Scott Lax

Scott Lax is a novelist, film and television writer and producer, short
story writer, playwright and essayist. He graduated from Hiram College
and studied Shakespeare at the University of Cambridge. As a musician,
Scott performed with Bo Diddley, among others. He's a Bread Loaf
Writers' Conference Scholar in Nonfiction and Sewanee Writers'
Conference Fellow in Fiction. He was named Midwest Filmmaker of the
Year, and his novel, "The Year That Trembled," was called one of 1998's
"Milestones in Fiction" by The Denver Post. He's received numerous
awards for his short fiction and essays, and wrote for Comedy Central.
Scott Lax is co-creator, writer and executive producer for a TV pilot
starring two legends of American comedy, Martin Mull and Fred Willard.
His company, Scott Lax Productions, is also co-producer of "Backstage
with Martin Mull and Fred Willard," upcoming on PBS.
