With over 35 years of Martial Arts experience, Marcus Young has
obtained a 3rd degree black belt and continues his knowledge in various
disciplines. He is a National and Internationally recognized champion
and specializes in weapons, forms and fighting.
From his vast experience in the Martial Arts and athletic background,
he exploded into the film industry and is notably one of Hollywood's
top stuntmen. With the deep desire to grow further in the business,
Marcus furthered his knowledge at California State University
Northridge's film program with an emphasis in "Directing and Editing."
He graduated the program with honors.
With his skills and knowledge in front and behind the camera, he has
bridged the gap to become a stunt coordinator/2nd unit director. With
creativity being his main focus, he has been a part of some of the most
dynamic action scenes to date.
Young started training in martial arts at the age of 5, under his father Victor Young, a 6th degree black belt Shotokan instructor and founder of the Camarillo Shotokan Karate Do Center.
After high school Young attended Moorpark College, then transferred to and graduated from CSU Northridge's film school, where he studied directing and editing.
