night Lights” debuted on NBC.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan
Long before he was wielding a bat in the apocalypse, Jeffrey Dean Morgan played one of “Grey’s Anatomy”‘s most tragic and beloved figures. Denny Duquette was the love interest to Izzy Stevens (Katherine Heigl) in Season 2, and their relationship inspired the interns to perform a questionable procedure on Denny’s heart.
Scott Foley
Shondaland fans will recognize this face from another ABC drama. But before he played the sexy Jake Ballard on “Scandal,” Foley played Henry Burton, a dying patient without insurance who Teddy (Kim Raver) ends up marrying so he could have surgery.
Sarah Paulson
The “American Crime Story” star plays Meredith’s mother Dr. Ellis Grey in a flashback episode in Season 6, “The Time Warp.” The episode reveals more about Ellis’ relationship with Dr. Richard Webber.
Faye Dunaway
The “Network” star had a guest spot in Season 5 of “Grey’s Anatomy” as Dr. Margaret Campbell, one of the original surgeons at the hospital who comes back to help with a surgery.
Demi Lovato
The pop star made an appearance on “Grey’s Anatomy” during her “Sonny With A Chance” days as Hayley May in a guest role during Season 6.
Mandy Moore
Now one of the stars of “This Is Us,” Mandy Moore guest-starred in one of the most-talked about episodes in “Grey’s” history. She played a pregnant patient in the active shooter episodes in Season 6.
Elizabeth Moss
The “Mad Men” star had a guest role in Season 3 of “Grey’s” as Nina Rogerson, the daughter of a patient.
Zach Gilford
Kyle Chandler isn’t the only “Friday Night Lights” alum to make an appearance on the ABC medical drama. Zach Gilford popped up in Season 5 as a soldier trying to get in healthy enough condition to return to the field.
Leslie Odom, Jr.
The “Hamilton” star, Grammy winner and Tony nominee made an appearance on the silver screen way back in Season 5. He played P.J. Walling, a participant in a domino surgery.

It's a sad state of affairs when the combination of Castle and Beckett stops being fun to watch...
This review contains spoilers.
8.5 The Nose
One of the things that we heard going into this week’s episode, The Nose, was that it was going to be a return to the early more campy days of Castle. Now, I’m not exactly sure what that means, since campiness is a quality that is pretty evenly distributed throughout the series. In fact, way back in the day, before the series really found its legs (letting Fillion fully be Fillion) and it was just another stereotypical procedural with a tough-as-nails female detective and her less by-the-book partner, most of the camp was relegated to the ridiculousness of the premise, rather than a major driver of episode plots.
But I digress…
The point is, camp is as much of the show...

The Originals season 2 is drowning in villains, but is the real big bad now on the horizon?
This review contains spoilers.
2.15 They All Asked For You
The introduction of body-switching on The Originals always had to be more than a mere convenience for the audience to buy into it. Yes, it's handy to be able to keep characters like Rebekah around even when Claire Holt is perusing other projects, or to have the option of recasting previously dull characters like Finn, but it would have been a complete waste if the show hadn't also woven its ramifications into the narrative.
This week we saw that happen with the revelation that Rebekah's new body is actually that of Eva St. Claire – child murderer and general bad guy. This leaves her with several dilemmas, not least of which is the apparent night-time excursions she's apparently been unaware of since she body-jumped.

"The Amazing Race" giveth and "The Amazing Race" taketh away. Following a season that saw ratings drop on Fridays, "The Amazing Race" got a special Wednesday showcase after the "Survivor: Worlds Apart" premiere and with both long-running favorites instituting format twists this season, CBS was able to spare 90 minutes apiece for the two launches. Longtime readers know that I'm pretty insistent that you need to have at least a 90-minute premiere for "The Amazing Race," because the effort to establish 11 teams of 22 players while also giving the necessary exposure to navigating around international locations and for various challenges is almost impossible in only 60 minutes. I don't think "The Amazing Race" has ever had an entirely satisfying hour-long premiere. And the 90 minutes given to Wednesday's (February 25) "Amazing Race" premiere were enough to help me see some of the merit to the Blind Dating twist that gave us six teams of established couples,...

So it has finally come. We endured another Saturday with no Doctor Who.
While the latest series finale has polarized audiences, with most either calling it the best or worst episode of the series, we are all eager to see what the 50th anniversary special has in store for us.
Except of course, that we don’t get it until the 23rd of November. But cease crying! For your benefit, we’ve compiled eight different ways to pass the time until November! So read on to learn of several different ways you can get your Doctor Who fix until then!
Honourable Mention – WhatCulture Articles
Alright, I’m going to start off with a plug. Doctor Who is a favorite subject of ours (along with Star Trek, James Bond, and arguing about whether we love or hate Christopher Nolan), and frequently the Doctor Who-related assignments get snatched up faster than anything else.

Is a wolf about to ruffle the feathers of The Vampire Diaries lovebirds Tyler and Caroline?
The Secret Circle‘s Phoebe Tonkin shows up in Mystic Falls this Thursday (The CW, 8/7c) as Hayley, a werewolf who helped Tyler free himself from Klaus’ mental chains. As a result, she and the hybrid have shared quite the traumatic experience, which might spell trouble for Tyler’s current romance.

“Hayley is a little bit of a threat to that relationship because she has a history with Tyler,” says Tonkin.

Demi Lovato fans, get ready to see the Disney Channel star as you've never seen her before.
The 17-year-old isn't singing a happy tune on Thursday's (May 13) "Grey's Anatomy" episode "Shiny Happy People."
In the pictures Zap2it posted previously, it's apparent that damage has been done around her eyes -- scratches or abrasions. Now this clip gives us more info about why her character, a teenager named Hayley May, is at Seattle Grace.
Her possible savior is Karev (Justin Chambers), who we really do hope can help her out. We don't like to see Demi all desperate and depressed like that. Aww, teenagers should be happy-go-lucky and dating people like Joe Jonas.
Check out the drama:
Pretty intense stuff, right?
