Bill Rude grew up outside of Milwaukee, Wisconsin immersed in one of
the most renowned high school fine art programs in the country. He
continued his education on scholarship to the Minneapolis College of
Art + Design, where he earned a BFA in Film and Digital media before
moving onto Los Angeles where he earned a MFA from The University of
Southern California's prestigious school of Cinema and Television.
An expert in pastiche and nostalgia, his creative eye is lent to all
manner of film production from designing titles, props, and costumes,
to visual effects and directing.
Rude has also taught animation and film production at the Minneapolis
College of Art + Design (MCAD), as well as character animation at the
California Institute of the Arts. In his spare time he is
also a successful horror artist, showing his work
around the Los Angeles area as well as the country.
