In more ways than one, "She-Hulk: Attorney At Law" is a rarity when it comes to Marvel's Disney+ shows: for one thing, it's more of a legal sitcom than an action-packed superhero saga. Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany) is battling career politics, her own insecurities, and the terrible realities of online dating more often than she's facing down supervillains, which is a big part of what makes her nine-episode series feel so refreshing. Other than Deadpool (who doesn't really count yet) Jen is also the first hero in the franchise to break the fourth wall, getting extremely creative when it comes to her meta-narrative.
By far my favorite way that Jen's story stands apart is its ability to skirt past the trap that so many of the other MCU entries have fallen into: getting so wrapped up in the connective tissue that it loses sight of its core. "She-Hulk" is very...

This post contains spoilers for She-Hulk Attorney at Law Episode 7
When it comes to comic book adaptations, the devil is in the details. So when Netflix debuted a live-action version of Daredevil in 2015, fans were thrilled to see a hard-edged take on the street-level hero. Between that show’s shocking violence and Charlie Cox’s soulful performance as the charming, but conflicted Matt Murdock, Daredevil’s 2003 big-screen misfire was all but forgotten. However, concerns bubbled up again in the long runup between Cox’s cameo as Murdock in Spider-Man: No Way Home and his in-costume return in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Many wondered how the more family-friendly MCU would handle the action, and how the universe’s self-deprecating humor would play with such a brooding character.
Turns out, it worked pretty good! She-Hulk episode seven “Ribbit and Rip It” proved to be a highlight of the series, even winning over...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for She-Hulk Season 1, Episode 8, “Ribbit and Rip It.”] She-Hulk: Attorney at Law made way for the long-awaited guest appearance of Charlie Cox‘s Matt Murdock, a.k.a. Daredevil, in the latest installment, “Ribbit and Rip It.” The episode saw Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany) represent Leap-Frog (Brandon Stanley) in court after his super suit malfunctioned. The case puts her in an awkward position because it means having to participate in litigation against her tailor and designer Luke Jacobson (Griffin Matthews), who also made Leap-Frog’s outfit. As they arrive in court, Jennifer believes it will be an open and shut case when Luke appears to have no representation until Matt Murdock walks in. The lawyer uses his heightened ability to determine Leap-Frog was using the wrong fuel in his suit, resulting in injury. For this reason, the case is thrown out, but it sparks an immediate attraction between Jen and Matt,...

The man without fear is back! Fans have known for months that Daredevil, aka Matt Murdock, would be entering the MCU and that Charlie Cox, who played the character in the Netflix "Daredevil" series, would be reprising the role. Cox already made one brief cameo as the character in "Spider-Man: No Way Home," but he made his biggest entrance yet into the MCU in "She-Hulk" episode eight. The character's appearance in the the new series was first teased in a trailer back in July, and then again with an Easter egg in episode five.
During the fifth episode, which aired Sept. 15 on Disney+, Jennifer Walters, aka She-Hulk (Tatiana Maslany), goes to try on her new suits, made by superhero fashion expert Luke Jacobson (Griffin Matthews). Luke was hesitant to work with her since she's not quite an A-list hero yet, but was moved by her specific plight: She-Hulk is so big,...

This article contains spoilers for Marvel’s She-Hulk: Attorney at Law episode 8
Ever since the first trailer for Jessica Gao’s She-Hulk: Attorney at Law came out, there’s one talking point that’s been dominating the conversation. In fact, ever since Netflix cancelled the last of its Defenders shows in 2019, there’s been talk about when Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Punisher, and all the rest will be superhero landing into the mainline Marvel Cinematic Universe.
When it comes to She-Hulk, the trailer didn’t bother wasting our time by trying to hide Matt Murdock like Spider-Man: No Way Home did. Still, after a tantalising tease at the end of episode 5, we were more than a little bummed it took another three weeks before we got Daredevil’s introduction. The return of Charlie Cox’s Man Without Fear was music to our ears (quite literally) in the latest episode of She-Hulk,...

It’s not easy being green. That goes double if you’re hoping to land the part of one of Marvel‘s most obscure characters, Leap-Frog! In a new She-Hulk promo, members of the cast audition for the role of a character comic book nerds like me have been dying to meet. While Leap-Frog might not be impressive at first glance, including him in the series adds to the show’s D-List cache and overall appeal. Not every Marvel character in the MCU needs to be a heavy hitter. I would leap at the chance for a Disney+ series revolving around a group of misfit characters, like the Superior Foes of Spider-Man, or the Illuminati.
In the new She-Hulk promo, Tatiana Maslany, Ginger Gonzaga, and Mark Ruffalo audition for the part of Leap-Frog, a character capable of jumping very high. In addition to the stars mentioned above, Kermit the Frog...
