In just over a month, Dave Zohrob's Twitter app, LOLquiz, has amassed more than 300,000 users and spawned at least 20 trending topics. Wtf?
If I were a Jonas Brothers song, I would be "Burnin' Up;" if I were a Harry Potter character, I would be Ron Weasley; and if I were a 27-year-old techie who could, on a whim, propel both of these valuations into the upper echelon of Twitter's most talked-about topics, I would be Dave Zohrob, the founder and CEO of LOLquiz.
Chances are you haven't heard of LOLquiz, which is barely four weeks old. But if you've browsed Twitter in the past month, you've seen what it spawns: Annoying, seemingly random half-tweets (Which Disney Channel... Which Mj song... Which Harry Potter...) that consistently trend in popularity above more serious topics, such as "Iran Election." If you dare to click one on these links, you'll see thousands upon thousands of identical missives,...

Unlike some people, I've always been a fan of Ben Affleck. Sure he went through his own Pitt-Jolie phase back when he was dating JLo, and because of that a lot of people began to despise Affleck, but I hung in there and admired the choices he's made later on in his career, not to mention really enjoyed his directorial debut, Gone Baby Gone. For me, though, Affleck has always been at his best when he plays villain or wise ass or bully. One of my favorite roles of his is when he played O'Bannion in Dazed and Confused, and he's also fantastic in a brief supporting appearance in Boiler Room.
In Boiler Room -- which follows a young college dropout (Giovanni Ribisi in one of his best roles) up through the ranks of a Chop Shop out on Long Island -- Affleck plays Jim Young, the firm's trainer of new recruits.

Michelle Obama and Carla Bruni-Sarkozy take part in a welcoming ceremony at the Palais Rohan, in Strasbourg, France. By Jim Young/Reuters/Corbis.The reigning First Lady of fashion, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, met her match today in Strasbourg, France, when U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama stopped by for a little tête-à-tête while the pair’s husbands convened before a Nato summit. Boosting the global economy wasn’t the main topic of conversation between the two presidents, although their wives both appear to be helping out with that: Obama wore a magenta silk dress with a metallic sheen by Thakoon that reportedly cost about $1,500, while Bruni-Sarkozy appeared in a neutral-colored velvet lambskin Christian Dior coat estimated at around $6,000.
