- In 1988-1989, Brad worked as a music journalist at RPM Weekly Magazine. RPM is a trade paper for the Canadian radio and recording industry. He has met, interviewed, and/or written about many music biz giants including: Def Leppard, Queensryche, Lisa Dal Bello, Mick Ronson, Steven Tyler, Gene Simmons and Alice Cooper.

- In the Mike Myers comedy "The Love Guru" (2007) Brad played an NHL Linesman,(#72) in all the Hockey scenes at Toronto's Air Canada Centre, and Oshawa Ontario's GM Arena. (He can be seen skating hard to break up the many fights on the ice.) Commenting on Brad's skating speed, the late NHL Hockey Star Bob Probert said to him: "Hey man...I really saw you MOVE out there!" Brad still treasures that remark as the best thing ever said about his Hockey skating.
- Brad owned a black Persian Cat named "Pris" who made an appearance in the 2002 TV Movie: "The Pact." Pris sat on Brad's lap in the waiting room of an Animal Hospital. She was named after Darryl Hannah's character "Pris" from the classic Science Fiction movie: "Blade Runner.".
- Since childhood, Brad's favorite Rock Band is The Beatles. His favorite Musician is Sir Paul McCartney.
- Brad's father was (RCNVR) John Henry "Jack" Wietersen, a World War II veteran in the Royal Canadian Navy. Jack Wietersen served aboard the Canadian Destroyer HMCS Assiniboine (I18), in the Battle of the Atlantic.
- Brad's favorite record album is "Pet Sounds", written, produced and arranged by musical genius Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys.
- Brad's all time favorite song is "God Only Knows" written by Brian Wilson and Tony Asher, from the Beach Boys classic album "Pet Sounds.".
