A Spanish police officer’s life is about to turn upside down as she infiltrates a dangerous lion’s den in the exclusive new teaser trailer for Arantxa Echevarría’s upcoming crime thriller “Undercover.” The film arrives in Spanish cinemas on Oct. 11 courtesy of Beta Fiction Spain.
“Undercover” is based on the real-life story of Aranzazu Berradre Marín, the pseudonym for the only police officer in Spanish history to infiltrate the terrorist organisation Eta successfully. The Basque nationalist separatist group killed over 829 people between 1968 and 2010 and injured over 22,000 until its dissolution in 2018.
The film, written by Echevarría and Amèlia Mora, takes place over the eight-year period when Marín was infiltrated and focuses on the mind-shattering fear of discovery that permeated her days during the mission.
The Goya-winning “Carmen and Lola” director reunites with Carolina Yuste, who stars as the undercover agent and plays alongside three-time Goya-winning actor Luis Tosar.

If you're Dominican, chances are you're familiar with morir soñando, a simple but refreshingly crisp batida (milkshake) made with milk, orange juice, and vanilla extract. As simple as the three-ingredient drink seems, there's a reason it's given such a poetic name. "Morir soñando" translates as "to die dreaming," and after just one sip, one instantly feels like they've been transported into a dream - even if just for a matter of seconds. That was exactly the feeling Dominican American comedians and real-life besties Sasha Merci and Glorelys Mora, who both grew up in uptown (Merci specfically in the Bronx), wanted audiences to feel when they created their first all-Dominican comedy show back in 2019. On Monday, Nov. 6, the Morir Soñando show took over the historic United Palace, formerly Loew's 175th Street Theatre, in Washington Heights. It was the first show in the New York Comedy Festival to include an all-Dominican lineup,...

Recently, the masterminds behind reggaeton's biggest stars and hitmakers have been coming into their own as artists. Last year, music producer Dímelo Flow released his debut album, "Always Dream." In June, producer Tainy also dropped his debut album, "Data." And now, Sky Rompiendo (real name Alejandro Ramírez Suárez) - one of the most in-demand Latin music producers of the past decade and the genius behind artists like J Balvin, Karol G, Maluma, and Feid - is shifting his focus from working behind the scenes to creating his own record. It's a move that has been long in the making, but for Rompiendo, the timing has been everything.
"I was inspired by all these producers like Pharrell, Timbaland, and Scott Storch - that whole movement of them eventually putting their faces up front and being more present in the scene versus not just always being behind the scenes," Rompiendo tells Popsugar.

Moving through diverse genres like reggaetón, R&b, trap, and house music in their hits, Latin Mafia's limitless pop is connecting with its growing fan base in an organic way that major labels can only dream of.

The Vietnam War is a glaring black spot on the timeline of American history. The monstrous stupidity of going to war against a country so far away and an enemy so foreign is multiplied innumerable times when you consider the fact that the lives of so many promising young men were lost, all for abstract ideological supremacy. Mark Burman’s film Ambush echoes exactly this sentiment, all the while emphasizing the brutal hierarchy that emerges during wartime and the consequent devaluation of human lives. Starring Aaron Eckhart, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, and Connor Paolo, Ambush is set in 1966 Vietnam, where, after the Viet Cong attack an American camp and get hold of a top-secret binder, a group of young, expendable engineers is sent into an underground tunnel system to retrieve the document within a window of two hours.

Shazam! is back. Well, really, he never left. DC has made the character and much of his supporting cast a regular presence in the comics over the last few years, bolstered in no small part by the success of his first big screen outing in 2018. But most of the classic character’s comics adventures in recent years have felt like something of a mirror of his live action ones, a sensible decision for a publisher that’s trying to position its characters for broad audiences, but Shazam hasn’t really felt quite as much like, well, his old self in recent years.
But that’s all changed with Mark Waid and Dan Mora’s Shazam! #1 from DC. If ever there was a perfect example of an entry-level comic book adventure for folks who have been meaning to get a sense of why the character has endured for nearly as long as Superman,...

Whenever Natti Natasha gets the chance to go out, she relives her past “years of intense partying.” On Thursday, the Dominican singer released her single “Algarete” alongside a steamy new video, which was released independently on her website.
“It’s a song that I dedicate to those who, although they no longer have the same opportunity to go out like before, when they do, they have the chance to relive their years of intense partying,” Natasha says. “With this track, the nights in Paris really inspired me and you can...

For Laura Mora, whose visceral and poetic drama “The Kings of the World” represents Colombia at the Oscars, shooting in the region of Bajo de Cauca was an act of defiance.
“I was warned not to shoot there, that it was the most dangerous part of Colombia,” she recalls, adding: “Instead we only came across people who were open, generous and kind.”
“Making a fictional film protected us too as they probably would not have been so welcoming of documentary filmmakers or journalists,” she muses. The production took care to involve communities wherever they stopped, like a gypsy caravan, through villages and towns.
Winning the top awards at San Sebastian and Zurich in the space of just a few days and Mora’s second pic after her breakout hit “Killing Jesus,” “The Kings of the World” follows five homeless teens as they traverse the region to reclaim a plot of...
