"Modern Family" will be sprinkled with a little Pepper on Wednesday (March 23).
Nathan Lane reprises his guest role as Cameron (Eric Stonestreet) and Mitchell's (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) very dramatic friend in the episode, called "Boys' Night." The trio, as well as their friends Longinus (Kevin Daniels, who also appeared earlier this season) and Crispin (Craig Zimmerman), run into Jay (Ed O'Neill) at a restaurant as he's trying to avoid having to go to the symphony with Gloria (Sofia Vergara) and Manny (Rico Rodriguez).
Mitchell, of course, is not especially pleased when the guys invite his dad to join them, but from the looks of the clip below, everyone gets along famously. Which, we're assuming, only puts Mitchell more on edge.
Also in the episode, Claire (Julie Bowen) and Phil (Ty Burrell) get worried when Luke (Nolan Gould) befriends a curmudgeonly neighbor (guest star Philip Baker Hall), and Haley (Sarah Hyland) babysits Lily.

It’s back, people! ABC’s Modern Family returns tomorrow night with an all new episode entitled “Boys Night.” Set your DVR for 9pm Eastern and remember, they like to sneak an extra minute onto the back end of the show – you don’t want to miss a moment of this one!
Here’s what I know. Jay ends up at the same bar where Mitchell and Cameron are having “boys’ night out” with all of their gay friends. They guys are an absolute hoot (Nathan Lane once again guest stars as friend, Pepper), and in spite of Mitchell’s trepidation at inviting him over to the table, he squeezes in and joins the crowd. The clip I saw has only the very beginning of the event, but the pictures sure make it look like the evening is a rousing success. That’s what I love about Jay, he can complain like crazy,...
