Anika Noni Rose and Hill Harper hosted the 41St NAACP Image Awards, which was broadcast live from Los Angeles’ historic Shrine Auditorium last night on Fox.
Celebrated were the accomplishments of people of color working in the fields of literature, music, television and film.
Special honors were presented to Tyler Perry who received the NAACP Chairman’s Award, Wyclef Jean who received the NAACP Vanguard Award, Clarence Avant who was inducted into the NAACP Hall of Fame, and Van Jones who received the NAACP President’s Award.

"Precious" leads the nominations for the 41st annual NAACP Image Awards earning eight noms including Best Director for Lee Daniels, Best Actress for Gabourey Sidibe, Supporting Actress for Mariah Carey, Monique, and Paula Patton, and Best Supporting Actor for Lenny Kravitz.
"Precious" also got nods for Outstanding Motion Picture and Outstanding Independent Film. Other films nominated were "Invictus," "Michael Jackson's This Is It," "The Blind Side," and "The Princess and the Frog."
Winners will be announced Feb. 26 on Fox.

After living together for years, longtime partners David Letterman and Regina Lasko finally tied the knot. Announcing his wedding to Regina during a taping for his TV show "Late Show with David Letterman" on Monday, March 23, the comedian confirmed, "On Thursday, at 3 P.M., March 19, 2009, at the Teton County Courthouse in Choteau, Montana, I was married to Regina Lasko."
"Regina and I began dating in February of 1986, and I said, 'Well, things are going pretty good, let's just see what happens in about ten years...'", David continued. "...I had avoided getting married pretty good for, like, 23 years, and I -- honestly, whether this happened or not -- I secretly felt that men who were married admired me...like I was the last of the real gunslingers, you know what I'm saying?'" he jokingly added.

Late-night U.S. chat show host David Letterman has secretly wed his longtime girlfriend Regina Lasko, according to news reports.
The Late Show host and Lasko exchanged vows last week, according to UsMagazine.com. The pair had been dating since 2001, and Lasko gave birth to their first child, Harry, in 2003.
Letterman, who was previously married to his college sweetheart, Michelle Cook, fell in love with Lasko while she worked as his assistant.
The couple reportedly wed at the TV star's Montana ranch in September, 2003, but those rumours proved to be untrue.
