People across the planet know her as the “Friday” singer, but teenager Rebecca Black wants to leave that all behind and start a serious recording career. Her video for “Friday” has had more than 120 million YouTube views, most of which were people who loaded the page simply for the opportunity to give the song a “thumbs-down.”
But despite the fact that people hate her, she can’t sing, and her songwriting team is atrocious, some people besides Black do think she could have a future in the music business. In fact, she’s already got a recording contract for a five-song Ep to be released later this year. So perhaps we’ll get to learn what happened on Saturday after all.
