Photo: Warner Bros. Today was the highly impressive panel for Terminator Salvation from Warner Bros. and I will say if the fans weren't on board before they are now as director McG managed to turn this room from dead and quiet to raving loons. Along with McG, in attendance were stars Common, Bryce Dallas Howard, Moon Bloodgood, Anton Yelchin and Sam Worthington. They were also accompanied by the endoskeleton of a T-600 the Terminator model that will be featured in Terminator Salvation. He compared it to the first Mac's and how large they were and then how much more compact and advanced they got through the years. So the T-600 is a much larger version than we have seen. McG referred to its creation in comparison to a Soviet tank. Prior to introducing the footage McG addressed the rumor that the film would be PG-13. To get to the point he said,

We couldn't be deeper into talk about the movies for Summer 2008, but it's never too early (or is it?) to look ahead to next summer. In case you missed the update, Star Trek is no longer opening at the end of this year. Instead, Paramount has moved the J.J. Abrams reboot to May 2009, although I frankly would've preferred it as a fall/winter tentpole because we have enough summer franchises as it is.
I love the idea of having a guy like J.J. Abrams put this movie together. There simply aren't too many popcorn dramatists who ask the question "What if we do this?" with results as entertaining and unique as Abrams. Even diehard Trekkies might be forced to admit that Star Trek was long overdue for a new set of eyes and a fresh coat of paint.
They're going the prequel route with a promising cast that includes Chris Pine as Captain Kirk,

Yahoo! Movies today premiered the first teaser trailer for McG’s upcoming sci-fi action flick “Terminator Salvation,” and although it doesn’t reveal much of anything, it definitely let me wanting to see a whole lot more.
As you may know by now, the fourth installment in the popular series stars Christian Bale as John Connor, who struggles to prevent the machines from eliminating what is left of humanity. The flick also stars Anton Yelchin, Sam Worthington, Moon Bloodgood, Helena Bonham Carter and Bryce Dallas Howard.
As I said, don’t expect to see much in this 54-second clip. Whatever you do end up seeing though looks pretty awesome. “Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins” is scheduled for release May 22, 2009.

This wasn't supposed to be online this early, but here it is anyway, the first teaser trailer for the (soon to be) highly anticipated Terminator Salvation. Christian Bale stars as John Connor, Bryce Dallas Howard as Kate Connor, and Anton Yelchin as Kyle Reese. After seeing this, I'm finally able to tell you that officially this does not look that impressive... at all. In comparison to the Watchmen trailer, it's like night and day (this one being the ugly one). Although this is a teaser and barely shows any footage, I'm still not that excited. However, I think we just need to see more. There are a few scenes that make me feel like it could be great, plus I don't think anyone can go wrong with Christian Bale! Overall, I'm not looking forward to this (yet), but maybe I need to see this trailer on the big screen to

MTV premiered the first official poster for Peter Sollett’s upcoming drama “Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist,” which follows Michael Cera and Kat Dennings as they fall for each other while looking for the favorite band’s unannounced concert somewhere in New York City.
The film is based on the novel by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan and will open Oct. 3, 2008. Enjoy the cool poster below. And by the way, if you’re wondering who Kat Dennings is, she played the weird piano player in “Raise Your Voice” and starred as Anton Yelchin’s love interest in “Charlie Bartlett.”

There has been cautious optimism about the upcoming Terminator trilogy since it was announced that Christian Bale would play John Connor.
The cast has filled out rather nicely since then - funny how that works - although I still question whether McG is the right director. Then again, I said the same thing about Jonathon Mostow for T3, and that turned out better than I expected.
And now there's news that a new, more-than-reputable actor will join the ensemble that already includes Anton Yelchin, Sam Worthington, Moon Bloodgood, Common, and Bryce Dallas Howard. WENN is reporting that Helena Bonham Carter "has been offered a small but pivotal role" in the film.
Last year, Bonham Carter received a Golden Globe nomination for Sweeney Todd, and she already has an Oscar nomination for The Wings of the Dove back in 1997. She also has a good gauge for blockbusters and culturally relevant films,

Helena Bonham Carter is in negotiations to appear in McG’s upcoming action flick “Terminator Salvation,” the fourth installment in the popular series launched by James Cameron in 1984.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Carter’s role would be small but crucial to the story. The film stars Christian Bale in the role of lead character John Connor, who struggles to prevent the ruthless machines from eradicating humanity.
Anton Yelchin, Sam Worthington, Moon Bloodgood and Bryce Dallas Howard co-star. “Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins” already started principal photography, with a release date set for May 22, 2009. A potential SAG strike could however cause delays in the production.
Bonham Carter was last seen alongside Johnny Depp in “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.” She will next reprise her role as Bellatrix Lestrange in “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.”
Although she’s supposed to make a brief appearance only, her addition

While some websites are claiming that production has shut down, new casting breaks still have been hitting the web (I guess we know which story is true). Moon Bloodgood (pictured inside) is in final negotiations for the female lead in McG's Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins, which principal photography is set to begin May 5. She will play a no-nonsense and battle-hardened member of the resistance. Bloodgood will star alongside Christian Bale, Sam Worthington and Anton Yelchin in the fourth installment of the sci-fi series, which Warner Bros. will release May 22, 2009.

Charlie Bartlett , starring Anton Yelchin, is getting vastly mixed reviews. The title character finds popularity at his high school by taking over a stall in the boy's room and dispensing advice and Ritalin that he has been prescribed for Add. Chris Kaltenbach in the Baltimore Sun begins his review by observing: "Charlie Bartlett the character is an insufferably self-absorbed, irredeemably opportunistic teen philistine who'll do anything to maintain his popularity. If you want to spend 97 minutes watching his adventures, then by all means, have at it. Me? I'd pass." On the other hand, Wesley Morris comments in the Boston Globe: "It takes a minute for Charlie Bartlett to distinguish itself from the movies and books it appears to be ripping off. But once it does, the movie transforms into an exuberant, unexpectedly smart comedy about the fraught give-and-take between kids and grown-ups." Among the reviewers, there's not much middle-ground.
